In the kitchen, creativity and reinvention always be a plus, and here in Iguana Cafée know how to do dishes very, very well.

Cute little coffee and sandwich shop near a college. The prices were standard. Service was a little on the slow side. I got a club sandwich but they were out of ham so they offered to double the turkey which I agreed to. A little skimpy on the chips, the act although sandwich was tastey enough but not a lot of meat. Pleasant outdoor seating on a nice day. It’s a nice little Shop to go to if you don’t want the hour wait at the others neary.

I love this place! I’ve been going here for years on my annual trip back«home» to visit, including my most recent trip one week ago. The Iguana has the best coffee in town, and Tahlequah has a few choices. They generally have 2 – 3 varieties to choose from, and the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever tasted(make sure you bring your appetite, it’s big). In addition, their blueberry muffin is to die for, best in the country. I usually special order a half dozen to bring with me when visiting my family. I’ve always loved the staff, no matter who is working or what time of day, they are always friendly and willing to chat. Definitely the place to go in town.

My favorite lunch spot in Tahlequah. The staff is amazing they always look like they’re having fun on the job. The food is delicious and their potato salad is the best in town!

Great coffee and espresso at The Iguana along with very positive service experience as well. Their breakfast offerings are good and they have very good sandwiches for lunch or dinner. Atmosphere is nice with plenty of magazines and board games for entertainment.

Full of the local gestalt and small college vibe, down the street from Cherokee museums and art galleries, and next door to the studio of the town’s famed artist, Murv Jacob, whose art is showcased in this kitschy two-story café. Get a local craft beer, the daily iced tea, and any sandwich wrap with the hots — a delicious avocado and jalapeño spread. Get extra hots on the side, if you try another sandwich.

The Iguana Café is a bright star in the small town of Tahlequah. I was impressed with their whole bean coffee and their knowledge of their different offerings. The food was definitely better than typical coffee shop food, and the customer service was above average as well. Enjoy the views of Main Street from the 2nd level if you find yourself in this small town gem.

On a hot summer day be sure to come in the morning. Great bagels and I love their Italian sodas. The staff is great, very attentive to listening to how you order. If you are an art lover, there are several pieces of art on display and even some for sale. It really is a unique place and community friendly.(Especially being next to the local college Northeastern State University, which has a beautiful campus, for an after breakfast or after lunch walk.) If you are a local in Tahlequah, or just visiting from another city in Oklahoma, this place has a menu that everyone can find something on to satisfy their cravings. So stop in to the Iguana and tell the staff hi, and throw in a «I appreciate all you do», I bet it will make their day.

Every time I visit family in Tahlequah, we always eat here. If you are coming in from out of town, this is a great location to meet people. It is right off the main road, and it is also incredibly close to the NSU campus. Also, if you get lost, everyone in town knows where the Iguana is, so you can always find it. This place has a truly fantastic vibe. Filled with southwest memorabilia, the Iguana offers a groovy place to unwind with a fantastic sandwich and coffee drink. They are also one of the only places to still stock Sobe in their fridge! Also, the seating is incredible. There is plenty of space in the sun-filled interior of the ground floor. There is also a second level for seating as well as outdoor seating. There is also a little park area almost right across the street from the place, so you can get out and stretch your legs. another bonus to the location if you are coming in from out of town. This is really a great place to stop and catch your breath, eat some yummies, and relax. Also, this is a great place to study. But seriously, they have Sobe!

Iguana is a nice little hipster café. It’s located just off the college campus and right next to a bike shop so it’s located perfectly for such a business. If you want a coffee or a lighter lunch this is an okay stop.

Whenever my husband & I think of the Iguana a flood of great memories come to mind. For a period we found ourselves leaving in the ‘Quah & cannot say enough about this place! The meals are prepped on the spot, the service is friendly, & this place remains clean even with it’s popularity. I really appreciate that when you order a salad or a sandwich the veggies are fresh, not white, colorless, & limp, but fresh. Plus, their potatoes salad is to die for! I am in California & I would love to get me some of that! This is one of the best café’s in town, hands down.

the coffe & tea is better than average, and probably the best in town, but not the best ever. The food is really really really good though. You must stop in and grab a sandwich for lunch. The atmosphere is great too, and sometimes they have live bands.
