DAMMIT. Why don’t people like this place more??? Why did it close? Well, I know why… it was always empty. I just don’t understand WHY. No, it wasn’t the greatest food on earth, but for what it was, it had GREAT value. And for the value, that boosted the quality to even higher levels. That’s just the way it was. ANDNOWIT’S GONE. Again… DAMMIT. All of us loved this place. I used to love their burgers, but when I kinda gave up beef for the most part, I switched to everything chicken, and I never had a bad meal. GREAT baked potatoes, great fries. Nice salads, caesar and otherwise. Grilled chicken breast, grilled chicken sandwich. It didn’t matter. I loved the assortment of sandwich toppings, and no matter what I ordered, I always found something from the toppings bar to add to my food. Always very flavorful, tasty, and DIRTCHEAP for what I got. My daughters LOVED their hamburgers, fries and the cheese sauce. Man oh man, did they LOVE that cheese sauce. I didn’t, but they could have done an IV drip of that stuff, if possible. They loved their shakes, and I occasionally got their root beer float, which was fantastic. Why did it have to leave us? I’m NOT driving to Tucson, AZ to go to Fudd’s. I’m just not. That’s the only one I know that still exists.

I would rate this slightly better than Johnny Rockets. Flavor-wise the burgers are bland but you do have the choice of adding other sauces to make up for it. I do like the stripper poles they’ve added to a few booths but I have yet to see an attractive young woman earn her wages to either pay for med or law school. Decent prices, ok food, good parking. Overall, I don’t come here often only because I can get a better burger at either the Habit, In N Out, or Islands.

My absolute, without question favorite burger place. I love the meat, I love the self serve cheese, I love the seasoned fries, I love the fresh buns, I LOVEFUDDS! They even have grenadine next to the fountain drinks so you can make a wicked cherry pepsi. They have very fresh veggies to make your own burger with and hands down the best milk shake you are going to find in a chain restaurant. I live in Ventura and have no problem trudging up the grade to get a burger here. As for the price, well, a couple of extra bucks for a burger this good is fine with me. So after all this praise, I imagine you are asking why i only gave it 4 stars? Well, the food is 5 stars from me, but the staff and the place itself leave something to be desired. The staff isn’t necessarily bad, just young and careless on occasion. A couple of times i have asked for medium well and gotten well above medium. And it turned out not to be the fault of the kitchen, it was just written down wrong. They are a bit slow to address problems as well. I once had to wait about 10 minutes for them to replace the empty cheese dispenser, which is insane to me, as that is really one of their top attractions. These are fairly isolated incidents though, and in general the service is ok. Not fantastic, but ok. As for the interior, I am not a fan. It doesn’t feel like a Fudd’s to me. My all time favorite Fuddruckers is the Buena Park Location. It has a nice arcade, a room with tv’s to watch a game and enjoy a burger with the boys, a large bakery that’s separate from the rest of the place where you can get cookies and brownies to take home, and alot of the 50’s nostalgia theme all over the walls. Bottom line, it’s fun, and it’s how Fudd’s should be. The T.O. location is boring, has no arcade, and the«theme’ is just some random Beatles and Stones pictures on the wall, and the bakery is just a little glass counter with limited selection. The Sherman Oaks location is this way as well, and I’m assuming all the newer ones are dull. Basically, it’s a strip mall burger joint. So that knocks it down a star for me. The food makes up for all this though and i will continue to eat here until i’m dead, which shouldn’t be too long if I eat here often. But what a way to go!

Fuddruckers has really grown up. We used to go to one way away from here back when I was a kid, because they had some Kids Eat Free thing on some night of the week and we could play arcade games. We used to eat the burgers, but what we’d really remembered were the big, fat, beautifully spiced steak fries. Now it’s about 20 years later, I live in California, and humanoid apes may or may not have destroyed the Statue of Liberty, or so I’m told. The Pat & Oscars here somehow got the boot even though it was always packed, and I groaned to see Fuddruckers replacing it until I saw what a great job they did redecorating the place. It’s really sleek, with a sort of upscale nightlife feel and looks nothing like the tacky monstrosity where a Shaquille O’Neal who’d gotten a gigantic head from sketchy tonic or something was dunking in our NBA Jam machine. The fries seem a little smaller, but the spices are still right. The burgers are better than I remembered, but not«world’s greatest.» I guess that must be as judged by Mr. or Ms. Fuddrucker’s mom or something. What’s odd is that they’ve expanded the menu — or maybe I just never noticed it – so they’ve got things like chicken fingers and chicken sandwiches that taste better than the burgers. It won’t do anything for you from a sentimentalism perspective, but we still love you, Fuddruckers.

I’ve grown up eating at Fuddruckers all my life. Even thought about opening one up in this very area. The cheese sauce is great, love to smother my burger in it and dip my fries in it. I always go for the jalepeno. This Fuddruckers is nothing like the others I’ve been to, and I’ve been to many of them. First, they do not have a baking facility where they can make those melt in your mouth buttery buns. Second, they seem to have a problem with their grill. I’ve eaten here about 7 times. Every single time they have failed to sear the patty the way the other locations do it. In addition, I’ve found that the toppings bar has less than fresh toppings. Wilted lettuce, old tomatoes, etc. Not to mention the cheese sauce does not taste the same here. As far as Fuddruckers goes, this is by far the worst one I’ve been to. It gets 3 stars from me just because the Fuddruckers burger is one of the better burgers and the ingredients and preparation although inferior to other Fudds is still better than most burger joints.

Well a co-worker of mine owed me lunch, and when a group of us decided to come here during a meeting, I figured I’d order whatever I could, because the only thing better than a free meal is free booze. I ordered the ½ pound«works» burger, and chili fries. The thing I liked about this place, is that you basically make your burger with any condiment you choose, and you have a zillion options. Seeing as my meal was free, I loaded up with all sorts of toppings, including the cheese sauce(which I drizzled all over my chili fries as well). The burger was pretty darn good, as were the fries. Overall a solid meal. I do have to say the burger was a little too expensive. I think he spent like $ 25 for both of us to eat. If you’re willing to drop that kind of money for a couple burgers, its worth it. Or, if its free, LOADITUP!

I think the big draw for the Fudds is the self serve cheese sauce– lets be honest. I stopped in for lunch today, with fond memories of loading up on the cheese sauce as a kid at the Fuddruckers in Ventura(now closed). My problem is the price which is out of control. I paid $ 11 for a cheeseburger, fries and a drink. They have a burger bar and of course cheese sauce(two varieties, jalapeño and regular). The burger was actually good, so one star for that and another for the burger bar with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, mayo, mustard etc. and cheese sauce– which goes really well with the fries! If they dropped the price I would give this a 3 star, but as it is it just does not justify the cost. I wonder If I can just go in for the cheese sauce?

Bad experience today. Order taker was incompetent and did not know the menu offerings, especially the«special of the day» which you have to ask for. He kept trying to sell us ala carte. I finally gave up and ordered a burger only. Then my wife stepped up and he offered her a «special.» go figure!!! The mens room was disgustingly gross with paper all over the floors, the towel dispenser was empty and there was water on the floor and the sink area. Lack of employee training and customer happiness lacking here. The burgers have always had a great flavor but the total experience is not worth the price. Our last visit after being regulars since the restaurant opened.

Tried this place twice. I decided to check the place out after one of my co-workers said that it was a pretty good burger. So one day Boyfriend and I decided to go out to the Best Buy in Thousand Oaks with his younger brother, & we decided to check out Fuddrucker’s since his brother loves burgers(and we had a coupon for a free shake). We walked in and were pretty shocked at how much everything was. I thought it was kind of cool to be able to put what you wanted on your burger yourself, but at the same time I kind of wondered how people handled putting their stuff on their burgers. With all the gross people out in the world – yes they do exist, you really never know. Plus with all the children running around… I don’t wanna think about it. The only thing I remember is never being able to finish the Burger no matter what size I ordered & I did like that they had hot cheese that you can pump out for fries or burgers or whatever. The Shakes are actually really freaken’ good so I’d probably come back for it… but only if I have a free shake coupon. And someone else was paying. Haha. PS: I like how the website erases the prices.

Meh, indeed. I enjoy a good burger and would love to try the WORLD’S GREATEST, but this place is not it. I am not in the market to spend $ 10 on a burger I have to put together. I get that that is their«thing» and all, but it’s definently not mine. I feel like I am in high school at the cafeteria line, or at a Vegas buffet, when all I really wanted was the World’s Greatest Burger delivered to me on a silver platter. Okay, not really, but c’mon– when you boast about how great your burgers are, you would think it would at least be different somehow. I’ve made better burgers on my bbq– hell, I’ve had better burgers at Wendy’s! My friends rave about the cheese sauce they have on tap, but if your best thing is tapped cheese at a burger joint, there are issues. I’ve tried their chicken sandwich too and pride myself on being a cone suer of sorts, but again… MEH! :/ Oh yay, and the«waiters», whats with that? They expect a tip for doing WHAT exactly? Annoying the crap out of me? We had this young guy who would come over every 3 minutes and ask in an annoyingly excited voice how everything was… just made the whole experience memorable, and not for the right reasons. We haven’t been back since and even living REALLY close, we take advantage of all the other places around– even Mimi’s café over Fudds. I am surprised this place has lasted so long in the dreeded corner of doom(It has been a Sizzler, a pizza joint and a few other places in the past… nothing lasts long here now) What we really need is a Bob’s Big Boy. They know how to make a burger!!! :)

been to the 1 in minnesota which i think is the OG one but the one in TO is too coroporate. like they are forcing their fuddruckers will upon you. i went here w/a lady friend and i’m pretty sure she hates me for taking her here. but its cool cuz we’re still friends. maybe she wasn’t really feeling the whole look at me i’m fuddruckers vibe and it was descilate inside that place. i mean i sure it had some energy and was packed it be a different story but on a friday afternoon taking a chicky out for lunch. no bueno. they’re food was all right but you can go to in and out for a much tastier burger. spare yourself and if you go, take it to go.

Gluttony, one of the seven deadly sins. This place, totally makes me a glutton. Lord, please forgive me, for I have sinned. Not only am I glutton for the food here, I also lust. :x I can’t believe as a burger aficionado, I’ve never been to a Fuddruckers sooner. You get to choose what type of burger you want, how you want it cooked, and you get to choose what toppings and condiments you want to add to the«organized chaos» that is your burger. So, since I’m such a glutton, I decide to go with a 2⁄3 lb. «The Works»(smokehouse bacon, mushrooms, and American cheese) meal with my raspberry ice tea and fries. My friend knows I can eat, but was even shocked that I would order a burger that big. I couldn’t get myself to order a 1 lb., with such a wonderful shape that I’m in(round is a shape), I settled for the smaller burger. My burger came fairly fast(lunch time) and it was grilled just right. Was still juicy and wasn’t charred(I hate how some places have that burnt taste). I piled on the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, light mayo, mustard, and ketchup. My fries received a nice shower of nacho spicy cheese. Oh man, after chowing down on my burger, fries, and drinking my ice tea, I felt like my friends should’ve just rolled me out of this place. A good place for a restaurant type burger. I can’t wait to stuff my face again here.

I never really understood how restaurants can claim that their food is the best without some sort of proof. Having a «World’s Greatest Hamburger» on your logo does NOT make you the world’s greatest. Some of my buddies love this place. In fact, my girlfriend enjoys their burgers and their imitation cheese sauce, and it’s understandable because she grew up with Fudds as a kid. But that should probably be the extent of how much you should love Fuddruckers; if you liked it as a kid, sure, you may still love it now. But otherwise, it’s just another burger joint. Their food is pricey, and a ½ pound combo can run you 10 bucks easily. Like they advertise, please stick with their burgers; I’ve tried most of their menu items and there really isn’t any other winners in their appetizers, chicken, and salad menus. The only other things worth noting are their strawberry milkshakes, sliders, and if you’re feeling risqué, the ostrich and buffalo burgers. WTF Moments: — Show your military ID and get 50% off. Yeah, five zero. One of the reasons why I frequent this place, and why I get invited so often. — They have circular booths that can fit probably 6 or 7 people; don’t you hate it when you see only one or two in them booths? Douche-bags.

As with many chains in the Conejo Valley, Fuddruckers isn’t anything to write home about. If my b.f. is in the mood for a quick burger or we’re bored with the places we’ve been going, we hit Fuddruckers. I like the sliders… they’re tiny and I can custom make as many little burgers as I feel like ordering. One little burger with only cheese, mustard and ketchup? Great! One little burger with the works, yes! One little jalapeo burger? Comin’ up! Yeah, so the condiment bar isn’t crazy-loaded with stuff but it’s still nice to create the burger exactly the way you want it. Oh and one more thing… their buffalo burger is REALLY good!

I don’t get why this location has so many bad reviews… Fuddrucker’s is one of the best burger places ever. The portions are large, and it’s hard for me to finish a 1/3lb burger. Their burgers are speciality burgers such as Hawaiian, Southwestern, etc. Then, you can go over to the section with fresh vegetables and tasty sauces. Good food!

This was a staple lunch place when I worked at Countrywide… Food was good and large portions. just the seating area was limited. not limited in size just the crowd is outnumbers the available tables and you end up getting the first table that opens up. so if u are alone and get a table that can sit six… be ready for evil looks.

I walked out feeling sick. The buns are buttered beyong belief. I thought the whole point of the build-you-own-hamburger concept was to be endowed with myriad options. Not here. You get to choose from your typical lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion toppings. Maybe their version of variety is giving you a choice between red and white onions?

If you are a HOSS, you’d better eat at Fuddrucker’s to prove your manlihood! The best deals are with the specials. It’s not that much more to upgrade from a ½ lb to ¾ lb burger, so just get it, even if you have to take it to go. Their seasoned fries are worth every penny. Usually I will take my stripped burger and load up on jalapenos and diced onions. I don’t care if the damn burger explodes because I just end up eating the remnants of the explosion in my take-out box anyway! What are my favorite specials? Bacon cheddar and the Southwest! If you have to go back to work, I suggest adding to your meeting schedule a 30 minute teleconference with a bathroom as your location.

Sooo greasy. Small portions. The first time I went, it didn’t seem so bad. but the second time I went(it was a last resort) they charged extra on my veggie burger. It sucked. Plus, there were screaming little kids all over the place to top it off. Never going back. I prefer In ‘n Out.

I have fond memories of Fuddruckers and Flakey Jakes. I ate at both of them as a kid then both of them disappeared. Now Fuddruckers seems to be making a come back with a growing number of locations in Southern California. We went to this location for my brothers 30th birthday. If you have never been to Fuddruckers they are known for their hamburgers. You walk up order and then go pick it up. The unique thing is you get to put all the produce and condiments on yourself. They make a damn fine hamburger and I have never been disappointed. The decorating in each location is unique and fun.
