Don’t come here if you are hungry, because the service is so VERYSLOW you’ll pass out before you get your meal. I had to wait 45MINUTES to get two simple chicken skewers and some rice! The Skewers were already prepped ahead, it should have taken 10 minutes or less. A family of 4 waited for an HOUR. All of us were ready to get a refund and walk out. For some reason, people who ordered after us got their food BEFORE us? The kitchen staff is very disorganized. They had like 6 or 7 people all crammed behind a small counter area, wandering around looking confused. Orders were not prepared first come, first served. It appeared take out and to go orders were given top priority while the customers in the dining room got ignored. While people stood around in the dining room waiting and getting mad, the clueless girl at the front counter just stood there playing with her hair. She could have come out and offered us some salad or rolls or something. The food was okay, but certainly not worth the ridiculously long wait. I won’t be coming here again. I could have gone to the grocery store, cooked, and eaten my own skewers in less time then it took to wait for these clowns. They need a bigger kitchen, and need to get organized! Orders placed first get cooked first! If I was a phantom gourmet reviewer, this place would get the broken plate for sure!

One of the better take out spots in Tewksbury. Tons of sandwiches, salads, and dinners to choose from. Their specialty is Greek fare, including gyros, kebabs of all meat selections(beef, lamb, chicken, souvlaki pork, seafood) and other traditional offerings. The tzatziki sauce is an awesome addition to anything, and the French fries are some of the best I’ve had in greater Boston. Check it out!

We recently moved closer to the Lowell/Tewksbury line and have tried this place a few times. They’re consistent and legit for take out food. I love their chicken lemon soup! Meats are cooked well and seasoned. I like that they do hand cut fries, but will echo previous comments about them being soggy — it’s almost like they fry them fry them again when they’re up for order. I also love that tzaziki sauce is served with all the skewers — yum! They do family sized dinners too which is awesome. We’ll be visiting frequently.

The food here is amazing. It’s so fresh & just falls apart in your mouth. I don’t love their steak tips but everything else is excellent! Nice big portions! I especially loveeeeee the chicken skewer and the roasted potatoes with the white sauce that comes on the side with it all… YUM!!! And that bread that comes with that dish… so so so good! I didn’t love them years ago but I think they’ve come a long way. You won’t be disappointed! Can’t wait to go back!

Both my roommates and I have ordered from here on several occasions and actually ended up sick from the food afterwards. If it was just one time I would write it off as a fluke. However, three of us all got sick on different occasions all after ordering food from here I can’t help but feel a bit suspect as to the quality of the food here.

This is a great place to get lunch or a quick dinner. They deliver which is another plus if you have teens who need to be fed. Fresh, cooked to order, so they can make changes for you. We have had burgers, every skewer, and gyros and have never been disappointed. An occasional salad with a skewer on top keeps me within my diet.

Great skewers, yummy burgers and decent fries. I’ve had all of their skewers including the swordfish and they are all fantastic. They have a kids play area on the side as well. They don’t do a good job cleaning the interior however, the tables tend to be a bit grimy, and their ketchup is a bit cheap and seems to be in pretty old containers. We watched a waitress try to clean a table once — it almost seemed like her cleaning fluid was watered down.

A great lunch joint. Period. I’ve eaten here twice and had food to go twice and not once have I been disappointed. The people that I’ve brought here have enjoyed it as well. Where to start… it’s a casual lunch place. In the middle is the plastic silverware and napkin island. Plenty of tables for groups of people that enjoy excellent gyros. Because that’s all I go for — excellent gyros. I haven’t tried anything else there but I’m sure everything else is just as delicious. What else… the soft drinks and water are available from the reach in cooler. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The specials are fantastic. And by specials I mean the gyro specials because that’s all I get. And that’s all you should get, too. Seriously. I mean it. The specials come with a salad. A yummy salad. Go. Now. You’re hungry. I’m hungry.

4 of us ate here this evening. All 4 orders were wrong and the preparers tried to convince us that the beef gyros were lamb and vice versa. Food was just ok but the service sucked.

I had a coworker tell me how envious she was that I live in Tewksbury and can have skewers anytime I wanted. She drives an hour to get to this place so I promised I would try it. It is quite good. I wish I could say I’ve tried the whole menu but I keep getting the lamb pita wrap because it’s awesome. The fries are unique and fresh cut. They deliver and the food good when it arrives, but better on location if you’re particular about textures like me. I still order delivery because it’s a nice healthy break from pizza and Chinese.

Really good! Got a chicken gyro and the chicken was very moist and tasty, not dry at all. The bread that it was wrapped in was delicious. I was able to eat half and save the other half for lunch today!

Skewers was a spontaneous dinner on a Christmas-light drive. With a good selection of menu items and a large dining area, Skewers filled our bellies and kept our bodies toasty before heading back out to festively decorated homes in the area. Greek-themed from the blue-and-white accents to the hilarious touch of ionic column-toppers on interior posts. That said, the gyro was nearly as good as the one I had in Athens itself. Hugely portioned with a lovely tsatsiki and what seemed like a homemade pita. Unfortunately, the Greek salad was disappointing and small, the spanakopita was dryly lacking a satisfactory cheese-to-spinach ratio, and the fish chowder of the day was on the corn starchy side. It took an extremely long time for the food — and we were only one of two customers there — but the counter service was fine. Overall, a decent choice for something different and substantial in the area for lunch or dinner inside or to-go. The gyro is the star here, as are their namesake skewers. We would go baklava in a minute at the next gyro craving.

Wonderful Greek food grilled on an open flame. They have great family take out meals that are loaded with food and many options. Other than their kabobs which are excellent, try the Greek fries! Homemade french fries covered in Greek seasonings and feta cheese. They are served with a side of the Greek yogurt sauce to dip them! Defiantly not your mothers french fries and thank god for that as this creation is wonderful.

I must drive by this place a gazillion times, but never went inside, due to it’s unassuming store front… but what a hidden gem. If you like fresh kabobs(all kinds of meat, including swordfish) and other Greek specialties, you have to stop in. Burgers are great as well, all named after local sports heroes, etc. Always daily specials too. The wait can be lengthy, since they make everything fresh upon order, so if you’re in a hurry for your take out, definitely call ahead. The catering menus look phenomenal, and I’d love to try them out for an upcoming graduation party or family event.

I really enjoy all of the food that I’ve had at Skewer’s. Especially the gyro dinner. You get a nice portion of lamb with a generous side. I usually choose the rice with red sauce. I take one star away from my rating because recently, it seems like they keep you waiting forever to get your food. I was in there on a Wednesday evening around 5pm, and I had already called my food in. I was told to come pick it up in 30 minutes. I got there and had to wait ANOTHER30 minutes as my food got cold on the counter. This was pretty aggravating. It’s been a long wait the last few times. Regardless, the food is pretty awesome at Skewer’s. Give it a try, maybe eat there to make sure your food is still hot when you eat it.

Yummy gyros! It may be the tastiest I’ve ever had, I’ll definitely be getting that again! Their Greek salad was really good, too, the dressing was delicious and they were generous with the olives, pepperoncini, and feta. My son had lamb skewers that he said were delicious and looked great. He really enjoyed the grilled grape tomatoes and I wanted to beg one off of him but decided I’ll order a skewer myself some time. The fries, however, were as greasy as reported by others. The bag was soaked with oil by the time we got home. I dumped the fries on some paper towels and soaked up more grease. Since the fries were a soggy mess, I heated them up in the oven and put them on new paper towels but got even more grease off the fries! The oven didn’t do much to crisp the fries up, either, but at least they were warmer.

Very yummy pulled pork bbq. But had to give a 3 because this was the longest wait ever for a sandwich!
