Jilly’s Cupcakes

Had never been to other locations so i can’t speak on price comparisons. I ordered 2 vanilla cupcakes with vanilla icing while picking up my dog from grooming next door. It was just ok.

During an evening stroll, we decided to stop in for our first visit and try a cupcake. The staff was polite and offered advice on her favorite cupcake as well as samples.
We tried a birthday cake cupcake and a cookie dough cupcake. Both cupcakes were slightly dry and the frosting was extremely rich. For the quality of cupcakes, they are expensive cupcakes ranging around 3.50 to 3.75 dollars a cupcake.

My fiancée was in a mood for a cupcake, so we stopped by this location at Suwanee Park right after church service. Everything looked promising initially as the displays were wonderful, cupcake was well presented, and the interior is well decorated. The guy at the register was friendly enough to give us his suggestions in a friendly mood as it was our first time.
However, I was disappointed upon realizaing that a price for a standard (regular cupcake size) cupcake was $ 3.50. There is an option to purchase a mini (¹⁄₃ of the regular cupcake) for $ 2.25 or a Vegan one for $ 3.75, but all of this is overpriced for cupcakes. To be fair there are special discounts per different days of the week and promotional items, but the quality of the cupcakes did not help in justifying the cost either.
We tried the Red Velvet and Peanut Butter cupcake but both were dry as the other reivewers of Unilocal has mentioned. I really feel like the establishment should focus more on the primary items of cupcakes rather than offering ice cream, shakes, and drinks like they do currently. I did not personally try the other 7 – 8 flavors of cupcakes or their oher menu items, but they were no different from standard items you expect to find at any other locations and did not particulary appeal to me.
The cupcakes at this location is overpriced and not anything special. I give this place a 3 out of 5 mainly because of their staff and cute design/​display.

We have been to this location twice & both times the cupcakes were super dry. Tonight we got 5 different mini cupcakes & they were all so dry you couldn’t swallow them. The large banana one was good but overall it was a waste of almost $ 20. I’d much rather drive to small cakes that has moist cupcakes & better flavor. The guy working wasn’t that friendly either. The first time we went there were two girls that were super nice which is the ONLY reason we even gave them a second chance.

I give them two stars and only because the people who work there are super nice. The cupcakes are dry and have no flavor. The icing is hit or miss. The cream cheese icing on the red velvet is good, however every other flavor I have tried has been bland. Over priced, and after trying them twice I highly doubt we will return.
