Their beer selection is awesome. Some great hard-to-find local California brews on tap! Food is just ok, which is why only 4 stars, but what else do you want. Best bar in Sunnyvale. Nice laid back but vibrant vibe too.

Do NOT get the Shepard’s Pie to go. The cook does not drain the fat from the meat. An unrepairable error on the cook’s part.

The food and beer selection here is amazing. Under the Stairs Passion Fruit is excellent, regardless of the price. Curry wings are a must get here!

My group of friends and I are frequent customers here. In fact, being from Sunnyvale, this is probably our favorite go to spot on Friday and Saturday nights. Usually the service is amazing, all the bartenders know us pretty well and treat us great. However, last Saturday we had a very bad experience with a rude waiter — he was a waiter we did not know. After my boyfriend’s second beer he ordered at the bar, Benjamin came up to us to let us know it was rude of him to not tip, even though we had already tipped well on the previous bill and we were planning to tip the next few drinks we were going to order. After he complained to my boyfriend directly that it was rude, I pulled out a $ 5 bill and gave it to him for the inconvenience he had for not getting tip on a tab that had one pint of beer on it. Benjamin then left and came up a little while later attempting to apologize but continued stating how it was rude of us. At this point, he had already received the $ 5 tip. My boyfriend was then irritated and ask him to leave — Benjamin then turned to me and said«your boyfriend is a jackass» before he left. Offended and hurt, I made sure to order $ 30 worth of drinks from him after that and tipped him $ 10 hoping he would stop complaining. I never had any waiter be confrontational and rude at Fibbars so we were very unhappy and shocked at the experience we just had. My boyfriend also thought he did tip the bar on the tab Benjamin was referring to so it probably was a misunderstanding handled the wrong way. I definitely would not recommend Benjamin to be a server.

Went for a happy hour pint(or three…) and was very satisfied with overall environment, beer selection, and service. Disappointed they didn’t have pretzel on the menu but would definitely come back again for drinks and a small bite. Curious what the evening/night would be like.

Went here for Happy Hour… POORSERVICE. You waste a lot of time from Happy Hour by just waiting for the server. It wasn’t crowded at all and there were 3 servers just huddled by the bar just chatting it up. I tried to get their attention as they pass by but they didn’t even scan our way to check up on us. So I went up to the bar to place my order and I was ignored for a good 10 minutes. I even saw one of the servers go in the back to go on her phone and looked like she was texting. I’ve been here a few times and the same thing. I’m not coming back here again. SERVERSCOMEWITHATTITUDE. The bussers were good though. I’d give a 1 star, but their food was ok.

Dead night, completely Ignored sitting at the bar. Left after 15 minutes. Didn’t even get to order. The bartender sounded really sick so probably for the best.

I’ve been to Fibbar’s several times in the past, but I had to organize a get together for my team and a group of people from the UK(thought it would be fun to take Brits to an Irish pub) and I reserved their«Snug Room». It was definitely snug, but that was because my group went from 25 to over 40. I was worried when they told me we would have one person serving us, but that kid did an amazing job. His process was to get people’s orders, run to the bar and enter them in, pick up the drinks, deliver, and take another order. Even with the number of people we had, no one had any complaints. Also most of us had dinner there and the food was good. Some of you need to remember this is a pub and make our comparisons there. Much better than most pubs I’ve been to in the area with a great beer selection. Plus, it was half price Scotch night(every Wednesday). These Brits love to drink and they were more than happy. I will definitely go back with a large group next chance I get.

Good food and service, authentic tastes and smiles. Shepherds Pie is great! Veggies were steamed perfectly! I love the warm feel from all of the wood. The cushions are old and warn, as are the tables. I will be coming back this week.

Always passed by this bar whenever I would go to downtown Sunnyvale to eat. Came on a Saturday night and it wasn’t too packed but not too empty either. Had a nice bar, a few tables and chairs to chill, and a very spacey dance floor! Had a great time at Fibber Mcgee’s to the point I was so hungover the next day lol

Great food, awesome rotation selection of craft beer, good(top 40’s) music on weekends, and always great service to top it off. I have become a regular, especially on Wednesday evenings for half of wine or whiskey :)

Waited 40 minutes for poor food. They forgot fries and beer. Walked in to check on the food and the workers were cursing and complaining about how antsy we were. Sorry, some people have full time jobs and only and hour for lunch. Ended up having to take it to go. Poor place for lunch during the week.

Was just here. 3 girls, almost empty bar, waited 15 minutes outside, 5 minutes inside until I got service. 1 bartender girl talking to her friend, another talkin to phone. I hope your boss reads this. You are bad employees and some people left just because you didn’t serve them who came after me. I left too without a beer as after 20 minutes you didn’t even have the 1554 I requested. Would have saved 20 minutes if I got some service.

We live in the neighborhood, and like to go to Fibbar’s. The beer list is usually good, although they definitely need more representation among the porters and stouts. The food is just OK. The service is really not good, and you can wait very long times for food or drinks. The servers that they have are alright, but they have a SEVERE shortage of servers. If you live in the area it’s a pretty good choice, but I wouldn’t make a special trip. review helps others learn about great local businesses. Came here for brunch after getting our butts handed to us from kickboxing and we were the only ones here. Granted, it was a bit early on a Sunday but it was a bit odd that it was so deserted on Murphy st, we will chalk that up to all the good church-goers being at church. Anywho, we sat down outside and had a blast. The tables out there slowly started filling up out there, it was just too nice of a ay to sit inside. The drinks were great and the servers were super friendly and very prompt. I got the Irish Burrito and WOAH was that thing huge! It was so delicious, but I could only eat half it was so big. My friends wanted simple eggs and toast, not on the brunch menu, but the kitchen was more than happy to prepare the meal. We will DEFINITELY be coming back!

I’ve been here several times now. The service leaves much to be desired, even when it’s a Monday night and there’s maybe less than 25 people. The waitress was friendly, but she was the only one waiting on tables(plus a busboy and bartender). We received our beers in less than 10 min, but the beer wasn’t that cold and a little flat for my liking. They obliged our request to put the giants game on the tv.(Funny thing was that Antiques Roadshow was on on the bar tv!!) Their happy hours are from 4:3−6PM and they have daily specials. Monday was $ 1 off craft beers. Word to the wise, Fridays and Saturdays, they have Club FM… so you’ll have to pay a cover to get in.

First off, I asked the waitress for a cup of water and she said she’d only bring me water if I promised to drink the whole thing because we’re in a drought. Um, yes I will drink the whole thing. I just had beer and a salty meal. I could chug a whole pitcher if you wanted me too. I didn’t say that… but she brought me a plastic cup of water not much taller than the palm of my hand. I even ate the ice. Felt like that was improper customer service. Food was good though. Went a happy hour on Thursday and the food was decentally cheap. 3 fish tacos for like $ 6? They actually weren’t that flavorful but who cares for that price. Also the curry… french fry… thing? It was like a poutine and that was hella good. Mac’n’cheese was sure to please. I suggest it. Only been here once for the night life. Can’t say it wasn’t bad… can’t say I remembered most of it. They have a great beer selection though.

Food: –Shrimp salad was the only mediocre redeeming part of the eats menu, served with a bag of Safeway greens on a big ass plate fit for a grazing cow -«Garlic» fries were thick and soft as dicks in a haunted house –Salmon was encrusted with a layer of salt, and accompanied by a literal bowl of liquid butter I shit you not, and this is why america is fat Service: –PMSy –Three requests to get water Ventilation: –Second hand smoke hell +1 star for minorly fun trivia night, would’ve been more fun if somebody asked our table about a second round of drinks within two hours of sitting there being straight up thirsty

Happy hour M-F 4:30pm — 6:30pm Great bar food! Beer selection is always changing, which is a huge plus in my book! This pub has friendly people who actually speak to you and carry a conversation than looking like they hate their job. Friday and Saturday nights, they have a DJ and a dance floor that lights up, pretty cool eh?

I come here seldomly, but every time I come here it is always a good time! I came here last week with my best friend to get a pint or two and see what was new on their chalkboard. They had a really nice stout here(me being a stout guy) that I really enjoyed. Our bartender was kind enough to let us sample a few beers before ultimately picking some to consume as pints. The seating wasn’t an issue as it was saturday afternoon around 6:00pm, I also got lucky with parking as well. Usually, parking here can be a bit, hectic. Overall; Good brews, good food, great setting and good service!
