the team at citrus park mac is a great group people. with experenice and artistry skills… what makes a great staff… there is great camaraderie. so all the great customers we have is a joy… thank you to them… we have alot of fun… teaching techniques. as well… been there over 5 years… and have made many friends there. thank you.

I made an appt at Mac Citrus Park bc my normal makeup girl was booked. So, I thought the next best would be Mac. Bc Mac is supposed to be great, right?
Here we go… I chose the hour long application= 60 $ spend. This woman talked for 30 minutes before she would really start applying any makeup. She was trying to sell me all these products (i get that… I was paying for 60 $ worth of product for an hour application) BUT I expect AN HOUR long application. She talked so much that once she finally started doing my makeup she literally said «o no… What am i doing. I keep running my mouth and we are almost out of time and I haven’t even started. I better get started bc we cannot exceed that Hour…» So, she starts rushing to get my makeup on. I was pretty upset at this point bc I felt that I was not truly getting a full hour. Now, she gets to the lashes. I WAS NEVER GIVEN AN OPTION TO PICK OUT MY LASHES. SHE JUST PUT A PAIR ON THE TABLE WHEN I GOT THERE. I told her i wanted something more natural and I MADE THAT VERY CLEAR TO BOBBI SEVERAL TIMES. so, after I see the lashes, applied, i had to say something. They were HUGE drag queenesque lashes. I told her there is absolutely no way I am wearing these lashes that extend clear up to my eye brows and if she did not have something more suiting for a professional christmas party then dont put on any lashes at all. THAT WAS NOT THE LOOK I EVEN SORT A KINDA EXPLAINED TO HER. SHE JUST CLEARLY DID NOT CARE WHAT I WANTED AND DID WHAT SHE THOUGHT WOULD LOOK GOOD. So, she says «well those lashes are expensive so I need to tell my manager and see what she says…» The manager comes over to me and says «those are 30 $ a piece so You cant pick the wrong ones again or you are stuck with them» this really upset me bc I was never given an option to choose lashes. If I was I would not have chosen drag queen lashes. So, I tell the manager this and she kinda looks at bobbi awkwardly bc bobbi told her I picked them out… So she lied. Now, I get to pick my own lashes which I didn’t even know I was allowed to do at first. So i pick them out and we proceed. At this point she has very little time to do my makeup. So she gets the eye liner on and just puts some small brush strokes of foundation on. Spins me around and says your done!
My phone was dead or I would have taken a photo of this nightmare. No mascara on my lashes. She «forgot» to put foundation on my entire face. I asked her «bobbi… You did not put make up on my upper lip?» She squints as she looks at my face and says (this is good) «wow… My site is very bad. Im sorry. Youre right. I did not!» Then I continue to inspect. My eye liner looked like her hand was trembling the entire time she put it on bc the line was so thick and sloppy… But then again what would I expect from bobbi who just admitted she has poor eye sight. Lastly, the eye makeup was not even sub par. It was HORRIBLE. She kept saying how important it was to «blend»… Yet I had huge black smudged eye shadow all over my lids. No joke, I looked like MiMi from Drew Carey. So again I reiterate… I asked for natural and got the street walker look.
One of the girls in the store came up to me and said she could fix it. So she clearly agreed that I looked like a dam mess. I began to remove the makeup with wipes and told them I was sorry and I hate to be rude but I will never purchase another Mac item again bc I was always under the impression that Mac had some of the best makeup and artists around. The level of customer service was so awful that this company will never get business from me again. Theres plenty of Ulta’s and Sephora’s with the same stuff.
The best comment that Bobbi left me with and that I will leave you all with… «Your level of expectation is to high.» Ms. Bobbi, you are right. My expectation was high… As it should be at MAC or at the very least I would hope you could have cleanly and neatly applied basic makeup and I couldn’t even get that.
Im sure loosing my business is not game changing but if this is the product you provide all your customers with at Citrus then you might end up with a problem.

I love me some MAC makeup. In fact a little too much. I have way too much makeup, more than half of it I never use.
But when there is a special event, it gives me an excuse to visit the counter and have my makeup professionally applied.
Typically I leave the counter in complete awe of the transformation. This time, not so much. I had to instruct the artist to go a little bit heavy on my eyes. The work he initially did, wasn’t too different from my own skills. But that was an outlier, because I always leave the counter happy.
If you are planning on spending $ 50 on product, do yourself a favor and make an appointment to have your makeup professionally applied. It’s free with your $ 50 purchase.
