Had the Wildcat sandwich. It was pretty good. A lot smaller than you might think, based on the photos. My wife had the buffalo chicken nachos and they were pretty boring. Pretty mild and bland chicken. My son had a gyro and he said it was good. My daughter had the shrimp Alfredo and the sauce tasted like peppered country gravy. The restaurant was dead at 12:30pm on a Saturday. It’s a lot smaller than it looks in the photos. Most of the best sounding menu items are only available after 5pm. And the tables and menus were greasy. The place seemed to have a dirty feel to it. Not what I was expecting, based on the reviews. Not a place I would ever recommend.

We were disappointed with our meals(particularly given its rated #1) on Unilocal.I had the scampi pasta which had a handful of scampi, lots of butter & an cheap seasoning. Husband had the tacos which were nothing special. The service & live music however was good :)

Good food great staff. Right in the heart of this beautiful historic downtown. Great place. I had the fish tacos and my brother had the pork chop. Both were delicious.

Was passing through and couldn’t have picked a better place to eat! The bourbon chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans, buffalo chicken nachos, and rib eye with fries were all superb!!! Did fried zucchini starter and it was so yum. Our whole family loved the food!

We are driving from CA to VA and stopped in Sulphur Springs for the night. We found this place on Unilocal & went to dinner about 6:30. The special tonight was prime rib & two of us ordered that. Our friend ordered the bourbon chicken. All three dinners came with green beans and mashed potatoes. We split a wedge salad. Our meals were great. Everything was beautifully prepared and delicious. One way I judge a meal is how things are seasoned and our dinners were all complete when they got to the table. There was no need to add salt or pepper or hot sauce. It was perfect as served. The salad was dressed in a peppercorn dressing that was really, really good. The service was great, the place was very busy & they had an excellent musician playing in the front room. This is a place I will visit again when I am in this part of Texas. Bring an appetite — the servings here are big, as they should be in Texas.

I’ve only eaten here a few times lately but typically the food is good. The blackened tilapia and the fish tacos are good choices. I loved the dirty rice. The portions are not huge, but you leave satisfied. I want to find that GREAT thing on the menu but something about the difficult parking and location keep me from going back. The place is clean and the wait staff is nice. The building is small, so when they have live music, don’t plan on hearing anything else.

Excellent place with amazing food, we frequent this restaurant and I finally got around to writing a review. My personal favorite is the Glazed Salmon! They have an amazing bread pudding dessert and awesome buffalo chicken nachos. The staff and bartenders are also amazing!

We are from Dallas and live in the Rockwall area now. We are sorta foodies. This place had really good food. Chicken breasts were huge and tasted farm fresh. Awesome green beans and mashed potatoes. Cocktails were pretty strong. We sat on the patio on a cool early fall evening. This town has an awesome square. Seriously the best part of this little weekend getaway was how impressive their square is here and it’s charm and ambiance was extremely impressive. Everything came together to make this a great evening.

Delicious steak even without my A1 with whiskey sweet glaze. 2 guitar players. One glass of wine. Great service. Cheesecake. downtown sulphur springs was very cool. Saw and used the glass bathroom. I was surprised at the whole atmosphere is SS. Met 2 nice bikers at Mudd Jakes a place in which I will try next time. A very fun night

Went here for the first time based on the Unilocal reviews. Looked like a good place to grab some lunch and a couple beers. First they only had 5 beers on tap and about 10 others bottled. How can you call yourself a pub with such a small selection? Next our waitress was a very nice lady, however she didn’t seem to know the specials or anything about the few beers available on tap. Had to keep going to ask someone else to answer our questions. I ordered«The Wildcat», which should have been named«The Kitten» with the meager amount of meat and tiny bun used to make this sandwich. The coleslaw used had zero flavor and the only redeeming item were the fries. Wish they had been a little warmer. Also we arrived during happy hour, which should have included chips and salsa on the table. Not even a question from the waitress as to whether we’d appreciate a bowl. Definately do not recommend this restaurant.

Very classy yet casual place in adorable Sulpher Springs. They had some of the best food, such as the excellent-quality Bourbon Chicken and the delectable Angus Steaks! Friendly service too from Travis the server. Portions are Texas-sized. Even the bread rolls are amazing. They cheerfully can substitute your sides if you want to go low-carb. That said, I think it’s a stretch to call it a «pub». The theme of the place is more like wine country. There’s a little bar in the back but they don’t make Black & Tans and the beer selection is limited(although they do have decent choices). Nevertheless, I’d definitely go here again(although with less expectations of a ‘pub’ experience)!

Came in for dinner at about 7pm and was seated as soon as we walked inside. Our server was very friendly and got our drinks out to us quickly. The water smelled like toilet water and tasted weird so I got myself a soda instead. We ordered the fried zucchini to start with and it was hot and tasted amazing. Very well made and delicious. I ordered the ahi steak and my girlfriend ordered the Bourbon chicken. The chicken was slightly dry but seasoned well; the mashed potatoes were very very good– it was moist and buttery. The ahi steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly; coming from Hawaii I know what good fish tastes like and I was very satisfied with my meal. The green beans and yellow rice were both exquisite. The next time I visit Sulphur Springs I’ll definitely come back here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed a late evening meal at this local restaurant. In my mind it is close to becoming five star. I liked my salmon with a spicy sweet sauce that was served with rice and green beans. My plate was pretty much empty by meal’s end. Others enjoyed the ribeye steak and the grilled chicken. All dishes were served with green beans which made everyone happy. Table mates enjoyed sweet potato fries and loaded nachos as appetizers. This is our first choice for dinner in Sulphur Springs. Casual and comfortable with good food, who can complain?

Solid 4 stars… This is my regular weekly stop while I am working the area. Best place in town that I have found. I usually have their special that they post out front. Their chef does a great job of mising things up and keeping the flavors lively. And let me tell you, I like a lot of flavor. That makes a meal enjoyable. I have had their sweet and spicy salmon, their scampi, Ahi tuna, New York steak, etc… Cleaned the plate each time. Service staff is friendly and attentive. Prices are right where they should be for this area. Solid $$ on cost. Oh, I saw the Philly sandwich last week at another customers table. It was HUGE and looked great. I have to try it soon. Eat here and you will not be disappointed…

Came with a large party in between the meal rushes, so they were able to accommodate our size, which was good. I had heard good things about their food, so I was excited to try them out. When I saw the menu though, the choices were limited and not really appealing except for their steaks. A few others in our party wanted a steak too, but we noticed that the steaks were not available until after 5pm. We asked if we could order a steak anyways, but they told us no. When I asked why, they said that they don’t want to turn on the grill until after 5pm. I don’t know what type of grill they have back there, but I presume it is gas, so I found it strange that they wouldn’t cook what we were wanting, esp since it was more than just one steak. At that point, I was tempted to just take the whole party and head over to Redneck Roadhouse, but we decided to try something else. I ended up choosing the salmon. It was okay, a little over cooked and over seasoned, but edible. The waitress recommended that I don’t choose the yellow rice that comes with it and instead go with sweet potato fries. I chose the fries and they were also okay but not stellar. One person in our party had her food come out really late for some strange reason, so they comped her a free dessert. Our party also ordered a bread pudding and key lime pie. Again, okay but not really great. I like to support local businesses, but I don’t think I will come back here. They seem to be busy enough that they probably won’t miss my business anyway.

Craft beer!!! Saint Arnold Lawnmower and Abita Amber on draft! I had already eaten so i snacked on the tomato basil soup. The soup is excellent. I was expecting Cajun food. Where is it on the menu? The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. A good food option in this town.

My family and I were passing by from Dallas to Memphis, we got hungry and of course I hit my always trusting Unilocal app for help. First of all, this little square town is so beautiful! It’s a delight to walk around here, they have great little stores, and then there’s LouViney’s. This place is so good! For little kids and big kids, and for the drivers(parents). We all got something different to eat, but me, as a good mom I am, tried all of the dishes and I was very pleased with all of them(then I approved and all got to eat their food… kidding!, I had to beg for my kids to give me a little try haha) My son got the pitta cheese pizza(very good dough, very good cheese), my little girl got the chicken fingers(yummy chicken with perfect coating, very good fries), my husband got the wildcat sandwich and it was as well delish, and then there was my dish. I had the fish tacos… so good! perfect coating in the fish, yummy cole slaw, they serve them with creamy chipotle sauce(which I also make at home for my fish and shrimp tacos), so good!, they come with really good rice; now, the serving of the rice could be a third of its size and it would still be a big serving, but hey, I don’t eat that much rice anyway, so maybe its good size for others. The taste of it is really good, very well done(I bet it’s done with the stock from cooking beans, my good guess). Overall everything was really good, the service is really friendly and fast, place is super clean too. We will be stopping by this place for sure in the future in our travels around here.
