We were in town and since I am always on a lookout for Halal places we tried them out. The place is clean. I tried their Chicken Teriyaki Sub and I have to say it tasted exactly like Ananas Café in Dearborn. Curly fries and the Fattoush salad was good also. If we are in town next time. We’ll probably try more things.

The restaurant does look a little outdated but overall the service is very good, the prices are very reasonable, The hummus with meat was a little salty, fresh fattoush and the Africano sub is amazing Overall a good experience.

I’ve been watching my friend post pics and talk about Peepo’s and finally made the trip today. Everything looked good and that was my first problem — what to try! So did the chicken shawarma and the chicken Africano, figuring I’d take home half of each. The sandwich was really good but the chicken Africano was crazy good. Spicy and delicious. Next time in, which should be soon, I’ll try the chicken Africano sub. If you’re curious, make the trip because it’s absolutely worth it.

I’d been wanting to check out this place for awhile, as I’m always happy to have another restaurant option downriver. I got the africano sub since that seemed to be the thing to try, and it was really good. Huge portion, spicy but not too spicy! Everybody was very friendly, and I love that the smoothies had kiwi in them. Definitely not your typical Middle Eastern food, but worth a try.

The Chicken Africano sub is worth the trip to Taylor.

This is one of those little hideaway joints that not many people have heard of but you will always go back again. Their service is VERY fast and their smoothies are VERY fresh and DELICIOUS! This is my go to place for shawarma

Stopped here while visiting from out of town and thought, how good could Middle Eastern food just outside of Detroit be? Pretty damn good, apparently. Big portions and everything tasted great. Manager(owner?) was friendly too.

Ok, been wanting to try this place for a while, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was let down. Food was only 2 – 3 stars @ best, but I added a star due to the the friendliness of the owner & staff. I ALWAYS strive to give the best rating possible to locally-owned businesses. However, the food was on the bland side, which I did not expect after reading the other reviews. I would not be opposed to going again if in the area, but definitely would not drive out of my way to go again. It’s worth a try, but don’t go expecting the STRONG taste of the Mediterranean?!

Peepo’s is hands-down the best restaurant in Taylor, perhaps even the downriver area. The first time I ever had their food was a bite of an Italian sub. It was so good that I ordered one for lunch the next day. I have yet to have a bad sandwich here, and the toasted sesame bread they use is seriously addicting. The chicken africano is unforgettable, and they recently began serving a falafel africano, my new favorite. I’ve also had the vegetarian sub, shrimp sub, super falafel pita, and chicken shawarma. All were delicious, but africano is where it’s at. They also make fantastic chicken fattoush salad and perfectly creamy hummus with lamb and toasted almonds. I also enjoy their dairy-free fruit smoothies, but I get them without honey because it’s a little too sweet for me. Everyone who works here is friendly and they’re engaging and kind to their customers on social media. You can tell the owners are truly passionate about food and are dedicated to making their customers happy. I mean, they fast during Ramadan and STILL cook for us 12 hours a day. That’s love. If you’re ever in the downriver area looking for something to eat that you won’t find anywhere else, Peepo’s is your spot.

When I came in I told the guys behind the counter it was my first time there. They were very friendly and then asked, if I liked spicy, of course I answered yes. Then the important question, do I have a big appetite tonight, I told them that I was hungry! They recommended the Africano Fries that I got with grilled chicken. The portion is huge, grilled chicken chopped up and topping fries, onions and green peppers all on top of pita bread. Not the spiciest thing that I’ve had but seasoned well. I did need a little extra ranch dressing over it since the grilled chicken was a little bit dry but easy to overlook since everything else was so good.

All I can say is wow what a find! Right next to the airport this hidden diamond brings you some great food for a great price and fast! I had everything Africano cause I love spice! Tastes like my wife’s chicken chilla-fry but even better now my wife can make a mean chilla-fry so this place has my heart! I loved you at first bite! Thanks guys for the best sandwich on this side of town!

Great little Middle Eastern sub/shawarma shop. Workers are super friendly and the Africano sub is very good and unique! It’s a humble little place in an unassuming strip mall but the food is top notch!

My first impression of this place was outstanding! Out of the park, home-run, touchdown, goal! The customer service was beyond stellar, and the food excelled in every area. From taste to portion size, from eye-catching appearance to mouth-watering scents, the food exceeds expectations! This is now my go-to place for lunch in the Taylor area. Go and eat here.

So bummed that I haven’t been here earlier! The chicken Africano sub is unlike any other sub I’ve had. Tender juicy chicken marinated in a spicy & smokey sauce, crisp lettuce, mayo, and some grilled veggies! The bread it’s grilled on is super soft with a perfect crunch! Loveeee this place! My boyfriend had the beef shawarma plate which was really good but 90% veggies/pickles 10% meat. You get a lot of stuff but not that much meat so he ate the other half of my sub and curly fries since he was still hungry :( I would totally recommend trying this place!

The place is mainly to go here. If you want to stay in and eat, get ready for plastic plates and forks, actually everything plastic. We ordered fattoush salad with chicken and Africano specialty with steak salad. Fattoush was pretty good, Africano average. They gave us pita that was completely cold. Not to mention we waited for the food over 20 min. They are pretty busy lunch hours I suppose, but they should try to be quicker for customers that are in the middle of work day. When asked to warm it up and a bit toasted they brought back pita that was completely hard and uneatable. I brought it back, a guy started arguing with me what toasted means, to his definition toasted should be hard… I could sense a bit of attitude since I complained. Few minutes later another guy brought me warmed up pita which was much better than the hard rock I had to try to eat lol Anyway, this place might be good for sandwiches and take out, but service and food we had was just average. Skip for me.

When a Dearborn boy drives 20 minutes out of his way for subs, you know the place is well worth it. There are plenty of choices within a mile of me where I can pick up a sub but none compare. You can definitely taste the difference here. You know it’s fresh and made to order. They greet you when you come in. They thank you when you leave. These guys are doing it right. Peepos if you see this, open up a second location closer to Dearborn! Please! We love you guys.

Can’t wait to get back here to enjoy a full meal. My daughter found them on Instagram, so we stopped in for fresh fruit smoothies. They were outstanding — delicious, nutritious, and beautiful! I had the Mangana, mango, banana, kiwi, and honey. She had the Tuttie Fruity, strawberry, mango, raspberry, banana, kiwi, and honey. Both had sliced kiwi and banana in the cup. I ordered a half dozen lamb grape leaves as well. They were fresh, moist and flavorful. Meats are halal. The menu includes salads, sandwiches, wraps, subs, burgers, and even Africano selections. We will definitely be back for more!

I found this little place based on Unilocal reviews that seemed pretty good. The place was a very busy for a Monday at 2:30PM so I figured it was going to be good. I ordered the chicken Africano sub and curly fries. That is their house specialty and I really enjoyed it. It’s a little bit spicy but not so much that it’s overwhelming. I will be back again. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area. They also have delivery.
