This review is not about the food the food is okay but today I came into Dillards went to the drive through their credit card machine was down so said the sign in the window I hardly ever have cash on me so I started to drive away. A man come running out saying how can I help you I told him I had no cash he explained his credit card machine was down and was messing up his business all day but told me to pull back around to the window he would help me out. I ordered pork, collard greens and a Coke the guy bagged up my food told me it was $ 14 Did I find any money I said no just as he was about to comp my food order I looked under my floormat and found a $ 20 bill I had stashed and forgot about I gave him the 20 and told him to keep the change what goes around comes around in this world thank you for doing the right thing.

Worst excuse for BBQ I have ever seen. Flavorless, over priced, and biscuits aren’t even good. Go north about 2 minutes to Praise the Lard.

The sign as you pull up says«under new management» and this is a good thing for Dillards. We ate here a few years back and were not impressed, and even though it’s just a few short miles down the road, we didn’t go back. We’ve been past here a few times recently and thought we should try it out again, and we are so glad we did! They were out of beef, but we tried chicken, pork ribs, and pulled pork; all three were good. The pork had a great hickory smoked flavor and the chicken was moist. I found a small spot of gristle in the chicken, but it was still good. The ribs were full spares and had good flavor and tenderness. I could have done with a little less sauce on them, but it was easy to scrape some of it off to eat. The potato salad was delicious as was the fried okra. We will definitely come back here again.

The ribs and pork are allegedly the best things on the menu, but the pork was fatty, full of gristle, and the ribs were just ok. Service was glacially slow, but at least the one poor employee who had to service the entire restaurant was nice. We’ve been here twice in one visit — our first and last times.

I purchased the Dillard’s BBQ deal in Suwanee, GA in Living Social. I went to the establishment to redeem the deal. Me and my guest noticed an odor as we walked into the restaurant. We were handed a menu to look at the take-out order selection. We were the only patrons in the restaurant on Friday evening, October 4, 2013, around 7:30PM. As we were looking at the menu selections, we noticed a rat run through the kitchen!!! We immediately called over the young female employee to let her know and she did not react or seem surprised. We left the facility and I requested a refund. This was horrible.

Someone mentioned this place to me and despite the low rated reviews I wanted to give it a try. Overall, the ribs were good, some parts of the meat not as tender as the others. But they were seasoned and covered in sauce. The potato salad was creamy like whipped potatoes and the fried okra was good also. I would not say the young lady there is rude. But she just came across as direct. Three stars, the ribs were good, but not the worst I have tasted.

The time for the food took forever. I grew up half my life in georgia and the other half in northcarolina. Everything here justtasted old, and the prices are too high. I just wanted to support our local resturants and they have just goten poor with how they care. The Brunswich Stew wasnt good at all and the ribs were dry as all outside. But their is anew BBQ place also in the buford/suwanee area call Praise the Lard BBQ its off of buford highway also. it is so good and the prices are just right and everthing is fresh. Go check it out.

We were looking for BBQ places that might cater our reception, this won’t be the place: Sauce was poor and the ribs tasted reheated or boiled, no smokey tender meat here. Tried the pulled beef sandwich it tasted a lot like a school lunch… Not recommended.

Biscuits tasted good, but thats it. My server was no good, maybe… no refill or offer, he would stand in front of me and not say anything. No good morning, nothing. The other server rolled her eyes when another customer asked to order. The skillet was full of dried eggs. Atleast waffle house cleans their skillet top after they use it. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit and a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. The sausage on the SEC was about half the size of the biscuit and the biscuit wasn’t large like many biscuits from other places in the area. After eating, i had to wait 15 minutes before recieving my check. The restaurant wasn’t busy, only three customers. I sat at the counter so it was hard to see that I was finished eating. Oh, my drink was empty since the time they gave me my food.

I would give another star if they can consistently provide the same quality of food. The last time I ate there I was really embarrassed. Because I recommended it to someone and the food was awful. A few months prior I went thru the drive-thru and I enjoyed my meal. Out of five visits three were good. Maybe that’s what happened when they added another location which is currently Rico’s.

Stopped by one saturday on the way into work. Was just dying for a chicken biscuit or any kind of meat on a good southern biscuit. I came in and sat at the counter for about 10 or 15 minutes without the girl who glanced at me from time to time as she walked by ever asking me if I wanted anything. After about 15 or 20 min. the girl said out of the side of her mouth without even looking at me and I quote ‘…if you are wanting a biscuit they aint gonna be ready for about 20 minutes.” I left and will never go back

What can I say? We saw this place as we drove by, turned around came back to try it. Sat at the bar for about 15 minutes without anyone even noticing us, despite only being one other couple in the place. So, we left. Didn’t even get to taste it.

I have been going to this place for dinner infrequently over the past 10 years. As others have said, it is hit or miss. I went recently because I wanted some bbq and my other choices in the vicinty are Jim n’ Nicks(meh and overpriced, methinks) and Spiced Right(meh, overpriced and I don’t like those open bottles they have on the tables). It saddens me because this could be a great place and I met Mr. Dillard once and he seems super sweet. I love the dive-ish atmosphere and the location is a business owner’s dream. I really don’t get why there isn’t more effort in service and consistent food quality put into this place. Surely the owner must notice that on weekend evenings this is the only restaurant in Suwanee Town Center that isn’t busy. Others have complained about the service. The service to me seems sort of lackluster in that they don’t really seem too bothered that you showed up. They also close early on weekends(8 or 9-ish). If someone took over the place and really gave it a go, it could be great. Someone needs to see if that BBQ guy at the gas station in Lilburn wants to take this place over! I have never tried their breakfast. But I have been taking my kid to day camp around the corner from the place and it doesn’t seem busy in the mornings either.

Now, imagine this review being sung by 12 pre teen cheerleaders at a football game… if you ever played growing up or have been to a kids game than you know this cheer… I SAIDDDDDDDDDDDD… BOOm dynamite Ah BOOM Dynamite I said… A BOOM A Chicka-rocka Chicka-rocka Chicka-rocka BOOm Dynamite! and it pretty much just repeats itself from there… — – End of my cheer leading skills — — No, the BBQ is not that good and actually below average. They should take the Boom Dynamite to Dillard’s and implode this place. It has been serving over hyped and poorly executed cue’ for a long time… But as with many of the other BBQ restos situated in «New» affluent Atlanta suburbs… people from all over just assume this is good cue’. Pork is soogy, Sauce is ketchup, Bun is Kroger brand, Stew is f”‘n bland, location is great to make money. That is the one thing I would keep from here… so blow the place up, take the food to the dumpster, and just leave the gravel covered corner… A BOOm Dynamite… sorry to the ones that don’t get my cheer and to the others that read this boring review… I’m a little burnt out on half a”‘ed BBQ. 2.4 stars Chef Invisible – Out

Husband and I went to Dillard’s for breakfast. I was expecting the staff to be on the rude side given the other reviewer who said that«some of the ladies are not so… lady-like» but the women who were there were pretty nice to us. Minus one star because they were out of country ham, gravy, and a third item that I can’t remember now. 9 am and you’re already out of gravy? Wow, dudes. But on the other hand, at least the lady was kind enough to tell us this upfront and not wait until after we’d ordered. According to her, it’s common for them to run out of gravy so you may want to show up early if you’re looking for breakfast. We both ordered steak and egg biscuits. The biscuit had a nice, fluffy texture but in my opinion it needed more butter. Biscuits should be buttery and a little greasy! Yes, I know that makes me sound like a fatty(which is okay because I am). The steak on my biscuit was really good. I was pleased because it tasted like actual steak, or at least meat that had been near a steak at some point in its life. So yay for actual steak and not mystery meats. Again, the steak wasn’t as greasy as I expected it to be. I guess when I’m eating at a hole-in-the-wall Southern food shack I expect more grease. But that could just be me. We will definitely go back and eat at Dillard’s for lunch someday soon so that I can report on their actual barbecue. When that happens, expect an update to this review. For now, it’s a solid 3 stars.

It’s a hit and miss, especially with drive-thru. Some of the ladies are not so… lady-like. Go in and eat. Last time I got rubbery BBQ, I spoke with«da Dillard» himself, and he HOOKED me up!

With BBQ it’s all about real smoke and atmosphere and Dillard’s has it. No homogenized chain strip mall faux BBQ joint here.(did I use enough adjectives) Where else can you eat at a restaurant that used to leave their Christmas lights up and on all year ’round!(they have recently changed their ways) They smoke the meat in an old fashioned wood smoker every day on site! I drive by every morning as they are stoking the fire for the day’s meat. It used to be the Falcon’s official BBQ restaurant, but not sure if that is still the case. They also tout their own home made biscuits and serve some death defying artery clogging breakfasts fit for a country king. Family owned and run of course, in fact much of the time Dillard himself is preparing your meal. If you do BBQ — and I know you do — you have to check it out. Bonus — The chicken is gluten free in case that helps. Not sure about the red meat. You will have to ask Dillard.

Great place to have breakfast here on weekends!!! Tried bbq occasionally and it is good although I prefer it without sauce mixed into the meat. Very nice folks!!!
