Very good but hard to find. Inside Museum of Glass. Menu was limited.

It’s the only place to eat inside the museum of glass. It’s sort of like a Panera. They have a decent selection of sandwiches and soups, but they just don’t look as filling or fresh as Panera. I got the mahi mahi quinoa bowl, which was a pretty surprising option, and it was pretty solid, but a pretty small portion for what I paid for! The biggest thing about this place is that the air circulation is really poor. The space is so small, and as they cooked more and more, the air quality got worse and worse. They need to add a fan or something. If you’re stuck in the museum and need some food, this might seem like your only choice, but you can definitely pass and go somewhere else near the museum

For a café in the museum, the food quality is quite impressive. Let me be honest, when we decided to have lunch at this café, the only reason was because of convenience. The café was right inside the museum. For the price and food quality, we did not expected much because we had too much so-so experience for the food in the museum or amusement park. Usually you have to spend more and enjoy less. But for this one, the food is such a pleasant surprise. The menu board on the wall looks normal, sandwich, salad, soup… just ordinary café menu. However, the food is really good. My family’s standard for the salad is pretty high. The green in the salad has to be fresh, crunchy and no black stains, while the chicken has to be moisten and tender. Honestly most restaurant’s salad does not meet this standard. So it was quite a pleasant surprise to see the salad here is so fresh and so well made. The vegetable leaves are fresh and crunchy, the tomato is firm and juicy, and the chicken meat is soft and tender. The garlic bread comes with the salad is freshly made too. The butternut squash bisque is amazing as well. It’s large portioned with distinguished sweet taste of fresh butternut squash. At winter time it’s quite a hearty dish. The environment is bright and clean. The service is kind of slow but it’s OK since the dish is extraordinary.

I’ve always wanted to try this place since Choripan and parrillas asado were the only two dishes that I liked living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was quite tricky getting to the Museum(located inside the Museum of Glass building, admission not required). But it was worth the hassle. I had a CHORIPANSANDWICH with NOODLESALAD as a side(I think adding the side is best value). Choripan wasn’t what I expected(I was expecting just a hot dog bun and sausage with chimichurri sauce). There were many ingredients and was very filling. The salad was good too. It is not cheap but you gotta anticipate higher than average price for its touristy location. Oh yeah, you got to enjoy the pretty river(?)walk while you are there. So give some enough parking time.

Excellent food at Choripan! Our server Cassie made excellent menu recommendations and helped us order. She really made sure we had a great lunch. We had mahi mahi sandwiches, butternut squash soup and salad. This restaurant is in the glass museum but is a worthwhile destination in its own right. Looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend.

AMAZINFOOD. Super yummy and cheap for the good quality! Very nice waitress and conveniently inside the museum of glass! Admission is free on Sunday for college students and drinks can be brought into the hot shop, so you can drink and watch glass blowing all at once. Highly recommend the chicken quinoa bowl, butternut squash soup and Christmas ale!

Choripan by Asado is the café located in the Glass museum. It is the first museum café that I would actually go back and visit just to eat here. The salads were amazing. Fresh, crisp, cooked to order, and full of flavor. You walk up to the counter, place your order, and then take a seat. The food will be delivered to your table once it is ready. The menu has several set plate options, but also a flexible create your own bowl, sandwich or salad option. I loved the flexibility this offered. You can pick any protein, dressing, and then the bedding for your protein to rest on(sandwich, salad, or Quinoa bowl). The price depends on the style you select. They also served a delicious espresso here. The coffee beans are roasted by Bluebeard Coffee roasters. For beverages, they do also offer wine and beer options.

Quinoa bowl is the best in town! I’ve had the Pork and Chicken and both were amazing! The only thing I recommend is calling in your order ahead of time. It can take a while if it’s lunch rush time. You can get it to go and sit by the water or sit outside on the tables during the summer. I haven’t found any other place in Tacoma that makes a quinoa bowl quite like this. Delish! I go here as much as I can during the week. We’ve tried to get take out here during the weekends when we are nearby however, it’s not a guarantee that they will pick up the phone.

The Asado chain has a presence on the waterfront at The Glass Museum. I like Asado overall and thought the sister restaurant would deliver similar flavor and quality. I’ve given this place a try a few times now and I’m just not overly impressed. The idea is to choose your protein like chicken, steak or tofu and put it with a bowl of quinoa, salad, or sandwich. They just changed the menu and the popular braised pork is no longer on the menu. That’s unfortunate because that seemed to be the best dish. Argentinian food is supposed to be full of robust flavor and great sauces. Unfortunately the flavor I had with the buttermilk marinated chicken bowl didn’t live up to my expectations. the chicken was cooked well, but lacked seasoning. They are basically only open for lunch, but their portion size is a bit small. If you have a big appetite, you’ll be disappointed and hungry a few hours later. Prices are proportionate to the location. Service can be slow especially if they are busy. But I’ve found it to be slow every time I dined there.

Chicken Yakisoba Salad is to die for, don’t hesitate just order it if you have a yen for a salad. I didn’t even know what I was ordering, another customer was being served with it and I said«I’ll have that». Party of the ingredients were buttermilk marinated chicken breast, jicama, cilantro, toasted almonds and pineapple and of course soy noodles. I had been yo the Glass Museum and never expected the adjoining restaurant to be so spectacular.

We used to love this place, but our last few visits have been less than acceptable. The food preparation is very slow and the quality of the food has slipped significantly. We brought two friends on our last visit. We were the only patrons in the place. We placed our order, sat and waited and waited for our food. After waiting 25 minutes, my wife went to ask about our food order. The woman at the counter said that they only had one cook(how many cooks does it take to prepare a bowl of soup and 3 sandwiches?). When the food arrived, I found the chicken in my sandwich to be burned on the outside and dry in the inside, my wife’s sandwich ditto. Our friend’s soup was so thick the spoon stayed upright with no additional support.

This place is great! Everything is delicious and you don’t need to attend the museum to eat here. The only thing that isn’t quite great is the empanadas, but other than that everything is delicious and at a great price for the quality. Friendly staff, nice view, great lunch spot.

Basheer makes the best steak sandwich! i personally hate Tacoma & never come here, but I’ll definitely come again just for this sandwich & his amazing customer service. Oh, & his taste in music in the background was what made the 5th star definite.

Friendly staff; delicious sandwich. Need I say more? Okay, I will. I got the club w/hummus and chips for $ 10.75. The sandwich was quality, so I feel like the price is reasonable – especially for a museum. You don’t even have to buy admission to the museum($ 12) to eat here. If you do buy admission, you are allowed to take into the glass blowing demonstration stadium but not into the galleries. Water(free) was lemon-infused and perfectly refreshing. Great experience. I’ll come back any time we visit the glass museum in the future.

This is a place that you might miss by just walking by since it blends in with the museum but the food is definitely worth the stop. I had a blt with the lentil salad which both tasted awesome. The blt had a mayonnaise/mustard sauce on it instead of just mayonnaise. It was $ 10.50. The only downside was most of the outdoor tables were full of people’s food sitting on it that hadn’t been cleaned up yet.

This place is awesome, you don’t have to actually go into the glass museum to dine here, although I’d highly suggest that you do. I had problems at first trying to find out if this was in the museum to where you’d have to go through the museum to get here or not, and the phone number associated with this business does not ring through to the restaurant, I know that other people have questions, like the best place to park, or even the question I had of having to pay museum admission or not, so they really need a direct line to help customers be more knowledgeable of how this place works. I think that it would bump their business up a lot. I ordered this open faced chicken and cream sauce sandwich, and it was awesome, a fork and knife type sandwich, loved it, wonderful flavors, and combination. The service was friendly, a place that I’d love to spend the afternoon at; it’s very modern, and they have items for sale to help support Hill Top Artists, and it’s still fairly comfortable, it’s just a win win all around. I will definitely be back!
