Vintage Hair Studio

I recently moved here from California and after waiting way too long I needed some serious highlights. After reading other reviews and wanting to stay near Summerville I made an appointment and hoped for the best. After 20 years with the same stylist it was hard to turn myself over to someone else. But, no worries because Mary did a fantastic job. Exactly what I wanted in every way! I made another appointment before leaving. I’ve found my new stylist! Everyone else in the salon was very nice, particularly Megan, the receptionist. It was a pleasure to discover this salon.

Love Vintage! Needed a new stylist/​salon when mine moved out of state and decided to try Vintage based on its awesome Unilocal reviews. They were right. Nice atmosphere, great stylists and the luxury that comes with each service is marvelous pampering. Everyone is super friendly and Rachel does a fabulous job cutting my hair. Highly recommended!

Love this salon! I wish I still lived in SC just so I could go there every month! Everyone is so pleasant. I forget the stylists name but she was amazing! The owner too was always checking in to see if I needed anything. I love the openness and simplicity of the salon too. Where I go now you can hardly walk to the sinks without bumping into a stylist. Next time I’m in Summerville, I’ll be sure to go back for a great hair cut/​color!

Great salon. I’m new to the area and use Unilocal quite a bit to find the best of everything. The reviews for this salon on Unilocal was the reason I called and set appointment for cut and color.
I had an appointment with Kara. Kara was incredible. Asked me several questions about what I liked and didnt like about my current cut and color and what I wanted. SHE LISTENED!!!
The consultation with Kara was extremely helpful.
After we chatted we went over to the color bar to have my color applied, again Kara was incredible. Very friendly and knowledgeable, this made me really comfortable with getting my hair done with her.
My hair turned out super cute and the color was perfect. Prices are good. The stylists are on a level scale of 1 – 5, prices will vary depending on the level. Kara is a level 4 and worth every penny!
Free complimentary service with color and cut from deep condition treatment, scalp treatment, hand and arm massage etc… check with salon for complete details. I got the Aveda deep conditioning treatment. Ahhhh… my hair is so soft and shiny!
I was so impressed with this salon from the receptionist to the stylist that I quickly sent my husband a text after finding out he could get in for a haircut. Mallory cut my husband’s hair and she did an excellent job as well, and he is really picky. Lol.
The salon also has a wide variety of products. Very impressive salon experience. Highly recommended!
My husband and I will both be booking another appointment.
This salon gets booked up fast, so call ahead, not sure about walk in appointments, my husband got lucky!

This was my first time at Vintage. I enjoyed the ambiance and the TLC offered by all of the staff. I love — I can’t stress this enough– LOVED my haircut. Mallory took a lot of time asking me about my hair and my grooming routines in order to get a feel for how to cut my hair. She asked lots of questions and never hesitated to make some alterations to the work she did — just to get my hair perfect.
If you want to be pampered while a adept stylist gives you a great haircut, this is the place for you.

Vintage Hair Studio, and specifically Kara, provided an outstanding service and experience for me. I had a color touch up and it matched the rest of my hair perfectly. I felt like I was at a high end spa, and yet the cost was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Vintage Hair Studio to anyone.

I am very particular when it comes to my hair, and am very skeptical when scoping out a hairstylist. Whenever I go to Mary at Vintage Hair Studio my hair game is strong! Ever since moving to Charleston I had been on the hunt for a colorist that really knows their stuff. Since finding Mary, I am convinced that she is the best and no one will ever be good enough! She gives a great consultation and really gets to know you and what you envision for your hair. When she did a beautiful copper balayage ombré on me for my birthday last year I was hooked! She really takes her time, she really loves what she does and it shows through her work. Her hair cuts are good as well, nothing is ever rushed and she always goes back to check her work. The services are on the pricier side but nothing above average for the level of expertise. You also get a free perk with each service like a massage or scalp treatment.
The atmosphere of the shop is great as well! The front desk workers are always very friendly and bring out tea or coffee. All the stylists are very friendly and professional and bring out a great vibe when getting your hair done. Which makes the environment so comfortable and relaxing. There is also allot of great product and a variety of brands for your hair product and face product needs. It is well worth the drive to Summerville just to get my hair done!

I’m so happy that I found Vintage Hair Studio! Mallory is FABULOUS. I am perpetually disappointed with my hairstylists but that is certainly not that case with Mallory. I have the utmost confidence that I’ll walk out looking wonderful.
I’ve visited several more expensive salons in the Charleston area and am thrilled i found a salon I love in Summerville.

I have had my hair done a few times at Vintage. Love my new color!!! In addition I have taken my 4 yr old step daughter who is biracial with curly soft hair you have her hair trimmed. Mallory was great with her and the hair cut was perfect. Can’t wait to go back!!!

I was very pleased with Vintage. We have just moved back to the area, and I «took a chance» on Vintage, as I was impressed by their location, and their website and professional appeal. The staff was very friendly and poised, the salon was very clean and uncluttered, and my hair cut/​color turned out very nicely. My stylist was new to the salon, Mallory. I absolutely loved her. She was really in tune with my thoughts on cut/​color, and had great insight based on my face shape and lifestyle. I enjoyed my time with her, too. My 6 year old got an adorable cut by Leslie, who I’d also highly recommend. The prices were reasonable, and I’ll return for sure!

We tried Vintage because my wife had gone to multiple places trying to find a stylist that could take her from dark brunette to a vibrant auburn red. Kara at Vintage was the first to get it right and did an amazing job.
As a guy, most places can do a pretty decent cut for me, although Kara did an absolutely incredible job with my cut especially for it being the first time she had cut it. Most impressive for me is the fact that I am at the in between phase of growing out my hair and she gave me a cut that still styles easily during the often awkward in between phase. Great work and a very professional atmosphere.
Upon finishing up her finals for the semester, I treated my wife to a blow out to pamper her following the end of a long semester. Neeley did an amazing job.

I was really impressed with the amazing service I received here. The prices were a little more than the cheap place down the street that messed up my hair, but they were worth every penny. Way more value for the money too with a massage, wash, cut, and blow-​dry all included. I spent an hour getting pampered in a beautiful environment and loving every minute. I will definitely be going back.
HIghly recommend this establishment. They are fabulous!

These ladies SAVED THE DAY! My little sister was getting married and upon asking her where she had her hair trial i found she was just «going to go to Great Clips on the of and get an up-​do». After the heart attack that came from said statement, i started looking for a place for her to go, as she and I live 700 miles apart.
Vintage Hair Studio was perfect. Not only did they make room for us, they gave her the experience i think all brides should have. She was so happy with her hair and the price was extremely fair.
They also fit me in for a blow out, which was a real life-​saver. I wasn’t prepared for the humidity.
The salon itself was beautiful. The staff was beyond friendly, and the hair was amazing. Could not be happier.

Great salon. Just treated to a complimentary hand massage & coffee. Everyone is so nice here. Very attentive to your hair needs/​wants. Highly recommended!
