I’ve been here twice, one for dinner and one for brunch. I’ll say food is ehhh normal nothing exiting, service is very slow, very slow. That’s why I gave 3 stars instead of 4, also drinks are pretty good but that’s standard around sunnyside

Excellent! I would absolutely come here again! I had the roasted chicken and it was amazing. The potatoes that come with the dish are to die for. I wish I could order just the potatoes! I’m excited to come here again and try the rest of the menu!

***2.5STARS**** I think i ordered wrong, and maybe i came at the wrong time, but Quaint for me was just EH. I’ll keep this review short, but say that i really enjoy having it in the neighborhood/on Skillman. But I came for brunch — where 90 percent of their menu was breakfast foods — and since it was early afternoon, i decided to go for a grilled chicken sandwich. The bun was good but the chicken was just overcooked/rubbery(i had to spit a piece out). It was just too bad… for an $ 11, fairly basic sandwich, they just did not cook the chicken breast well amidst the sunday rush of brunch-ers. In addition, i really thought our server was mediocre. He barely paid any attention to our table, and never re-filled our waters. I had to push to get a coffee refill. And then it took him forever to clean our plates off the table, and when he did, he managed to leave excess potatoes from my friends plate just lying there in front of me. All the while… he dropped the check really early… and just kept looking at our group, waiting to see when we would pay, so he could flip it and get another group in there. I dunno… i’ll probably be back at some point… but just a bummer, because i wanted this place to be good. All in all, not so quaint,.

Love the atmosphere. Great staff. Polite and friendly. Particularly like the open kitchen. Their chicken in fabulous. Crispy, moist full of flavor. Small but not a «crowded feeling». will continue to go. Give it a try. You will not be dissappointed.

Terrific, simple fare in a lovely, simple room. Friendly service and basic staples expertly prepared. We had the Angus Cheeseburger and the Flank steak. The burger was flavorful, juicy, and seasoned with rosemary. The hand cut fries were crispy and fresh. The flank steak was marinated beautifully — tender and delicious. This will become a regular spot.

Friendly staff who are attentive and super helpful. The atmosphere is nice as well. I ordered the salmon and it was missing a bit more seasoning in my opinion so I switched it to another fish dish, which I thought was delicious! I would like to visit again to try some other dishes as the service was great.

The menu is small but DAMN if the food isn’t prepared perfectly. Food for the soul, relaxing environment. Honestly, it’s a gem.

For some reason I always assumed this place was super fancy and too trendy for us but I was gladly mistaken. We came here during Sunnyside restaurant week which includes an appetizer, entrée and dessert for $ 25 per person. On a Wednesday night, the place was pretty busy, which could have been due to the Restaurant Week crowd. We were able to get a table right away but our entire dinner took about 2 hours, mostly because there was only two wait staff working the entire restaurant(inside and out) and the bar. They were certainly trying their best though, and we didn’t mind. My appetizer was a cesar salad which was pretty basic. I had ordered a hanger steak, cooked medium, for my entrée and most of the steak was VERY red. I don’t usually send food back but this was not edible for someone who wanted a medium cooked steak. The wait staff was very apologetic and sent the steak back. I received a more well done steak a few min later, with a fresh plate of fries. The dessert was a warm apple cobbler which was a great way to end the meal. Quaint has a few cocktails on their menu which were good, but were the usual small size for around $ 10. I’d love to come back here, if only to sit at the bar as it looks so cozy.

The food was good, but not impressive. The burger wasn’t VERY good. But I did not like the service, it was a little be rude.

My friend and I came here for dinner and drinks Sunday night, and everything hit the spot! Sitting at the bar, I ordered the cheeseburger with blue cheese, and my friend ordered the spinach and mushroom penne pasta. Because it was cold outside, we forewent beer and instead ordered glasses of the Malbec and Pinot Noir, respectively. Each paired well with our food, and we left satisfied. Yay! I’m a fan.

So friendly stuff. Service was so great. Server let us sit into a nice cozy table. Foods were to be honest was alright. Service was so great. I enjoyed to being there there as a guest. I didn’t feel like a paying customer there. There is a difference. Which makes quaint to get a grade 5 from me.

I came in here for the AYCE Mussels and fries monday with my old man. However I was not impressed. They looked like they were sitting in muggy water with pieces of seasoning just floating on the surface. I don’t know if it had to do with us being the first patrons of the evening but I would deffinitly not recommend ordering this dish.

I’ve had dinner inside with a friend and out on the back garden with a friend as well. Great vibe inside and attentive service. Very cute(if not a little cramped) garden space with vines everywhere and fireflies if you come late enough. The place was very busy both times I’ve gone. I had the burger which was delicious with the exception of the goat cheese added. Goat cheese in a burger was the first and although everything else tasted delicious, I think goat cheese is best left for salads or nonburgers.

Good food and excellent service. I usually come here for brunch. It is one of a few brunch places in Sunnyside with an outdoor seating area. Of the few times I have been here, the Eggs Nova(w/Poached Eggs, Smoked Salmon, English Muffin, Hollandaise Sauce) stands out. The salad that comes with the eggs are alright but not the best that I have had. There seems to be a bit much dressing for my taste. The kitchen is open so you can actually see the chefs cooking. Their ventilation system is great, you don’t even smell a thing. The outdoor seating area is small but it has flowers around the edges. This restaurant does not allow dogs.

As the name suggests, this place looks attractively old-fashioned. This place has character. I like the wood décor. It reminds me of a pub out in England. There is an open kitchen which makes this place even more interesting. Something about this place feels familiar. During the summer months, go outside and use the patio. When the light shines it looks like someone’s backyard. The tables has a worn look. This creates a comfortable and cozy feeling. We came to this place a couple of times. The mussels taste amazing. Quaint features a Monday special: all you can eat mussels and fries! Ordered the salmon dish. It melts in your mouth. It’s that delicious! The menu presents a wonderful array of salads. Try them. This is a neighbor gem waiting to be discovered.

Ugh, seriously? I don’t understand how this place can get an average 4 stars with the food they serve. Went here last night for a quick dinner with the hubby and brother in law and I was looking forward to some mussels. They were bland and boring with sand in about every other one. Not good. The place was pretty much empty with 3 servers just milling around themselves and we still had to get their attention to bring us bread and share plates, etc. Not going back.

It’s the neighborhood gem everyone wishes they had in their neighborhood. The restaurant has been open close to 9 years, I have visited on three different occasions and I am a big fan of their New American cuisine. The restaurant is a decent size, it has a very Long Island/Hamptons vibe to their décor. There is also something very special to me about having an open kitchen, it seems like such a non factor, but it is such a big deal to me. I really appreciate the openness and it kinda shows that the kitchen has nothing to hide, I feel it is more honest and I always like a show. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are a good size. P. S– the back garden is on the small side, but nice when the weather is fitting. The food: Parmesan Crusted Fried Lamb Chops– Served with couscous and fried kale. This was one of the specials of the night and it was spectacular! The lamb was fantastic, it was perfectly crisp on the outside and nice and tender on the inside. The flavor of the lamb was present and the lamb was not greasy at all, the idea of fried lamb seems greasy, but it was not. The couscous was nice, it doesn’t blow you away with flavor but it was a nice addition with the raisins and chopped pine nuts. The fried kale was a nice added crunch, it doesn’t have a ton of flavor but still nice. Salmon– Israeli Couscous, Sun-dried Tomato, Pumpkin Seeds. I thought this was a really good dish. The salmon was seasoned and prepared nicely, but a tad over for me, I like my salmon more raw. The couscous was really good though, it was flavored really well and the sun-dried tomato added a touch of sweetness and the pumpkin seeds added a nice crunchy element. A very well conceived dish. Strawberry Shortcake– I thought this was OK, the biscuits itself was somewhat dry and lifeless. But the strawberries had nice flavor and sweetness, the homemade whipped cream was really good, it was not too sweet.

I’d been meaning to try Quaint for some time so I’ll admit that I might have had my hopes up before I even sat down. This is usually a mistake, but Quaint did not disappoint. The ambiance is nice– not too noisy, not too dim, and the service is friendly and fast. I loved the open kitchen and the smiling chef. Upon seeing the specials, we already knew we wanted to try the lamb — Parmesan encrusted seasoned lamb chop, deep fried, served with couscous and kale chips. Saying that the lamb was delicious would be a gross understatement. The dish was not greasy at all and didn’t taste deep fried. The meat was cooked perfectly– crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. The couscous was very plain– which I didn’t mind at all since the main was so meaty and well seasoned. The kale chips were nice and crisp but sparse. We also ordered the Salmon, which was served with Israel couscous and pumpkin seeds. The salmon was alright to me albeit somewhat forgettable, but my friend said it was a bit overcooked for his liking. However we both agreed that the Israel couscous was simply fantastic. It was well seasoned and well cooked. Between the two entrees, we would have loved to have taken the lamb chop and served it with the Israel couscous. But overall, both dishes were great. We were both kind of full but couldn’t resist a homemade dessert. We opted for the strawberry shortcake. The cake was a bit dry– something I didn’t mind too much because of the cream and strawberries. The cream was very light and the everything tasted fresh. I was very happy that the dish was well balanced and not too sweet. I have to mention that the menu is extremely affordable– especially for the quality of the food. It’s lunch time the day after my visit and I am still thinking about that lamb chop and Isreal couscous…

The customized drinks makes this spot a gem in Sunnyside. It does however, make me feel like slowly but surely, we’ll be seeing the Manhattan crowd overtaking an area that has such charm it it’s little one off restaurants and moms and pops. Either way, the open kitchen is so cool! The owner works there all day and is the head chef. It’s amazing! All of the ingredients are completely fresh and hand-made(sauces, dressings, etc. etc.) I had the salmon and caesar salad and was relieved that the salmon was cooked perfectly. The caesar salad had the perfect amount of crispy romaine heads and the balanced shaved parm. The service was great and I had a fantastic conversation with Sara, one of the bartenders. She was very kind and I heard numerous times from other patrons that I was sitting next to that she was very attentive. The atmosphere is beautiful. The conversations are intimate. And it doesn’t feel super crazy. A+!.
