I had a pickup order which was ordered on phone. Found plenty of parking and a clean restaurant, helpful staff and my order was ready on time. It was all packed by the manager himself. I loved the efficient service and superb food. Will return to this location awesome.

Really nice location and clean. The staff is very friendly and fast. Obviously the fish tacos are addictive and on Tuesdays they have that great $ 1.75 per taco deal!!! Plus it’s close to my house!

Customer service here is great! I usually place a phone order and get great customer service every time. My order is always correct and taken care of as soon as I walk up to the front to pick it up. The only thing I noticed is that their salsa is slightly different than everyone else’s. I believe they follow the same recipe at every location but for some reason the salsa here is slightly different than everyone else’s. It’s not bad! Just different. Besides that, it’s absolutely great. Clean, great customer service.

Cold fish tacos, sent them back and got cold ones again. Don’t understand why people like this place. Overpriced, production line food, almost no service. What this place charges for sub standard food, you could eat at so many better places in Temecula. Just shows you how advertising can sell anything. Sorry for the bad review but some of us out there like Hot Food !!

Attempted to phone in a pickup order, was placed on hold… after 8 minutes on hold I arrived at Rubios only to find no one in line both registers were available. I am still on hold…12 minutes later I order at the register… I’ll hang up now.

I always get great service here and I’ve ordered for pickup and dine in. My usual a is salads, fish tacos and street tacos. My son loves their beans and chips lol! They redid the restaurant last year and it looks great.

The fish tacos are always delicious. Ordered the California Bowl once and was disappointed — if you like a rice lunch then you’d probably like it, but there wasn’t much else substantial in the bowl beside white rice.

Giving it two stars because I got mild food poisoning from the chicken baja burrito. The burrito was delicious, however, chicken must not have been cooked long enough or something was maybe left out. It happens, so I’m not upset about it. I just feel like crap right now. If you do go, the baja burrito is delicious… going down. Coming up? Not so tasty.

1.50 for fish tacos on Tuesday, always good and the line can get pretty long in the evening, but it’s awesome how we always seem to beat the rush. I suggest going before 5 to beat the lines. Love all the salsas there. This is just a good fish taco place to go to.

AMAZING!!! Its been a long time since I had some great fish tacos! I’ve been trying a bunch of different places lately to see who has the best fish and shrimp tacos, and I have been disappointed over and over. Until I came here to Rubios. I went for the Coastal Trio plate and I’m so glad that I did!!! It came with one shrimp taco, one fish taco, and one tilapia taco. All were cooked to perfection!!! The tilapia was cooked in a batter, and gave it a very nice texture but it wasn’t too crunchy which sometimes happens with beer battered fish tacos sometimes. The salmon was grilled and tasted delightful. And lastly the shrimp tacos were so flavorful, and came with slices of avocado which set it off the hook! I can’t decide which one of the 3 was my favorite. I think the Coastal Trio is perfect!

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews… However, I would suggest that if some people don’t like the new items or the taste they should let Rubio’s corp. know with feedback on their website. Me, I still enjoyed my classic shrimp burrito and the salsas! Moist tender shrimps and nice refried beans and such for the filling. Service was good and our order was ready in about 6 minutes, nothing like some others have mentioned. The only«not so great» moment was my chopped salad. It’s a weird hodge-podge of ingredients and not what I was hoping for. It’s a blend of chopped cabbage, romaine, shredded cheese, tortilla strips and a chipotle dressing I really couldn’t taste due to the lettuce having an odd taste that kinda ruined it all. Besides, there wasn’t enough romaine lettuce for me to be able to really call it «salad.» I have let the company know, wonder if they will change it… I actually LIKE the remodeling. It looks GOOD! They need to tweak their menu still to get it firing on all cylinders, um, I mean taste buds.

Love this place ! Beside the great service every time, the food is excellent ! Love their chicken tacos on flour tortilla or thru chipotle chicken salad with chicken or fish !! It’s spicy and healthy. Be sure To ask them to go light on the dressing because it’s a lot otherwise(or maybe get it on the side) Chopped salad was just ok but I would ask for he chips on the side because they are all crumbled up in the salad and if you don’t like that… Overall it’s one of our favorite easy in/out lunch spots

My shrimps were overcooked. Tasted like rubber. Salsa bar has remained empty for the whole time we stayed here. We notified staff twice, with no result. Management is absent. Bug change since renovation.

What in the heck happened to my beloved Rubios? I’ve been eating here at least twice a week since it opened. I loved the beachy laid back feel and of corse the great food. I especially loved the excellent manager Yolanda who knows my name and makes it a point of coming over and saying hello. Now with the remodel it’s turned into a really uncomfortable gathering place to eat with friends. There is no privacy. Tables are crammed right next to each other like a cafeteria. It’s awful. It feels crowded. Nothing inside would indicate this place is mexican food. There are only a few months out of the year we can eat outside. I’m so bummed. Who made the decision to follow the pack and become like everyone else? I don’t feel like coming here anymore. My friends and I are moving on. So sad. Really bad decision to change who you are.

If I could give this Rubio’s location no stars, I would. I officially absolutely hate this place. Every time I come, I’m disappointed. Not in the food but the service. The workers here are snails. It doesn’t matter if your the first customer when they open, lunch time, or the evening. It’s still going to take them half an hour to take your order and get your food out. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a slower establishment. And I only deal with it because I love Rubio’s to the moon and back, and this is the only one in the area. But I just can’t deal with it anymore. I will not return to this location again. Today I decided to phone in an order because I knew they would be slow. So I call at 11:48am. I didn’t get the girls name who answered but she asked is this for pick up or catering? I said pick up, then she asked me to hold. Annoying already… Why’d you ask if you were only going to place me on hold anyway??? So I hold for 9 minutes before she gets back on the phone at 11:57am and takes my order. I literally said 3 things, which only took a second but you couldn’t take my order 10 minutes ago??? I said«a balsalmic and veggie salad, no corn, dressing on the side.» She said ok it will be about 15 minutes which means I just spent my entire lunch break going there, and going back to work because I left. I said to her I just held for 10 minutes and now I’m outside. It can’t be done any faster? She asked me when I would like it done and I said SOON! I’m already here now. I just held for the entire time it would have taken to make the salad. I also got irritated because it sounded like she laughed at that point as if this was funny to her. She ends up telling me 5 – 7 minutes at the least and I said ok. I went in at 12:01pm and walk out at 12:05pm because I’m over it and I’m very irritated at the fact that there’s 5 other people in front of me, so there’s no way I’m getting back to work in time if I wait. In addition, there’s 5 people in the kitchen, 1 of whom is usually on the register, yet she’s just standing there. And 1 girl on the register. It makes no sense to me that there’s 4 registers and only 1 person taking orders. Especially since it’s NOON! It’s rush hour!!! Lunch time! Why aren’t you people prepared for this. Instead, you want each guest to stand in line for at least 15 minutes. That’s absurd! I ended just leaving, upset, no food, and I’m starving! I am very disappointed and I will definitely never come here again!

Sadly, since 2011, Rubios has taken a significant turn down-hill. The atmosphere now looks like it’s been designed by apple computers, and the food(other than their taco tuesday fish tacos) has gone pretty bland. My once-favorite health-mex chicken burrito is now like 75% rice, and has almost no flavor. It takes double the chopotle salsa to wake it up to be edible. Which ever corporate person is responsible for the changes should be fired.

My boyfriend and I went here for a quick lunch before leaving Temecula. The first thing I will say is that the restaurant was very clean(at least the front of the house, I did not use the restrooms). The manager did a really good job of walking around and cleaning up any debris and pushing in chairs and delivering food to people waiting. Now as for the food, it was okay. I got the two taco place with chips and beans. I got the original fish taco(made with fried Cod) and the Salsa verde shrimp taco. It took quite a while to get our food, and the place wasn’t very busy. It did come out hot, so that’s a plus. However, I can’t say I enjoyed it too much. My original fish taco was mostly breading and the salsa verde shrimp taco was good, but nothing to rave about; I needed to add quite a bit of lime to bump up the flavor profile. As for the beans, I couldn’t even eat them. There was so much pepper, it tasted like pepper infused beans that burned your tongue in the wrong way. My boyfriend had to finish them off for me. Now, I’m going to mention the salsa because I absolutely love chips and salsa. I would say that their salsa wasn’t the greatest. They have a charred salsa, but it too was peppery tasting and lacked in flavor. I had the house salsa that is «good on anything» but it was just okay. Maybe it’s because I live in the San Fernando Valley and I’m spoiled by many, many good Mexican restaurants that I wasn’t too impressed. After all, it is a chain. But then again, I would say Baja Fresh is a chain as well and I adore their charred salsa. Anyway, it’s clean and I would probably try it again and hope they just had a rough day when I went in.
