I ordered the beach club and it was boring at best. If I happened to get a bite with avocado, then I actually came across a bit of flavor. Frustrated, I went to the counter to ask for some oil and vinegar because the French bread was also too much to choke down. They looked at me like I was crazy. Apparently you have to be an experienced JJ sandwich customer because I didn’t notice the freebies on the board OR that I had a different bread option. The guy that took the order made no mention of these. This was only my 2nd time at JJ(the 1st was 2 years ago). I remember being underwhelmed that time too but I thought I would give them another try. I won’t be doing that again unless I have no other options.

The sandwich was good as normal, but they did not the bring chips or drink I ordered and instead of doing something about it they said sorry and left! Not even any napkins with it… Disappointed as I am a regular customer!

I’ve been here a couple of times and while their subs are nothing extraordinary special they have always been very fresh and fast. My personal favorite it the turkey tom with oregano. Today while being a bit lazy and hungry while studying I ordered delivery and I was on the third floor of the GWP building here at UW Tacoma and no kidding they had my sandwich and chips here in less than ten minutes I was so impressed! But now I have an incentive to be even more lazy since I can just have a sandwich delivered at any time!

There is only a few places to eat down here so at lunch time the 3 – 4 restaurants are busy and Jimmy John’s is the only place that is fast. Fast and friendly is a major benefit during lunch time when I only have 20 minutes before my next class.(If you didn’t know the UW Tacoma campus occupies all the buildings above and around this part of town). The service aside Jimmy John’s is nothing special and tastes like any sandwich you would make at home or buy from any grocery store deli. It’s bread, meat, cheese, and maybe a few veggies. It’s not bad, it’s just really average.

Im not a huge fan of jimmy johns sandwiches… they are good but nothing that special compared to any deli around. But this locations service is amazing! Ive never had food served that quick before. In about 10 minutes we had our food that we ordered from our work. Orders have never been wrong… except one time my co worker order an extra cup of ice and they instead brought a cup of ice water… but other than that, right everything. Delivery guys are great. If I ever want a quick sandwich I will call these guys again.

I would give zero stars if I could. They’ve delivered here before with no issue. They’ve delivered to the business that we share a parking lot with, with no issue. I call and place an order, pay via credit card and 30 minutes later I get a call saying that we are out of the delivery area. Their excuse was«yeah, well sometimes we can do it if there’s not much traffic». Then how about you let me know when I order. Thanks a lot.

I don’t normally bother to review fast food/chains, but since most JJ’s have chosen to remove alfalfa sprouts from their sandwich options, I feel this one deserves recognition for keeping them! They are ESSENTIAL to the vegetarian sandwich and to just remove them… a cardinal sin, in my book. I recommend adding the«freebies».namely cucumbers, onions and HOTPEPPERS… don’t forget the oregano to give that typically bland sandwich more flavor. Sometimes the vinegar and oil are nice, when you’re feeling zippy. This location also has very cool bathrooms… I’ll leave that for you to discover. And it’s nice to have it there when the Harmon and Indochine are full of Tacoma Dome go’ers, and it’s impossible to get a seat.

Jimmy john’s has been my sandwich choice for years.(I’m from Minnesota.) The French bread, although white, has a lovely flavor and great crisp on the outside soft in the inside texture. I order the #6. It’s a veggie sandwich that has provolone and delicious avocado spread in place of meat. It is layered with tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers and sprouts when available. And mayo. They have the sandwich with turkey as the #12 if you like meat. The veggies have always been fresh and tasty. This location is consistently good. The interior was clean, staff was nice, and our orders were Quick. I find that ordering in store is best. Delivery can lead to soggy sammies and missed items. That’s life, though. Pretty fair pricing for decent, satisfying sandwiches. The portions are good for a hungry adult.

Eek! Methinks not… is right. I know I’m totally late on this whole hype about Jimmy John’s since it first opened up in WA but… I finally tried it and for Pete’s sake… [whoever Pete may be] it was HORRIFYING. I mean maybe… if I tried to other red meat options it could be a tad bit better? I tried the Tuna sandwich because I am avoiding red meats for the time being. There is barely any ‘good’ options for vegetarians or vegans nonetheless. Being at school during the week, I see students with either bags of subway, JJ’s, or other fast food baggies. I, myself try to stay away from fast food joints and good thing I do. I was having a bad day and I wanted to see what JJ’s was all about. Yea, the service was pretty bad… it was packed… and they didn’t even take down my name. What if… I got the wrong order? I kind of wish I did… It was bad. Never again. All I saw was pieces of boring bread, a bunch of plain iceberg lettuce, and a few tomatoes. Where was my tuna at? OH! By the way, I told the guy I dislike celery and he said there was no way to make the tuna without celery right? Which originally would steer me away from the option but guess what the guy told me? «I don’t like celery either but you can barely notice/taste it». I was like alright, since I’m already here, I will try it… Worst $ 6 of my life. I could taste and SMELL the celery… I tried to not look at it and pick from the tuna… but I couldn’t help myself and the celery was huge… blegh. I hated my guts for even scarfing the thing down because I had no other choice till I went to work after class.

Great sandwiches, great location, and spacious. My place to chill and eat during the day. Sandwiches are cranked out fast if you’re in a hurry.

Order online and it’s right every time. Good sandwiches delivered freaky fast. I do think online is key to avoid the confusion and lost details in store. I’m a converted fan!

Jimmy John’s in Tacoma brings«Freaky Fast» to a new level! Literally 12 minutes to deliver a #5 Vito to the hotel Murano! Delicious!

Big fan of Jimmy John’s in general. However, I walk in today at noon to get a sandwhich, and I was told it would be «6 minutes» until the guy could get to me. «Freaky Fast» what… Only one guy in there running the whole shop. Can’t be freaky fast with one person, whose fault is it, not his. I like the food and the environment but a line to the door with only one guy working won’t cut it.

Jimmy johns is a great spot to grab a sub. We order from them many times a month online and the sandwiches are delivered very quickly. The staff is very friendly and happy to bring us a sandwich. Thank you Jimmy johns for the amazing sandwiches.

There’s a reason this particular Jimmy John’s has BAD reviews!!! I called to order some sandwiches not really knowing the menu. The manager, not an employee mind you, but the manager seemed very«put out» that he had to help me decide which option from their menu best matched my desires. He was very insulting, brusk, and clipped… I couldn’t deal with him, so I passed the phone to my wife to whom he was also rude. I also ordered a 2liter of soda… which apparently they don’t sell — because when the extraordinarily sweaty delivery boy arrived… he thrust a 16oz pop into my hand, which had been sloshing around in his moldy bag for a couple miles and was quite disgusting. The sandwiches were mediocre… as usual. There’s another Jimmy John’s near this one… I would certainly say — go with the other if your desperate for a sub-par sandwich. Oh, and as I write this I’m being told that they forgot one of our sandwiches… perfect.

I guess pretty much all Jimmy Johns are the same– I dont personally get why people like this place, I find the sandwich’s very bland and over priced.(The only sauce available as far as I know, is Mayonnaise and a packet of yellow mustard) The service I thought was very slow as well, took 15 minutes to make the sandwich and there was only 1 person in front of me! So Wont be coming back here that is for sure! And I sure would not recommend eating here– STAYAWAY unless you like bland and overpriced sandwich’s!

Nice new Jimmy Johns location right downtown Tacoma next to the UW Tacoma campus. This place wont have your toasted subs or any fancy sides but it’s definitely the place to go if you want a good cold sub and fast. The only downside I thought was weird about Jimmy Johns is they take out the center of the bread and just throw it away. I’m surprised someone hasn’t came up with something they could do with that to be able to reuse it or sell it as bread sticks or something.
