One of the best restaurants in Temecula is apparently under new management. Very disappointed so far. We ordered take out and our order was all wrong, missing the appetizer, the lamb was mostly bone, and the lentils(in a dinner that wasn’t supposed to include lentils), were undercooked. Then they called us and told us that we forgot our appetizer. Like we are behind the counter. Not a good start.

Pamir in Temecula is now closed but the awesome news is they will be moving their wonderful restaurant to San Diego soon. This is so exciting because we live in San Diego. We used to drive up to Temecula at least once a month just so we can eat at Pamir! Noor, the owner of Pamir, will let us know where and when they will move as soon as they finalize the new location.

Not only was our order incomplete, when we received our order it wasn’t even the right kind of meat. I’m all about trying new places, but to be honest will never return to this place again.

My friend suggested this restaurant to me with a guarantee of a great family run spot. His suggestion was right on the money. Their food is tasty and they have recipes that cater to any diet(i.e. vegetarian/vegan), their prices are decent, and it’s ran by a very friendly family. What more could you want? I will definitely come back and I would suggest it to others if you’re in the mood for Afghan food.

For once the reviews are spot on. Went there today for mother s day. Great food, friendly hostess/owner. Very clean. We got a free dessert for mothers day which was nice. Can’t wait to go back. Btw the name of the restaurant has changed(cant remember the new name) but everything else remains the same. Go there you won’t regret it

Service was wonderful, we chose to sit on the patio because the weather was beautiful but inside is beautiful set. We ordered Sambosa as an appetizer it was very tasty I couldn’t decide what dipping sause I wanted to use one was a little spicy but set well with with the mixture inside the pocket. For dinner I ordered the Pamir Special Kabob and my husband Kachaloo Chalow. We both enjoyed our dinner, my husband who spent time in Afghanistan eating with the locals said the seasoning was a little westernized but still good. For dessert we ordered the Afghan Baghlawa, it was amazing. All in all we were checked on by all employees never in a bother way always polite and respectful. We really enjoyed our dinner I recommend steeping out of your comfort zone and giving this small family resturant a try.

The service, décor and ambiance and food was good here. The menu was diverse and interesting. I recommend the eggplant appetizer and chive dumpling with meat sauce. YUM!

Really good dolma, pita, and kabob platter. Lamb was especially good. Also try the cherry blossom tea. Fast service as well.

Absolutely my favorite resturant in town. The atmosphere is very pleasant and quiet, easily allowing conversation. The staff are kind and knowledgeable, giving off a lovely Mom ‘n Pop aura. Our family has been coming here for about six years and we still have yet to grow tired of it! We even take our friends here every chance we get. My favorite appetizer is the sambosa, and I pair it with the wonderful cold Cherry Blossom Iced Tea. I would definitely recommend this fantastic resturant to anyone who enjoys delicious Mediterranean food.

We have been driving up from San Diego to come here for well over a year now. I can honestly say it lives up to my memories every single time. Not once have I thought«Gee, I remember it tasting better than this.» If you are are a fan of meat and fruit paired together, look no further than their lamb with cherry sauce. The lamb is tender and the sauce full of flavor and depth. The basmati rice looks like an insurmountable mountain of food but it’s so light and buttery you’ll be surprised how much you can eat. Our kids love their kabobs too, if it’s something simple you want. And we haven’t had an appetizer there we haven’t loved. Beyond that, the restaurant is a sweet respite from the crazy traffic in that area. And the owner and her daughter are a delight! I don’t usually take the time to write this much but this restaurant deserves your business. Give them a try!

Had the lamb shank. More or less perfectly cooked. The rice was good, not dry or sticky. I would like to see more meat in the sambosa though. To top it off i had the cherry blossom tea. Cuz tea is the shit after dinner and this tea was reeeeeeeeeeealy good. It’s like a good cup of chai tea and a small piece of red velvet cake fell in and melted.

Another great visit to Pamir Kabob House. I ordered the Tandoori Fish(Salmon) and it was the best salmon I’ve ever had! Very moist and tender with a great sauce. One of the best places in Temecula for dinner. I also love the quiet romantic atmosphere ;)

When I walked into this restaurant, I was instantly charmed by the red accents, beautiful décor, and soft lighting. The aromas wafting from the kitchen bewitched me, and I suddenly wanted to order everything on the menu. After taking a look at the menu, we decided to share an order of garlic naan. I then ordered the kofta chalow and the cherry blossom tea for myself, and my boyfriend ordered the lamb qabeli palow for himself. The naan was a bit too dry for me, and I personally did not like the spicy nor the yogurt sauces provided. However, the kofta chalow was phenomenal. The meat balls had spices I had never tasted before, but combined with the basil and tomato brought forth a new twist on familiar flavors I enjoy, as someone who loves Italian food. My boyfriend enjoyed his food so much that he wouldn’t let me try any, so that’s all I can say about that! The cherry blossom tea was warm, unexpectedly, so I waited to drink most of it after my meal. It was thick and had a very unique bite to it, making it a delicious end to an amazing meal. On top of everything else, the owners were incredibly polite and welcoming. The female owner checked on us multiple times to ensure we were enjoying our food, and we made sure she knew we were! 10/10, will come again!

Where to begin, my wife and I found Panmir on a fluke and decided to try it. After a year of faithful dining all we can think to say how AMAZING this restaurant is. It is a family run business with the most wonderful afghani food you will ever taste. The staff is great and so welcoming. Having never tried Afghani food before we didn’t know what to expect, we were guided through the menu with helpful suggestions and a sweet demeanor. The food that came out was to die for and this is a frequent date spot for us now. After a years time we have tried everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Do your self a favor, step out of your comfort zone and enjoy the best meal you will ever have.

Amazing afghan food! Nothin about this place will disappoint. The food is authentic and delicious and the staff is very kind and helpful. The food will arrive in a timely manner and will taste perfect every single time. We had the sambosa and borta appetizers; so good! I ate the Aushak entrée and finished the entire thing. The others ate the Kofta Chalow and Kachaloo Chalow and loved every bite. To drink, I had the cherry blossom tea. Trust me, get this drink hot! It is so good topped with whipped cream. I can’t wait to make my way back to this amazing place.

This place is located in a shopping plaza, tucked away in a corner. The service was great. We went the day after thanksgiving so we were the only customers there. The inside is charming and cute. We ordered the garlic naan, kofta kabob and the chapon kabob. When the naan was done she came and stated the naan was done but it was very crispy, and would we prefer it crispy or soft. We said soft, so she went to have a new one made; which was nice instead of just bringing the crispy one out. The Chapon Kabob plate was SO good! Lamb was cooked perfectly, I asked for all salad instead of the rice and it was perfect. The Kofta Kabob was also really good, this place definitely rivals middle eastern cuisine that’s available in the OC! Back in Temecula, we’ll definitely be back!

The food is really good. I prefer to get the vegetarian plate but I was disappointed when the owner’s wife would not allow a substitute of a same priced vegetable to replace an okra(yuck IMHO) option. I expect more, especially from a mom and pop place. They had allowed a substitute the last time I ordered it and there was another couple sitting within earshot who said we don’t want«our usual substitute» tonight. There are too many other local family restaurants around with good food that make you feel like family and go out of their way to provide an outstanding customer experience.

I still love this place. The lunch specials are always a great deal and dinner offers up a nice ambience for a date night. Must try the cherry blossom tea(among everything else). Also, they cater. If you have an event and would like to have some great Afgan, this just might be who you should hire!

Heard so much about this place and finally had the opportunity to check it out through the Hidden Gems Food Club. Was not disappointed. The owners here are so welcoming and considerate. The ambiance and food scream authenticity. We had the garlic naan bread, which came with a yogurt sauce and spicy cilantro sauce; sambosas; the tandoori chicken wings; an Afghan salad consisting of cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions in a vinaigrette sauce; the Pamir special kabob; sauteed okra in a tomato-based sauce; various curries; and Afghan’s national dish(+1 point), the Qabeli Palau, which was basmati rice that had shaved carrots, raisins, and almonds paired with the lamb stew. They say save the best for last and what better way to end the evening than with baklava and Pamir’s most notable cherry blossom tea. I loved the cherry blossom tea’s fragrance and although I found it to be too sweet for my taste, it’s definitely something unique and worth trying! Thank you, John K., for putting this dinner together. I would also like to thank the owners for allowing us to dine in on a Monday evening(they’re normally closed on Mondays) and for allowing us to sample an array of Afghan food. Will definitely be back.

Thanks to the Hidden Gems Foodie Club, I had the opportunity to dine here with about 30 other food lovers this week as the owners were nice enough to open their doors and cook especially for us. At $ 30 a person, we were treated to a wonderful, filling nine course meal! I can’t say I’ve tried authentic Afghani food before, but this was a great way to sample all the different offerings, which were for the most part delicious. Each table shared plates of the following: Naan Bread & Sambosas, Tandoori Chicken Wings, Kabobs & Salad, Basmati Rice, Chicken Curry, Lamb Stew, Bamia Okra(the surprisingly delightful dish of the night for most). To finish, we had Baghlawa desserts and glasses of their popular Cherry Blossom Tea. Everyone was full and satisfied at the end of the evening, and I applaud the staff for getting all the food out to the tables in good time and for hosting the club’s first event. The service was great and the dining room atmosphere was so ambient. Pamir made many more fans, including myself and a couple of fellow Unilocalers I met for the first time in person. Looking forward to the next Hidden Gems Foodie Club dine. Check them on FB!
