Great stop if you like fatty BBQ — we had 4 different sandwiches and all had excessive un-rendered fat. This new location is not up to the usually high standards of the home locations in Alabama.

Terrible service food was just ok. Waiter was terrible. Joy killer. 25 dollars for a steak… Really, come one… I am not cheap but come on…

Better than your average bbq joint. Good sides and ribs. Go here because it’s close by. 3 ½ star. Good food but little overpriced

This location just keeps getting worse. If you’re lucky you’ll get there in the sweet spot when they’re not reusing morning leftovers that are cold and dry. Always a disappointment with this location. If you like the quality of a hot Jim and Nicks meal don’t bother with this location.

Jim n Nicks is slightly pricy for BBQ but not unreasonable. My fave options there are the brisket plate, pecan pie, and peach sweet tea. Their cheesy biscuit muffins are really good. I’ve tried their Carolina pull pork, regular pull pork, and fried catfish too. Those are okay, but I think it’s more if that’s the type of thing that tickles your fancy. I like the fact that there is a drive-thru so I don’t have to go in or wait forever for my food. But the food is always prepared then so you do have to wait a little bit. I’ve gone inside on my lunch break and was in and out within an hour. It’s really not as packed as one would imagine.

If you want delicious home cooked smoked meat and sides this is your place! As a good country Mississippi girl I was a little skeptical when I ordered. I was seated very quickly and my waiter Nick came over immediately and took my drink order. He bought these delicious complimentary cheese biscuits. They were delicious. I ordered the brisket sandwich with fries and macaroni & cheese. Everything is made from scratch! The portions are large and that meat was full of flavor!!! The Mac & Cheese was creamy. I was so full I didn’t have room for dessert but I want to try the banana pudding when I return… yes I will be back. I plan to bring my family when they visit next month the restaurant is spacious and can accommodate large crowds and did I mention it’s only about 10 minutes from my house #winning! The prices are good and they even offer family packs!!! You can actually smell the meat smoking when you pull up. They also have a full bar. I was very pleased with my meal as well as the service!!!

Okay. I don’t normally write reviews if I’ve only tried«1» thing on their menu and as drive-thru at that. Therefore, I will warn everyone my 4 star rating is based on my trips through their drive-thru for their CHEESEBISCUITS!!! lol. My sister wanted to swing by here for cheese biscuits and I thought… What?! You are crazy. But sure~ We will go. OMG! Why are they so good? haha. I am so thankful I do not drive to Suwanee very often or I would struggle trying to stay in shape! Seriously, if you plan on eating at Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q or happen to be driving by… Order them. They come out nice and hot and fill your tum tums with yum yums. Okay… That just sounded ridiculous and stupid. Review to be updated when I go back to try the rest of their menu.

This is probably my favorite restaurant right now. The food is excellent. The corn muffins are great. The pulled pork is amazing. Portions are on point. Sauces are great. The thing I love most about Jim n’ Nick’s is their attention to the level of service. You can tell it is important to them that your experience should be great. I love eating here.

Complimentary cheese biscuits more like cheese muffins melts in your mouth!!! Combo beef brisket and classic pulled pork with mash potatoes & coleslaw had a good portion for two. They charge $ 1 xtra for beef brisket so this combo was $ 19. Will definitely go back for lunch again.

Decided to stop by the drive-thru on a Sunday afternoon since my little brothers were craving BBQ. I ordered the family size baby back ribs with the mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. The cheese biscuits were complimentary. I also ordered the onion rings. I seriously donot recommend these. It was a mix of BK& Sonic’s onion rings. The ribs were dry. The BBQ sauce was a bit too watery for me. The mash potatoes and mac & cheese were bland. The only part of the meal I really enjoyed was the cheese biscuits. Those were absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back for those.

My first time here and it was excellent! I had the pulled pork, beef brisket, Mac n cheese and beans. The mac n cheese and beans r the best I’ve ever had. And their sauce is amazing! The customer service was great. Walked right in and got seated right away. Someone came right over to take our drink order. Really wish I had room for dessert but the meal had so much food, I was stuffed!!! Definitely would come back here again!!!

Had these guys cater lunch for 180+ people over the course of two days. They were spot on, with every detail covered, plenty of servers(all friendly), plenty of food, plenty of napkins and plenty of banana pudding. These guys even helped clean up the dirty dishes and empty the trash cans. I’m from Texas and their brisket is on par with anything you’ll find out there. Everyone said it was some of the best BBQ they’ve ever tasted. We had so much food left over that the local Fire Department benefited each afternoon. Oh yeah order the Mac-N-Cheese you’ll be amazed!

OMGTHECHEESYBISCUITSGIVEMELIFE!!! I can definitely eat 30+ of them and I always ask for another basket of them before I leave so I can pack them to go. The sausage links are also bomb!!! However, I do think the quality of service in this specific location has gotten worse. We waited way too long for a waiter to come take our orders and they all had a bad attitude.

This was my first time at a Jim ‘N Nick’s and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my meal! The customer service here is awesome. We were a little worried initially because we had been waiting ungreeted for a while after we were seated. Eventually a server noticed us and seemed genuinely concerned when she asked if we had been waiting a while. I don’t think she was our assigned server, but she took great care of us. The manager even came by and apologized for our wait and offered us a free appetizer! We declined, but that was a very nice gesture! Everything went smoothy for the rest of our visit. They bring you a basket of free cheesy cornbread roll/muffin things to start off, which tasted fine. I ordered the Quarter Chicken($ 10). It comes with a smoked thigh and leg, two«trimmings», and is served with Morgan County white sauce. You can substitute the thigh and leg for a wing & breast for $ 1 if you like. The chicken was flavorful and tender. I chose mac n cheese & mashed potatoes and gravy as my trimmings. I really liked their mac n cheese. Very yummy and cheesy! The mashed potatoes and gravy were also great. The white sauce had an interesting flavor, very tangy. I didn’t care much for it, but I liked the bbq sauce they keep on all the tables!

Jim ‘N Nicks’ Bar-B-Q in Suwanee will surprise you with its consistent great dining experience thanks to their amazing food, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere. As someone who is always skeptical of franchised restaurants(especially when it comes to Southern BBQ), I personally had believed Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q was overrated until I finally visited. Walking in the restaurant, you get a whiff of smoked pork, BBQ sauce, and a certain«farm» smell that triggers your nostalgia of Sothern Cooking. Once you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by friendly waiters and host all dressed in flannel who are full of that Southern hospitality feel. Moving on to the food, you are presented with a mix of traditional and original bbq dishes that ranges from $ 10 -$ 25 on average. My favorites has always been the Classic Spare Ribs(1 lb $ 13.00) and Baby Back Ribs(little baby $ 13.00) both of which comes with two trimmings(sides). Before your entrees are served, you are first treated to the free unlimited servings of heavenly cheese biscuits. The dishes that are served here are always of consistent great quality in terms of the meat, cook, and bbq sauce. I say this from having tried each of my menu choices here at least twice. Personally, other dishes such as burgers, briskets, and sausages are good, but nothing tops the ribs when it comes to bbq. These bbq dishes are not the best I have ever had, but they are pretty darn close when it comes to taste. The dining experience is only enhanced by the friendly staff who make conversation with you and genuinely seems like they enjoy working here. I had the chance to be greeted by the manager once, and it truly looked as though the place ran like a family business where the employees and customers are cared for. Having been to its other locations in Cumming and Smyrna, I know that the great dining experience is shared through the whole franchise. I am certainly a fan of Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q, and I am looking forward to my next visit. A solid 4.5÷5 for its consistent quality/service/atmosphere; it’s still not the best BBQ restaurant I’ve ever been.

If you haven’t ever been to Jim ‘N Nick’s, right off the rip they bring you these little cheese biscuits. Don’t be fooled — these little guys are about 125 calories each. OMG, did I say that out loud? Okay, I promise I won’t mention nutritional information anymore. You can go to for that but it will ruin a perfectly fine meal. On a brighter note, Melanie started ordering the Smoked Chicken a long time ago and when I began eating lighter earlier this year, I followed suit. We both ordered the Smoked Chicken and salads for starters. For a side, I got the mashed potatoes and gravy while Melanie chose the Macaroni & Cheese. We also got a pound of ribs to share. The food was great and the service was excellent. That being said, they really stepped on their own feet when they brought the meal out before the salads. Melanie sent hers back but the salads followed quickly and I was happy. We’ve never been disappointed with the salads. The salad has a nice mix and the dressing are always rich and full of flavor, not watery or tasteless like some restaurants. The entrée salads are huge and make an excellent healthy dining choice. Let me tell you something about this Smoked Chicken. It’s probably the best ever we’ve had anywhere. You can order it on-the-bone or off-the-bone. We always order on-the-bone because we believe you get more meat that way. There is no battle in getting to the meat, it falls right off the bone. The Smoked Chicken come with something they call Morgan County White Sauce. While it’s too spicy for Melanie, its got just the right amount of kick for me but on this night I hardly used it because the meat was so tender, juicy and flavorful it really wasn’t needed. I wish I could say the same about the ribs, but we haven’t seen the same level of consistency with the ribs. Theoretically, it should be the same. The meat should be tender and juicy and should fall right off and leave a clean bone. If you find yourself knawing at the bone, the ribs have not been prepared properly. Sadly, it’s hit or miss and I’ve just avoided ordering the ribs at Jim ‘N Nick’s for this reason. On this night however, Melanie insisted and they were about a B+. The meat fell cleanly off the bone, but there were parts of the outer portions of the meat that were as tough as beef jerky. We’re big fans of Jim ‘N Nick’s and visiting the Suwanee location was not a disappointment. We found great food and our server was spot-on in every request. If you’re OTP on the north side and in search of some awesome BBQ, stop in at Jim N’ Nick’s right off of I-85 and get a belly full. Guten appetit!

This place is okay. Honestly if you want some real BBQ, I would venture deeper into Atlanta as they have a few mom and pop BBQ joints(Fat Matts for example) that would just blow this place away. Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q feels more like a franchise steakhouse similar to a Chili’s or Outback. As the name suggest its known for BBQ which could be a lot better. I had the ribs while I was here and any real BBQ eater would know that if it doesn’t slide off the bone then it hasn’t been prepared properly. Not saying it was bad but it could have been better. This place is convenient if you’re just looking for a BBQ place that in the suburbs. My Recommendations: –The mac n cheese Menu:

Decent food and atmosphere! The service here is what stands out. Everyone here is so kind and prompt. I don’t usually lead with that comment, but genuinely great service is pretty hard to find these days. I grew up in NC, so I’m very much a fan of BBQ. The corn muffins that you get when you dine in at soooo delicious. They are cute and little, bite size almost so yes that makes them dangerous! If you dip it in the jalapeño BBQ on the table, it is even better! I ordered the original Pig in a Bun and cole slaw. my husband got the ribs with mac n cheese and baked beans. All three of the sides were well seasoned snd delicious, no complaints there. The BBQ needed the sauce on the table, but it was very tasty with that. I do like that their BBQ sauces are not overly molasses sweet. The ribs looked good, not quite as fall-of-the-bone as I like, but my husband enjoyed them. Overall, a place I know I will be a regular at!
