I don’t know how in the hell!!! This place has good reviews. I order the the pizza breads they use spaghetti sauce. They were not good I also got the bbq beef sandwich wasn’t impressed at all it looked like they put two slices of square government cheese on it you can totally tell cuz it was«melted» and it looked like two squares of cheese lol. I won’t ding them on there chili cheese fries those were pretty good I’ll give them that. I will not be returning tho.

Cold food and poor customer service on more than one occasion. I live in Palmdale and come down to thousand oaks every other week looking forward to eating here. If I wanted a bad cold hotdog I could go anywhere. Will not be returning

The owner of this small business definitely knows what they are doing. The ambiance in here is wonderful, keeping the homy vibes adding the efficiency of a franchise. I could see myself hanging out in here speaking with the staff enjoying these wonderful dawgs. I got the Chicago dawg for my first time. Their most popular. I’m excited about coming back and trying more of their options!

This place is absolute trash. I’m so upset I just spent $ 30 to throw it away. It’s like they use the cheapest ingredients possible and just smother it with bad sauce. I have no idea why this place has good reviews. Really upset and will probably delete my Unilocal app now because it tricked me into buying this disgusting food.

Delish. Haven’t had such good Italian beef since leaving Chicago. The service was fantastic and very friendly. We will return.

Stopped in and tried both the chicago dog and chilli dog. Very much as expected, all the right stuff for a true Chicagoan, but, the bun on the dog was stale(chilli dog bun was fresh). I will go back and give it anopther try, but am a bit disappointing and they have not yet proven to be of the same caliber as Taste of Chicago in Burbank. The true test will be the beef sandwiches and deep dish pizza.

4 Stars is the highest I’ll ever give to any place. I’ve never had a Chicago dog from Chicago, but I love them. They say Dayne’s has the most authentic. I wouldn’t know the difference, but I do know it is awesomely delicious. The best Chicago dog I’ve ever had. If I’m going to have a Chicago dog, it’s gonna be from Dayne’s. I do know Dayne’s uses the same neon green relish and the same peppers that are used in Chicago. This is the only place I’ve had a Chicago dog that uses such ingredients. And, the actual dogs are spectacular too. Next up, I’m trying the deep dish pizza. Again, I’ve never been to Chicago, but the pictures sure do look authentic.

Great food, great service, and a surprise with great pizza. We go to Dayne’s at least once a month. Usually get the Polish dog with sauerkraut, but everything we have tried is great. Service is quick and friendly. Eat in, or take out, very convenient.

Oh my gosh this place is good!!! Just ordered 2 pies, two shrimp dawgs and two sweet potato tots. Everything is so good! It took them a little longer to get my food to me like 10 minutes, but the young girl who took my order(sooo nice) let me know that it was gonna be an hour or so before it got to me. She warned me it was busy before my transaction was finished so I knew it wasn’t gonna be fast. That’s what matters a lot to me, just knowing so you aren’t waiting around. Great communication from the staff. Food was off the hook! Best hotdog I’ve ever had in my life! I wish I had ordered a lot more of them! Pizza off the hook! Tots are cooked perfectly! My picky 3 and a half year old just loves them! Possibly my favorite pizza joint around! Top 3 for sure, but I don’t eat meat, so the shrimp hotdog just gives this place an even higher score! Yummy, Yummy, Yummy!

First time here, smelled it down the street and had to try it! Taylor was so nice, walked me through the options and gave us a great recommendations for some sandwiches(which were a great deal and had some for lunch the next day) while waiting she had a smile on her face, was helping customers whether offering boxes or making sure everything was kept clean. Place was clean, organized and food was great(and out really quick) definitely will be coming again on my lunch, and props to Taylor for great customer service !

Had the Roger’s Park deep dish, it was very delicious and enjoyed every bite of it. Its a shame eating each piece that I wouldn’t want the experience to end. Friendly staff with great ambiance. Definitely would come back with more friends to share this discovery. Highly recommended!

First visit. So glad I found a place that serves authentic Chicago fare. Tried the Chicago Dawg and sweet potato tots with garlic ranch. My son had the BBQ beef sandwich. YUM. Can’t wait to come back and try the deep dish pizza.

Tried the deep dish recently, sausage pieces, green peppers n mushroom. That was our order in Chicago from lou malnatis. I think I kinda liked it, it’s not lou’s but best option out this way. Only feedback, the sausage pieces were a little toasty on top.

Wow please allow me to repeat myself wow… Yes people that’s a double wow for those keeping score at home. This is the windy city, Wrigley field and Da Bears and Bulls all wrapped up in a little piece of culinary nirvana known as Dayne’s in of all places that restaurant mecca Thousand Oaks. The food is legit and a local legend along with Mouthful Eatery and Dog Haus. I had the Da Bomber and added the giardiniera omg so succulent, moist and bursting with amazing layers of flavor. Off the charts rich and savory I inhaled every morsel… My son the Birracha Dawg wrapped in bacon with all the fixins. Just incredible and equally off the charts bursting with flavor. He looked at me after his first bite and it was as if the culinary gods shined upon him. If I didn’t know better it seemed like he was having a moment. Lol Rounding out the feast was the cheese fries with some of the best homemade cheese sauce ever. Simple yet sublime. Next time it’s the chili cheese fries which looked ridiculous at the adjoining table. Dayne’s welcomes and transforms you. The staff is eager and friendly not to mention inherently knowledgeable about the food. We met Dayna the incredible omnipresent and visionary owner. She’s a rock star engaging, charming and passionate about her namesake restaurant yet truly down to earth like you just met a genuine friend for life. We were told that the authentic handmade and individually rolled deep dish pizza is a work of art… We’re sooo in and coming back soon. Be advised it’s only available beginning around 4:30pm. Dayne’s is a go too and shouldn’t be missed. The food is worthy of accolades and really complex notwithstanding the fast casual menu. Program there number in your speed dial and there address as your home in Google Maps. Trust me. Did I happen to mention the double wow just sayin!

Good overall experience. Pizza was really good. Tasted similar to what I had in Chicago, but not as deep. The chi dawg was a bit on the small size, and I’ve definitely tasted better in the Midwest. They should steam their bun. The beef sandwich was very tasty, actually preferred over portillos by a smidge. The server was very nice, even gave us a extra dawg when the chef made a boo boo. Not many places in SoCal offering good Chicago eats, so Dayne’s is much appreciated!

I’m from Chicago, and now find myself living in Westlake Village. This place is legit — not quite on the level of, say, an Al’s Italian Beef or Portillo’s, but considering it’s about a mile from my house instead of 2500 miles, it gets a 4 for overall quality and a bonus star for proximity.

We live is Oxnard and when we go to Thousand Oaks we try to stop my Dayne’s because they don’t have anything like that where we live. Pros. The Chicago dog is delicious. They use the proper green relish and peppers that is required on a legitimate Chicago dog. The Cheese fries are so good with this delicious creamy cheese sauce that doesn’t take like its out of a can. The skinny fries are crispy and fresh. The chili dog is pretty good. They have a great patio area. Cons. I always order the chili dog with no mustard and they always forget and put mustard on it and I have to send it back. The parking lot is challenging. It’s easy to get in but a nightmare to get out because we have a large truck. The dining inside is small with like 4 tables so it’s really cramped inside. They have a great patio but it’s so loud because it’s on a busy road. They cut the onions long and they are hard to eat on a really hot chili dog. I wish they would chop them up.

My coworker. An actual Chicagoan herself told me about this place last year. So me and my boyfriend decided to give it a try, and we instantly fell in love. I have always said to myself if you want to stand out in the food industry you need to be doing things no one else is doing and that will set you apart from everyone else. Dayne’s does just that. Da combo is my favorite Italian Beef sandwich, and their Chicago dogs are so good, and taste very authentic. I also LOVE the cheese fries, I recently went in just to order those because they are amazing. After craving authentic Chicago Deep dish pizza for a little while, and being let down numerous times recently. I noticed they started serving Chicago Deep dish pizza, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the stuffed crust plain cheese deep dish. It was amazing. Just a note: Deep Dish is only served after 5 p.m.(It says it on the menu) AND it can take up to 60 minutes sometimes for them to make it.

Having a recent craving for Al’s Beef and considering there are none in close proximity to me, I relied on Unilocal to help me satisfy my Italian beef craving. This place showed up and it wasn’t too far from the old location of Garage Dogs off Thousand Oaks blvd. Though I am still mourning the loss of Garage Dogs(which had superb food), I digress and was thankful to have found this place. I phoned in my order and it was prepared upon pick up. The following is what was ordered. «Da Beef»(Italian Beef sandwich) — which I had the au jus, sweet and hot peppers on the side since I picked this up and wanted to enjoy it at home. The Au Jus was flavorful and was just short of being a sodium bomb(which is a good thing). The bread they used held up nicely once I added the peppers and lightly poured the Au Jus over the whole thing. Quite impressive and even when the Au Jus finally soaked into the bread, it still didn’t fall too badly apart and I enjoyed the sandwich quite well. «Chicago Dawg»(Chicago Hot Dog — dog was good, but unfortunately, didn’t have the snap that I’m used to. It was topped with sport peppers, neon green relish, mustard, tomatoes, slivered onions(used to chopped), on a poppy seed bun. I think it was missing Celery salt as I didn’t taste it biting into the dog. Overall a decent representation, but I’ve had better. Overall, tastes were both there, but the only drawback, the size/portions are bit on the smaller side, maybe if they had an option for a larger Italian Beef, I would surely come back more frequently for that. A good place to satisfy my craving, but doesn’t top Al’s.

I’m going to keep this simple. Go and get DABEEF! It’s the Italian beef sandwich that started it all here. Thin-sliced, hot and juicy Italian beef in a fresh baked Italian roll with your choice of sweet or hot peppers. One bite and it’s bound to make you forget whatever it was you were thinking or talking about. And it’s easy on the pocketbook. Also get some SWEETPOTATOTOTS and FRIES for the table.
