The Plains Service Center

I needed to take my car over for service, oil change, state safety inspection, as well as a general once over. It’s been sitting in the Driveway for over a year without being driven.
My plan was to take it over to Curry’s in Gainesville, VA — I’ve been reading and hearing good things about Curry’s. So of course the battery is dead — but not a surprise given how long the car has been sitting.
So I called AAA — they had someone over within 45 minutes to give me a jump. Guy from Eddies Towing came over, used one of those portable devices to jump me and I was set. I let the car idle for a few minutes to help charge the battery.
I started to drive over to Curry’s — got about half way there — and stupid me decides that I should probably be driving with my headlights on. So I turn them on. That causes the car to shut down immediately and of course it won’t start up again. I call AAA back and explain the situation — they decide to tow me the rest of the way — so the same guy is sent back from Eddies (I waited about 40 minutes — he was out on another call). Guy gets my car up on the truck and it’s off to Curry’s we go.
