Great place to have drinks with friends or alone, friendly staff and regulars, and a lit of fun fridays and saturdays with the Karaokee! Totally recommend this place.

My husband and I are longtime lovers of brunch at the Bliss. Cozy atmosphere and good(if standard) pub fare. Very reasonably priced, too. Karaōke in the evenings is always a good time. They get a boisterous, diverse and friendly crowd.

I have eaten here a few times and was there on 5÷3÷2014. This is one of my favorite places in Sunnyside to eat. It is a traditional Irish pub with somewhat limited seating. I ordered the salmon dinner and it was excellent. The appetizer of potato skins were great with real bacon not bacon bits. Stuffed mushrooms were large and very tasty. Before the above date mentioned I have not been here in a while but in the past I have ordered the steak which I thought was a great cut of meat cooked like a steak should be cooked. Slightly charred on the outside and medium on the inside. I have had the chicken in the past and it was very good. The owner is very customer friendly and makes sure your dinner is a good experience. I was told he is or was a butcher and that explains why the meat in this place is so good. The waitresses are usually friendly and accomodating. One of the only reason I am not giving this place 5 stars is that the bread served us was not warm or hot but to me that is a very minor thing. I give this place 4.8 stars.

A standard bar in sunny side. Great location for catching a bus from the subway. Not a lot on tap but a nice environment to watch some sports and drink a pint.

Came here for Sunnyside restaurant week lunch. Older gentleman was the man behind the bar, friendly and accommodating considering no one else was there. 10 buck: Soup or Salad and Entrée Veggie soup was good, very similar to what my Irish friend makes in winter. Had turkey and Shepard’s Pie. Turkey was meh, pie was much better and larger than expected. I was able to eat both dishes, but half the pie could easily fill an average person. In an oval dish, 8−9″ across and about 2″ deep. $ 3.50HH Domestic bottles, not bad, but $ 3 would be more in the appropriately priced wheelhouse for this place. Beer value ok. Shepard’s Pie value… thumbs up. Not a bad experience, will try and night to see how it is as a bar.

I came here for lunch during Sunnyside Restaurant Week and I really enjoyed my experience. I loved the whole look of this place. I tried the vegetable soup which was very good and tasted homemade. As my entrée I had the roasted turkey with veggies and mashed potatoes. The sliced turkey was very juicy and it came with a great gravy. The service was on point and everything came out as I ordered. I’m glad I got to try this place.

The sauce on the meatloaf was way too salty and gave me a bad taste in my mouth that whole night and even the next day. It tasted chemical-y. The portions are huge. The service is great.

I had the most Amazing meal tonight, it was just like what My Mom would have made. Gammon Ham Steak with Parsley Sauce, Mashed Potatoes, and a side of Mashed Turnips. Can not get any better let me tell you. Also had vegetable soup which also was very good. And Bread is always fresh, and served with Kerrygold Butter. Mmmmm. Yum I do love my Butter and Bread :) I finished off this Amazing meal with a Generous Helping of One of the best slices of Rhubarb & Strawberry pie I have had. The pastry was so good, the filling cooked perfectly, not too sweet, and served with really good Vanilla Ice Cream. 10 out of 10. The waiter also was flawless in helping us tonight, fast, friendly and Helpful. Next Time I am trying the trifle! :)

My review may be a bit biased because I do love to come here a lot. If you live in Sunnyside or just visiting than you need to stop in. It has become my neighborhood bar that I frequent with my friends for drinks and food or just drinks. I was introduced to this bar by some great friends and made more great friends within. This is no sports bar but they do have plenty of tvs for catching any game of the season. Walk in by yourself or with some friends and you will be happy. If you’re good to Bliss then Bliss will be good to you.

This is a good neighborhood scene. Prices are reasonable and food solid if unremarkable. A dependable simple night out in a comfortable setting among locals. Beer selection is good and bartender has always been very courteous and quick; she’s earned this place the fourth star. Karaōke is popular here, though it ranges from a big crowd to, occasionally, hardly anyone, and I haven’t noticed a pattern. Still this is the best public scene I know of, with just a couple of weird regulars and otherwise plenty of open space in the rotation, an extensive collection, and a kind audience and professional host(who has been at this gig for well over five years). Karaōke is everywhere but how many places achieve a good public scene without getting wacko, dominated by one group, unfriendly, sketchy, trendy, whatever? This place achieves a nice middle-of-the-road.

«Meh. I’ve experienced better» is very fitting. We decided to try Bliss Street Station for brunch because of all of the positive reviews we found on Unilocal. The food was BLAND. The burger was nothing special and the french toast was made from basic white bread. The home fries were raw, inedible and VERY salty(which is strange because nothing else had any seasoning whatsoever). Maybe we came on a bad day or the kitchen was slammed from the large private party that was going on but we will not be going back.

Me and my buddy just started coming here on Wednesday nights for drinks & karaōke. Yes karaōke on a Wednesday night, its pretty good for a mid week hang out, their are people who come and sing on a Wednesday night. conferable atmosphere, easy to meet new people. its more busy on a Friday & Saturday night. The Jäger Bombs are Best that I had in all of Sunnyside.

I just so happened to wander into Bliss Street Station years ago, when I was just a young lad, poor and new to the City. It was dank, and full of old people — the two things I generally look for when I search for a place to drink alone. What I didn’t know then was that this bar would become the epicenter of my social life. I have met many friends there, sang many a tune during Tom Saks weekly Karaōke night, and vomited many times in the decorative boot in the back corner. Liz the bartender is known among friends and locals as the quintessential bartender. Her Irish wit is as dry as the martinis she refuses to serve me after I’ve vomited into the decorative boot in the back corner. Would I recommend Bliss Street Station? Only if you can appreciate a good time, a warm and friendly environment, terrific service, and you stay away from the Corona Lights — because those friends, are mine.

Been a customer of Bliss Street Station for many years. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The food sets the standard of what good pub food should be. The drinks are poured generously and the staff couldn’t be more attentive. A definite place to visit if ever on the Queens side of Greenpoint Ave.

This place is awesome. The décor is super-welcoming with dark mahogany(or something similar) lining the entire place. Long bar with welcoming stools as well. I could see wasting away many weekend afternoons here. We had the shepard’s pie and fish & chips with 2 brooklyn lagers. The fish & chips was top-notch — the fries are steak cut and nothing to write home about but the fish was definitely above average. They give you a HUGE portion for the shepard’s pie and it was pretty good. Nothing fancy about the shepard’s pie but there doesn’t really need to be. The prices are a TAD on the steep side for the location(our bill came to $ 42). Not crazy markup but higher than they need to be to be fair. All considered I would rate it 4 stars in the Irish Pub category. Go check it out!

for one night, i was the happiest girl in the world at this bar. i spent thanksgiving on a four day bender in queens with two of my gay ex-roommates from cambridge. spending thanksgiving in queens, WITH queens? yeah, i fucking think so! the two dudes we were all crashing with said this place did karaōke on friday nights, & it was pretty amazing. i pre-gamed this place with moonshine, threw up in an alleyway & still didnt get cut off. i was drunk enough to sing a carrie underwood song; THATDRUNK. from what i recall, the drinks were cheap enough cos i was loaded & i spent a lot of my money on cigarettes. so, they had to be fairly priced. also, the locals were really nice. after i sang, one man asked me if i ever had any interest in doing theater; but, im pretty sure he just wanted to see my boobs … ive seen ‘fame’ before, buddy. final word; so, help me god i will return here someday to again close out the night with ‘no doubt — just a girl’ on a table.

I go there about once a month on Sundays for Brunch. The steak and eggs with home fries and a Bloody Mary is so good I never order anything else, been going there for years. Last week the steak was a bit grizzly but I’m hoping it was just an off day. I hear the burgers are excellent.

My brother in law lives down the street from this fine Irish establishment. I particularly like Bliss Street because it is an Irish Pub that delivers the goods… Irish bar keep, Irish staff, and Irish diners. Nice folks, through and through . The food feels like typical pub fare: burgers, fish, pasta, and the usual Irish suspects for entrees: fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, bangers and mash, and the like. The servings are large and, generally, well cooked. I had their lamb chop special on a recent visit: the chops were nicely done and I loved what they did to the turnips that accompanied the meal. The salad was nothing special and we didn’t have dessert. What could they do to bump up the star quotient? Serve the Guinness at room temperature! I found it too cold for my taste. Perhaps they were serving it for American taste buds… if so, too bad. Serve it a few degrees warmer and all will be right with the world!

The food here was really good, but I can get the same food at other Irish joints in Woodside, for less money. I had pumpkin penne, which was very delicious. The prices weren’t really worth it, and I probably won’t go back here, even though it’s so close to my apartment. Also they asked us to move tables when we were finishing up our drinks so they could accommodate a large party. I know this happens all the time at many places, but it still irks me!
