This place needs to do some updating. The menu hasn’t changed much since it was TaMolly’s. A lot of people live the food but it’s not my first choice for Tex-Mex. The best menu choices include the salads and the chicken enchiladas. Their Ranch dressing is really good! I like to mix it with the hot sauce. The beans and rice are ho-hum and so is the queso. The Bob’s dip is great! Compared to other local Tex-Mex restaurants their fajita serving size is the best. The service is prompt and the food always comes out quickly. My least favorite part about this restaurant is how you smell when you leave! Anyone who is a local will know where you’ve been, and I’m not exaggerating! If we eat here it’s usually for take out. They take call in orders and the orders are usually correct.

Gross this was my favorite place to eat growing up but in the past few years I have eaten here I felt it was inedible everything was so salty all I could taste was salt. It makes me sad but there are way better places to get Mexican food in town!

Your average, moderately priced, Mexican food. Think Chevy’s, if you know them. No bar. Service is good, salsa is bland. Value for price is about right.

It was good food. The 10,000 degree«be careful you plate is hot» needs to be fixed. I touched my forearm on the side and it left a red mark. I had the beef fajitas and they were great. The salsa isn’t that great. Service was fast and our waitress was nice. Good price.

Good food. It surprised me just how fast it came out. In fact, when the waiter brought out the food, I assumed it was for another table. Fun atmosphere.

Juan Pablo’s has good service but the salsa is just ok. Food comes extremely fast and sometimes too fast you almost feel rushed on the whole eating experience. Their menu hasn’t changed in forever, they should really update add some new choices.

Recently moved to the area, and looking for great tex mex food. Chips were good, salsa was pretty blah, and not at all hot. Food was so so. The biggest shocker was that we couldn’t get a beer, wine or a margarita. Who ever heard of a Mexican restaurant that doesn’t sell alcohol? I will keep searching for a great one.

I give it two stars because it used to be better. I know for a fact that the only items not made from scratch are the tamales, chicken fried steaks, and chicken strips. But what’s the point of cooking fresh if you over prep or don’t follow recipes. Nobody in mgmt tasted the beans today or they would have known they were over salted. I don’t want to order fajitas knowing you cooked my meat earlier and let it steam in a container by the grill where you heat the plates. I don’t want to order a chicken strip dinner for my child knowing you par cooked the chicken then refried again when I order it. How hard is it peel the rough outer layer of an onion before putting it into your chicken taco meat? It’s going to turn into a rubbery piece of plastic inside my flautas, which are also fried ahead of time apparently and reheated in the impinger oven. Back in the day the owner would have fired everyone in the kitchen for laziness… Or for waiters playing on their phones in the lobby… Busboys leaning with the feet propped up on the wall. Managers, it isn’t about 4 minute ticket times. Have some respect in your food and service. I guess when your on top, and you made your money you just don’t care and go through the motions. It’s just sad and disheartening. I told the cashier tonight as I picked up my order he could toss the lemons on top of the glass into the trash can behind him, so I could carry them easier. I kid you not, he took it off the lid, put it in his mouth and sucked on it while he tabbed me out. The reason Mexican restaurants keep opening in SS is because they know you just don’t give a shit anymore. However, most people are so accustomed to your food and have gradually endured your fall from grace that they rarely even notice. TaMollys used to have some pride in itself, and with the name change came a lot more changes that don’t impress anyone. Who cares though, right? Everyone’s gonna line up next Sunday and pay for your mediocrity. Why? Because it’s Sulphur Springs and that’s what we do.

Typical menu and nothing out of the ordinary. Food was good, well prepared and very hot. The service was very good but what you should expect. Gave it a 4 star rating because it was good, hot and quick.

Very delicious meal. The chips were good and so was the salsa. I loved the queso as well. I had the Fiesta Meal and it had 2 cheese enchiladas, 1 tamale and a beef crunchy taco with rice and beans. I loved everything!!!

Ate here a couple of weeks ago. The wife had a fajita chicken salad. I had beef soft tacos. The chicken salad was decent with a good dressing. The beef tacos were dry and flavorless. The rice was too salty and the beans were bland. The chips and salsa were excellent though, so I ate mostly those in the end. With Los Mochis and Tierra del Sol, this place is low on the list for Mexican. The staff were super friendly though.

This is a place I’ve frequented for many years, enjoying the hot, fresh, thin crispy chips, delivered to your table soon after seating, along with salsa that is a little thinner than I would prefer, but tasty. On our recent visits, we really enjoyed the Fajita Chicken Nachos Supreme, although it would be nice to omit the jalapenos and sour cream on this dish, and get a bigger serving of Quac… the quacamole is not a generous serving, even on a quacamole salad. It may depend on the server, but substitutions are not allowed on this dish when I’ve requested it. When we visited again… always great service, we had enchiladas, and for the first time, the chicken in the sour cream chicken enchiladas was kind of dry, and the rice and beans were just average… the dish overall lacking some flavor. Overall, we like this place… it is very noisy and busy… and we will return, but will probably stick with the nachos or the taco salad [my husband esp. likes that] You will leave with a strong smell of cumin on you for the rest of the day [don’t know why, but it’s true ] Again, the service is exceptionally good here and makes up for some other flaws. It’s nice to go to a place where the servers have been there for many years and know how to take care of a customer… a rare thing these days !! We appreciate it.

Mediocre at best, sad to say. My husband had a chimichonga that he swears was a frozen dinner. I had a burrito that was not«bad» but seriously salty. The chips and salsa are good. I would come back because my family is from SS and it’s not the worst I have eaten.

Great mexican food at a low price. We eat here often and are always happy. If it is very crowded don’t let that discourage you because the service is fast. Two people can stuff themselves full for a little over $ 20. They have a lunch menu but we always eat dinner there. Probably the best place in Sulphur Springs to eat.

Best Mexican food in Sulphur Springs. The food is always hot and fast. The chips are made on sight and are perfectly crisp and usually warm. The salsa is excellent. The waitstaff is always quick and friendly. I have eaten at Juan Pablos many times and have never been disappointed. It is also a great place for a large group to dine. If your late arriving during the week noontime lunch, you may have to wait.

I went to dinner at Juan Pablo’s while traveling to Sulphur Springs for work. I had just made the almost 2 hour drive from DFW and I was exhausted. Pizza Hut was on one side of my hotel, Juan Pablo’s was on the other, and Juan Pablo’s parking lot was PACKED so I decided to go there for dinner. I was seated immediately and given a huge basket of chips and salsa. I ordered a small queso dip– good but nothing spectacular, just your typical Velveeta/Rotel blend. I ordered my entrée– a combination with cheese enchiladas, a tamale and a beef taco with rice and beans. It came out FAST. A little too fast. Once I started eating I found out why. Everything on my plate tasted like it had come out of a can. The enchiladas were salty and the cheese tasted artificial. The beef in the taco tasted like the Old El Paso seasoning packet you buy at the grocery store. The red chile sauce, beans and rice all tasted manufactured. I saved the tamale for last, since I love tamales and was hoping it would salvage the meal. No, not a chance. It was salty with no other spice or flavor. I was still hungry after after picking at my meal, so I decided to order sopaipillas. The server came by and put my check on the table, and when I told her I wanted dessert, she just nodded but left my check there and never came back. So I paid my bill and left. I ended up going to a fast food restaurant later that night because I was starving. This restaurant was awful!

(First time in this area; comparing this to food in the cities, not other restaurants in the area) The place is decent. Mostly comparable to a Chili’s or Applebee’s but there was a little bit of distinctive flavor in the food(I’d give it 3.5 stars if there were such a category). Service was good.

Looking for quick good food, this is the place! The fajita beef quesadillas were excellent, just the right size. The burritos had an excellent mixture of the beans and cheese. The nachos were very enjoyable because they were very crisp and didn’t come out soggy. The enchiladas are also recommended for a first time diner. The chips, salsa, and queso are also very good, they definitely have a distinct taste to them that makes them unique. The service was prompt and the atmosphere was enjoyable. The prices are fairly cheap for the quality of food served. Highly recommend!
