Another hamburger joint. If it doesn’t get all over the place it doesn’t belong in your face… Is that how it works or what. So I guess I don’t really have to muck to complain about

The one I bought looks different than the image they show. It is so small ! Food doesn’t taste so well but the customer service is very good.

Tonight on June 17th, 2015 at 02:11am I was looking for something to eat around. Stopped by Carl’s Jr Drive Thru to get acknowledged by the lady, that they provide burgers from 6am to 11pm only. As far as I understand they have 24 hours drive thru just to make bad jokes on hungry strangers from 11pm to 6am. Or maybe stuff here prefer procrastination to hard work. Anyway this is amongst the funniest places around Bay Area. Carl’s Jr does not provide burgers. Come visit it 11pm to 6am to have some fun.

I’m not sure why this location is rated so low. From start to finish, the visit was good, though it was not exceptional. I wanted to stop somewhere to get Korean food but my buddy’s idea of Asian food is Panda Express. You will likely understand how this turned out. We settled on Carl’s Jr., which we both like. This is not a Green Burrito location, however. Making the transition from east to west coast again, Carl’s Jr. doesn’t have the small sandwiches Hardees has. Everything is 1⁄3 pound and up. I want taste, not weight. In any case, the person at the counter took our order and kept up with our special requests – no tomato on one, no tartar sauce on the other, cheese on both. It doesn’t seem so confusing from this side, but just try pushing all those little buttons. I think it was easier with a pencil and paper way back when. The price is fairly high for a chain, but once again, big burgers. We got our drinks without a problem, and sat down. Most all of the tables seemed to be clean. If the place is rated low, why does the dining room look good? The same person who took our order brought out the food and asked us if we wanted sauces. We didn’t have anything that needed sauce, but I guess since my beer-battered cod sandwich was dry, I needed something. Wouldn’t the beer-batter make it go down smoothly? I thanked him and answered no a second time. The food was at a good temperature. The new waffle fries were hot. They’re not bland like those from Chick-Fil-A. They sort of have curly fries seasoning on them. The food was good. I could almost give this 4.5 stars.

I will say the girl was very friendly. That’s where the good points stop. Very slow in the drive through. 8 minutes to get one sandwich, and I’m the only one there. It was early in the morning. The food I got was awful. It’s too bad, because for fast food, Carl’s is usually pretty good(a little pricey, but good) To quote The Sugarhill Gang«the food just ain’t no good, and the chicken taste like wood» Not going back to this one.

I have been eating here about twice a year since the late 1990s — back when this location had a salad bar! I got here today around 1PM, and there were six customers ahead of me. There was only one cashier. Interestingly, this cashier was much more engaging with the male customers than with the female customers — she smiled at the male customers a lot, and we female customers(me and a lady ahead of me) just got blanks looks. I ordered a Lettuce-Wrapped Charbroiled Chicken Club, large fries, and a bottle of water(Dasani). The total came to $ 9.77. As always, no receipt was given; in fact, the six customers in front of me didn’t get receipts either. The cashier silently handed me my bottled water, change, and numbered sign, with a very serious look on her face. Each table had a napkin dispenser, and salt and pepper shakers. There was a large ketchup dispenser in the part of the dining area closest to the registers. The flat screen TVs were showing soccer matches. About ten minutes after I sat down, my food arrived. The employee who brought out my tray smiled and said, «Enjoy.» The fries were piping hot, the approximately 5″ chicken patty was tender, the Swiss cheese thoroughly melted, the tomato slices were thinly sliced, and the bacon(two strips) was so good. The lettuce was crunchy, and it looked like they had wrapped lettuce around my sandwich twice. I devoured all my food in less than ten minutes, because I tend to go at food like a bear getting ready for hibernation. For example: My brother: «This girl that I’m seeing eats a lot.» Me: «As much as me?» My brother: «Not that much.» The construction workers two tables away that got their food before I did were still working on their food; as I got up to put my tray back, two of them looked at my tray, then at me, then back at my tray. Yeah, I’m petite but I can put food away. This Carl’s Jr. has its own small parking lot, that fills up fast. The cross street is Henderson Ave. Located on the same side of the street as Tanto Japanese Restaurant. Across the street from Subway. FYI This location gets good ratings from food inspectors:

I guess that the drive through was added as an afterthought(based on the reviews from ~2006 complaining about the lack of one). It seems like it was stuck on a stock room, since you can see their soda BIB racks and cup back stock through the window. A courtesy wall or curtain to block that from view would certainly make them look more professional. Every time I drive up to pay the woman takes my cash and disappears around the corner into a different room to ring me up, despite the fact that there appear to be 2POS terminals right next to the drive through window… Do these systems not work? Why not fix them, or remove them? I have NEVER gotten a receipt at this location either(I only ever do late night drive through)… Seems like a common trend according to a few other reviews. I hate to say it but when an employee seemingly bypasses the register and disappears from view to fetch my change and returns with rumpled change and no receipt I can’t help but wonder if there is some creative accounting going on.

Out of all of the fast food joints, Carl’s Jr. is my favorite. Their burgers are like a hybrid of Burger King, Wendy’s and The Habit. It costs more compared to Mickey Ds but to me it’s worth it since I don’t eat at fast food places much anymore. I like that they’ll turn any sandwich into low carb. They wrap it in lettuce. I need to custom order food these days and not all fast food places will understand what to do when someone wants a special order or has limitations on their diet. Today I had the Western Bacon Xtra Cheeseburger but I didn’t want the onion rings or the cheese so I asked them to leave that off and make it low carb. I forgot to ask them to leave the BBQ sauce off too so wiped it off. It was messy-good. The burger was awesome. I’d get it again. There were four pieces of bacon on it. These restaurants seem to be closing a lot, so I’m glad there’s one near our house if I want to go to one, but three of them that were within reasonable driving distance have shut their doors. Too bad. Nice, clean restaurant, helpful staff. They bring your order to the table and ask you if you need anything else. The manager walked by several times, which was nice –if I needed something, I’m pretty sure she would have accommodated me. One gripe: the faded art prints. I have a hard time with that anywhere. Those need to be replaced. Good parking, good location. TVs inside, no wifi though.

Good service for fast food. But every time I am there in the afternoon this hordes of 13 – 15 year old postbirth abortion poster children loudly yell at each other. I hope most kids aren’t this dumb. Someone needs to kick those kids out.

I haven’t been to one of these in some time. This morning I pulled in here for a quick breakfast burrito and it was great. I was so pleased that I dropped in again for lunch and had a Western Bacon Burger with a coke. A guilty pleasure and a good one.

This was one of those rare moments where hubby was hungry and had to eat«now». And then afterward, he wished he had not ate there. He ordered a #2 combo — double bacon-cheeseburger with fries and an iced tea. I did not order. The iced tea was so diluted that it had virtually no taste. The french fries were okay. The burger was simply terrible. Bad flavor and smell and very spongy. It is the first time I’ve ever seen hubby not finish a burger. He gave me the rest and after a few bites I tossed it too. We don’t usually eat fast food because it is so unhealthy in general but these occasional trips remind us that no matter how hungry we are, we should stay away.

I went to Carl’s jr # 1101038 and I wrote. For the order… Low carb burger(a six dollar burger, which said on the menu) super bacon cheese combo. He ended up register single burger super bacon cheese combo. God that manager didn’t get it! He’s a complete idiot and does he read English? What’s more. The onion rings were over cooked! Tasted so bad! Don’t go there! Other Carl’s jr the better because they get it and even good onion rings. Omg!

This is the worst Carls Jr I have been to. I came to the drive-thru at about 11 p. m and the service is extremely slow, I had to wait about ten minutes to get my food. The service girl didn’t remember to give me my receipt until I asked her. Better yet, when I got home I found out that she forgot to give me my drink as well. So I had to drive back again to get it. After I opened the bag and wanted to start enjoying my food, I noticed I got some«special» fries that were red, which looked very nasty and like the left overs. All I can say is that I hate this place. I’d rather drive farther to other ones. Avoid this one.

Came here on many different occasions. Place is clean but the service is sub par. Don’t go to this Carl’s Jr if your craving for a burger fix. I was feeling really fat and ordered a six dollar burger with extra large fries and drink. My friends had also ordered extra large to match my massive appetite. We got the food to go and left satisfied at the speed of service. However when we got home to open up our piping bags of greasy fast food, we were greeted with an insulting amount of fries. Who honestly orders an extra large to only receive a lesser than small amount of fries packed in the large package? Honestly who does that? For the first time in my life I was insulted by how ripped off I was from Carl’s Jr. I was nice enough to give it another chance on another day and they continued in not hooking up the damn fries! Bottom line; do not go to this Carl’s JR. Go to the one on Homestead.

there are some days where everything is hassle, people on the road suck, you’re short for time, it’s late and you’re hungry. I have soft spot for the Western Bacon and I’d never tried the $ 6 version so I went ahead for the combo. This chain is definitely not consistent. The burger was a bit on the sad limp side(unlike the one near my house) but surprisingly the fries were terrific. Who knew? As I sat there I realized how long it had been since I actually sat down for a fast food meal, watching this cross section of America I rarely see. An old couple, lots of laborers, small families, people you don’t come across when you eat at Michelin rated restaurants. I started thinking about how lucky I was to be able to eat at such places but also how eating here gave a sense of being brought back down to earth so to say. You get the same experience when you ride the bus and look at the sea of different faces. The photographer Robert Frank did a very important piece called The Americans, where he documents the living state of American society post WWII. Might be the best way to describe this weird stream of consciousness I’m having right now. You can check that out here: Hmm turns out the SFMOMA has an exhibit too: I gotta get over there before it’s over! Who knew my mind would wander so far just from eating at Carl’s Jr!

This Carl’s Jr has been here since before I can remember, and somehow I’m always drawn to it when I go home. Overall, I think Carl’s Jr. is one of the better fast food brands. However, I think since I’ve started my quest for the best burger, it much harder to go back to fast food and enjoy it like I used to. As has become traditional when returning home, I stopped by Carl’s Jr. for lunch. This time I got their new bourbon burger and their chili-cheese fries. Both were really bad. The burger was too sweet, the chili was just plain bad. I think next time I return I’ll stick to the regular(their famous star or something), but even then I don’t see coming back for a long time…

Very clean! I went with my hitleresque sales team, who stand over me mid-day(yes, while I’m on the phone) and insist that I attend a «socializing hour out of the office» to «clear my head» and«start the afternoon fresh». After cramming all of those trite phrases into one sentence while keeping a straight face, one apparently works up a real appetite for fast food. So I said«ok, but I’m veg, and I *ALWAYS* get screwed at the fast food joint!». «No» they say«This is the one with the huge salad bar. Yes, I remember, it definitely is, you’re going to love it, tons of things for you» Ok, so we pile into the Jeep and get on over there. Once inside, it is clean, much better than others I’ve been to. A quick check around reveals no secret salad bar that comes up out of the floor, but instead some tastefully prepared iceberg lettuce chicken tender salads, whereupon the suggestion arises that I take the chicken off, resulting in a woefully short-on-nutrition, chicken-flavored iceberg salad. No, but thank you, really. Hmmm, what to do when screwed as a veg? Well coming from CO, this is not the first time this has happend to me, and Carl’s Jr is in the same parking lot as… drumroll please(and a thank-you to the epicure gods that landed me in diverse SJ)…BHAVIKA’S INDIANVEGETARIANFOOD– so you’ll have to check out my review under their company to get the dirty details. Suffice to say that my coworkers were noshing on Indian sweets by the time the afternoon coffee was brewing. Oh, and Carl’s Jr is very clean.
