Pretty good for a quick fix Philly cheesesteak. I would recommend trying this place out. Always happy when I leave.

This TX only chain seems to be dying off and I’m pretty sad about that. The cheesesteaks are amazing, whether traditional or Tex-ified. The queso is among the best, and its all quite affordable. They also have outstanding sauces and condiments of many varieties.

I can’t believe I’m just now getting to this review! We frequented Texadelphia quite a few times while on a travel nurse assignment in Austin. This place whips up a mean Philly cheesesteak! Love it! Huge salads! Love the fried pickles! And best of all? A freaking free self serve/soft serve ice cream cone for purchasing anything on the menu. Love it! They’re always quick, reasonable pricing, and have a friendly service staff. The place looks way nicer on the inside, than on the outside. They have a private parking lot, which is always appreciated in Austin :)

Need a quick, easy meal that’s not going to break the bank? Head over to Texadelphia. One of my favorite college staples is still alive and kicking over in Sunset Valley and their South Austin location boasts hospitality and lots of big screen TV’s. Want to watch the game, eat a cheesesteak and have some beers? Try this place for a low key night out. Go for the Texican + XX. Add a side of queso for your chips and you’re set for about $ 10.

So first off let me start off by saying the cashiers here suck! Well at least the dufus I had. They clearly have a Texas cheese steak special in the front that comes with waffle fries and cheese to dip them with to go along with your jalapeño drenched Texas steak but telling them you want exactly what’s on the special doesn’t seem to register to them… So I had to hand pick exactly what was on the picture promoting this special to this kid. Maybe he was new? Who knows but come on man learn your menu if you’re working there… I’ve never had a Philly cheese steak from Philly so I obviously can’t compare them but for what it’s worth I enjoyed my food. The mustard they use here is so damn good! Almost reminds me of beer mustard. All in all this place is average provided you’re not some picky douche who thinks everything has to be «authentic» or from a «Food Trailer»…

I’m from Philly. This place has a long way to go before they are even in the right church wrong pew. But, we are in Austin and it’ll work in a pinch.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars! I’ll admit I’m pretty new to this whole cheese steak game. I had never even considered having one because well, we’re in the middle of Texas. A couple of weeks ago I had one from a food trailer made by a guy from Philly and it was so delicious that when I got the craving again tonight I decided to try this place so the boyfriend and I stopped in to this deserted restaurant. That should of been a warning. Perhaps no one else was craving one? Whatever i was starving. First of all I found 3 hairs in my food but I don’t get grossed out so I didn’t throw a tantrum. I just picked them out. I was starving remember? My cheese steak was really really dry. So dry that it didn’t fill the cold roll it was in. The pickles on the side tasted like bubble gum. You read right, gum. I should of feasted on those three hairs I picked out. Bet they would of been tastier than the cheese steak that is now giving me a horrible stomach ache.

Horrible Horrible Horrible. I’m only giving it 1 star to write a review. The cheesesteak was bland and cheeseless. There may have been an onion slice but I don’t recall seeing two. The jalepenos were no grilled at all(cold) and piled on like nachos. The chips were so greasy I could have my van an oil change with the excess. I left the pile of greasy chips directly on the table and there was an oil slick. Not even kidding. 10 bucks plus a tip(that wasn’t warranted) down the drain. Why am I tipping someone for simply doing their job again? Do your job and like it or find another. Avoid this place at all costs.

No idea how anyone polishes off the large sandwich. Had the regular south philly and fries and hours later still plenty of fullness in the belly. The free soft serve ice cream was an added surprise bonus. Look forward to going back someday after I further digest this goodness.

Friendly and pretty clean. The cheesesteaks are lacking flavor and super greasy, but I’ll eat it if I am hungry. They aren’t horrible but they aren’t amazing either. But you get a free vanilla ice cream cone with your meal. It keeps my little guy happy.

I’m a bit of a softie when it comes to Veteran friendly establishments. Veterans and first responders get 50% off at this particular location! And the combination of philly/nachos= #daBomb. Free soft serve ice cream makes the natural wait bearable too. Kudos to the owner!

I am highly disappointed that I went to this location today. I looked up as the cook was preparing my food, and he was not wearing gloves. Why was he handling my bread with his bare hands? NASTY. I will not be coming back.

Texadelphia is a staple lunch place for me when I’m in the mood for flavorful sandwiches! The smoked turkey is a fave of mine, and I just love the chips & salsa. This location has been here a long time(recently remodeled! and even better!) The lines are long though during work lunch hours, and call ahead can be a bit of a pain, but It’s worth it. The fresh foods, the soft buns & rolls, YUM!

Let me start out by saying that I have never been to Philadelphia so I’ve never had the real thing. But this is TEXadelphia! So deal with it! I get the same thing everytime — the Texican. Tons of jalapenos, cheese, onions, and QUESO! They have recently started doing a half sandwich with a side for $ 6.95 — perfect amount of food for me at a great price.

Went with a 4 because the customer service was a 4.5 and the food was a 3.5. Manager was very nice, gave me extra sauce and upgraded my Togo drink to a large for free. If the meal stopped there I would’ve given them a 5. The food tasted fine. Nothing absolutely amazing but it was more than enough to satisfy me. However, they forgot the cheese on my cheesesteak. Kind if a big deal. I was ultimately eating a steak sandwich. If I stayed at the store I’m sure they would’ve corrected my order but unfortunately I had to eat a pretty dry sandwich. I will be back– but this time I’m eating there.

I went back to Texadelphia this past summer and it was pretty good. Now remember, I am from Philadelphia… when I first moved to Texas I would not eat pizza for 3 years let alone a pseudo philly cheesesteak. Texadelphia is probably the closest thing you will get to a real cheesesteak west of the Mississippi. Kudos!

I have not been to this location and one of my nephews has never experienced this place at all, so this lunch was going to be a bit special. They were amazed the size of the burritos you can get and since they are growing boys, they can eat them. But they decided together the Monster sizes instead and I got a Hybrid Steak Burrito. As usual you tell them what you want in them like going down an assembly line. It also was interesting that only women were working here at this time, but they were flirty and nice. Just like the places in Austin they looked a bit different with the tattoos and piercing, and obviously not the culture of San Antonio. The burritos were excellent and my nephews loved them. The staff waved us good bye as we left.

It’s not that I want to call anyone names, but seriously folks? You have got to be out of your mind giving this any stars for the chow. The food is not particularly inedible(I would never waste food!), but it is completely flavorless. One thing that comes to mind when I see/hear cheesesteak, is well, nothing — just a slow stream of drool mostly. For a sandwich regularly sauteed up with onions, peppers, mushrooms and cheese, I expect it to BURST with flavor even before I taste the meat. Basically what you get here is some unseasoned deli meat thrown on the flattop to heat up along with the expected components. I have eaten here many times over the years(hate to finally set it in proverbial stone because I did oh-so-try to love you Texadelphia), and I have to give it a consistent hellnaw. My friends that drug me here in the first place are dear people, but if you are satisfied with Subway, then this is your place! If you realize that you live in a city chock-full of «to live for» food selections of every kind, then seek shelter from this imposter! It will inevitably hunt you down with its free wi-fi and cult following!

First let me say that I think Delaware Subs has the best cheese steak in Texas. That being said Texadelphia is still awesome all the sandwiches are tasty and they have 1.50 Lonestar and deals on buckets of beer. The décor is very comfortable for me and I always have a good experience when I go to this location. I especially love the mustard here. Another thing is that they offer a great deal if your a four square member. I’ve actually been able to get a Sandwich, Chips and bucket of Lonestar for about 10 dollars before with the Four Square discount. Oh and a big plus is that lots of times they play MMA or Kickboxing fights when I’m here, not being a huge sports nut this is very important for me and keeps me entertained.
