My wife and I have been to Flowertown(now called Alex’s) Restaurant for the last several years at least once a month for a weekend breakfast. That and the occasional dinner or lunch. The hostesses are very warm and friendly. A few of them have been there for over a year or two and have come to remember us each and every time we visit. The food is good and there really isn’t anything I wouldn’t recommend trying. There is a special just about every day, for every time of the day. The only negative I could really say about Alex’s is that sometimes it’s a bit cold due to the overhead ceiling fans and floor dryers being on. However, if asked nicely, the hostesses will either turn off the fan or point the dryers in another direction. You can seat yourself, so make sure to sit in a good area where you will be comfortable. Almost forgot to mention, a TV set as well as a juke box is provided for your entertainment. So if you want a nice, quiet meal with the spouse and/or family in a folksy/diner like atmosphere, pay them a visit and try to sit where either Stephanie or Brandy will serve you.
