We were there late on a weekday. It was well prepared but not very flavorful. I had a chicken sandwich. It was edible just not special.

Onion strings came out lukewarm. Asked for another order. They refried my order rather then giving me a fresh one. Greasy and overlooked… Lazy

If you are craving for a cheesy burger that satisfies, then this is the place. Very convenient location, modern atmosphere, tvs everywhere, good music and fun classic board games. You won’t be disappointed. Delicious food with a huge array of tasty sauces and creative spices to add. Go for the passion fruit ice tea, can’t get enough. My favorite, been there multi times — local for 7 yrs, is the double yeti with a big bag of crinkle fries. The shakes aren’t cheap, but theyre huge and so worth it especially when you compare it to your other options it’s unbeatable! Five Stars

This place has good burgers and fries and unique dipping sauces, but it’s overpriced. $ 20 is too much to pay for just a burger, fries and drink. I was turned off by all the fad nutrition rhetoric. They don’t grill or fry their burgers(they steam them, hence the name) because they say it’s bad for your health and the environment. But then they sell(fried) french fries all day long. Also, the soda fountain features drinks made with all natural organic cane sugar yada yada, with no high fructose corn syrup. Cue the eyeroll. Anyone with a modicum of nutritional science education knows that sugar is nearly identical to HFCS(i.e. about half glucose and half fructose), and research clearly shows the two produce identical health effects. So to summarize, give me my name brand soda, not some wannabe that relies on deceptive health buzz words to sell me sugared water like it’s superior to corn syrup. I came to get a burger, which this place does nicely IMO, but let’s just leave it at that, without a mouthful of marketing BS as well.

Expensive for a bland burger. Walking around Telluride, we stopped by Steamies, looked clean, not many people, wish I had checked the Unilocal reviews before eating here. 2 burgers and 2 fries totaled $ 30. Fries were decent, burgers had no taste. Next time I will check Unilocal first, lesson learned.

Neat atmosphere but the chicken sandwich wasn’t impressive. Definitely should have went with a burger.

The place is awesome, the location too! The wait today for food was 1 hour!!! There was only one cashier and one in the kitchen it is a bummer because the place could be great with a better service. The burgers are super small. The good thing is that when you are waits for your food they have board games:) Specially when you come with kids that helps Price high for what you get!!! Let’s give the guys a break, it was diner rush and it was a big line, but again they can fix this with more employees at this time!!!

If I could give it 3.5 I might versus 4 stars. Came here on a Sunday night with the kids. If you want something quick and casual this is the place. They have lots of board games which the kids loved. The prices are a little high but to be expected I guess for telluride. We did not have burgers… we had the clux, soup of the day, the Sonoma chicken sandwich and the turkey burger. We also got the cheese fries and sweet potato fries. All were good. My hubby really loves all the sauces they offer(self serve). One thing I didn’t like was the tip defaults(lowest being 18%, then 20% and 25%) for a place that you order at the counter and get the food yourself when it’s ready. They do serve beer and wine and lots of TVs if you want to watch sports.

Ordered the clux and the loaded fries, wife got steamie burger and shared my fries. The clux was 2 chicken tenders and a unripe slice of tomatoe and lettuce. Ordered chocolate shake as well. Served with shake running down all sides. Fries were previously frozen but ok. Wife liked burger. It had a cool atmosphere.

Stopped here on our last night in town when all other places seemed to require a reservation. I wasn’t feeling a burger so I opted for a salad and the Mac n cheese. Salad was ok– some pieces of lettuce were wilted. Mac was creamy but not the most flavorful. Mr. G had a burger and enjoyed it along with the sweet potato fries. I’d def go back to try a burger next time we’re in!

They are a burger bar, first and foremost, the burgers were not good. I had my doubts about steaming burgers from the beginning, burgers are meant to be grilled. They came out dry, not moist as advertised. Not a great concept. There was a misunderstanding about a half off special. They advertised half off all burgers, but apparently only if asked. We forgot to ask and did not get the discount. They refused to offer a free drink in exchange, only a half off coupon for the future. I will not be returning in the future, thanks.

I went for breakfast the first time and got the vegetarian option. It was okay, not great, but was cheap for telluride, and the bun, which I think is what they put all their sandwiches on, is fresh and delicious. I was much more satisfied, though, when I went back for the portabella sandwich,(not the one on a burger). I make portabella sandwiches for myself a lot at BBQ’s and other places I don’t want a burger and this one was maybe one notch down from the ones I marinate, but it was really good, nonetheless, and with the epic sauce station, you can mix it up so many ways. I also got blue cheese on it, which I guess they don’t keep much of around, but I asked and they delivered and it was excellent. To sum up, didn’t try too much of the menu, but if you only go once go for lunch or dinner.

Go for the shakes! The Salted Carmel shake was delish! The food is mediocre at best. And expensive. We ordered 2 hot dogs, 2 burgers, 2 sides, 5 drinks and 1 shake for $ 71! And they want 18% gratuity for a order & pick up your food at the counter joint?!? Burgers were bland. Fries were cheap, frozen crinkle cut! My hot dog was cold and my bun dry. Pretty blah.

1 star For the music — cheap frozen fries w cheese wiz, small bland burgers, under cooked Brussel sprouts — don’t go here! This place doesn’t deserve a spot in telluride !! If you want a killer burger go to floradora. Now that’s some good food!

We waited 30 minutes for 1 hot dog and 1 hamburger. The place had barely 3 tables full. Steamies is a hot steamy mess

The BEST burger place I have ever been to! They have an amazing seasoning bar as well. It is worth the stop. I had the chili Sunday and my daughter had the Yeti.

We tried this little gem on our last day of our trip. I wish it was the first day so I could of went everyday. I absolutely loved it! Steamed burgers? Who would of ever thought? I love finding places that serve my favorite foods and try to do it in a more healthy way and eco friendly. Not your typical burger joint. They really took some chances and I would say they have out done themselves. The owner is super chill and the Ambiance was great. It takes a bit longer to get your food because of the way it’s prepared but worth the wait. The sauce bar is amazing and so many neat concoctions. Blueberry ketchup? Don’t mind if I do! Not so healthy is the milk shakes but my oh my. Probably top 3 best milk shake I’ve ever had. A must try! I can not wait till January to go eat there again. It will be the first meal off the bus.

We stopped in for a gourmet burger and a milkshake and we were very happy that we did. The burgers, although not the ¾ lb ball of beef available at some gourmet burger places, were delicious. The sauces, especially the aoli and bacon mustard were very tasty and the steamed buns were moist and perfect. The décor is nice, the gourmet soda fountain was kids’ favorite. The service was friendly and fast. We will definitely come back.

I can only speak to the turkey burger, which was terrible. The thought of steaming a burger might be «hip» in some circles, and maybe it works with a beef burger, but when applied to turkey, it reminds me of elementary school lunch. It was bland, odd looking, and really hard to choke down. My co-worker tried a salad, which at $ 12 should have been a cornucopia sized feast. However, it was the size of a side salad. On the flip side, the location in downtown Telluride is great!
