We stopped into the picturesque town square of Sulphur Springs and found this little gem while taking in the beautiful day. I loved the look of this quaint, cozy little shop! Everything was displayed so beautifully in the cases and we decided on one pistacio and one coffee macaron, a wedding cake, a chocolate raspberry and a crème brûlée cupcake and one wedding cake cakeball. They were all delicious! The crème brûlée cupcake was my favorite of the three cupcakes, but the cakeball was to die for! So moist and unlike any other cakeball I have ever tasted! The gentleman behind the counter was super helpful and nice as well. I’ll definitely have to stop back in the next time we pass through!

Really good cookies and cupcakes. The frosting is not too sweet which helps balance the flavor. The cakes have good texture and flavor as well. The tarts and pies are good too.
The gluten-​free items are hit and miss. We had gluten-​free almond chocolate cookies which were great. We had some pumpkin gluten-​free cupcakes which were like bricks.
Talking with the owner, she is trying to tweak recipes and make stuff from scratch while also trying to make a profit. So some of the gluten-​free stuff has xanthum gum (to mimic gluten) which I don’t like. I prefer gluten-​free to be healthy rather than trying so hard to mimic regular baked goods. We don’t have to eat gluten-​free but choose to, but we tend to be more on the paleo side than other things.
Some of the fillings (like the apple cobbler) taste like from a food service can rather than from scratch. Kind of disappointing, but time is money I suppose.
Service is excellent and friendly. We discussed the lousy gluten-​free cupcakes and they offered to replace them. We got some regular cupcakes instead and those were great. That is how you keep customers. Well done!
We will be back when we want another sweet cheat fix. Supposedly they will have bread in 2015. We encourage everyone to try to support new businesses even when they are trying to work out the kinks.
