Best place to get your eyebrows done. Ask for Sonnie… she has marshmallow hands and is so gentle. No in-​growns, great technique, and great shape. Super meticulous and my eyebrows look great. I have referred so many of my friends to her. Worth the drive and the price!

Not only Genesis is a very beautiful spa and salon, but the staff are all friendly, professional, and highly engaging.
I get my hair cut every three weeks at Genesis, and I have yet to be disappointed or have even a slightly less than amazing experience.
The facility is modern, clean, and large.
I would recommend this business to anyone looking for stellar service and consistently excellent quality.

Sonny has increased her threading prices yet again! I have been a faithful customer for almost 8 years now and I don’t think i’ll be going anymore after my last visit costing me 35 dollars for threading. When i can get the same service for 15 dollars somewhere else. I dont know what the price increase is about but i’m fed up with it. If you can afford it she’s great. i wish i wasn’t a broke college student and already had my career so that i can afford her outrageous prices…

I found this spa when I was looking for a good place to get my eyebrows threaded. All of the ladies that do the threading are very good. When I was checking out I mentioned that I had heard from some friends that someone there gave very good facials. The lady at the front desk knew exactly who I was talking about, Hong. I went to her for a derma plan. Not only was the derma plan fabulous but the environment was very relaxing and Hong is so sweet and knowledgeable. I have already scheduled my next appointment & am looking forward to going back for «the works»!!! I’ll check back in after that appt to review.

I found this spa thanks to a personal referral.
I make my appointments ahead of time to see Sunny (she’s always booked out).
Sunny does an awesome job with my eyebrows and she’s the only person I allow to touch my eyebrows. I have been growing them out for over a year (a waxer messed them up and took them down to half their size) and Sunny has helped me get them back to being beautiful and nicely shaped.
Wait time is not very long and the threading process is very fast. She makes it the least painful experience and she has a good vision for your brows.
I hear threading is usually cheaper than her prices, but honestly her prices are worth her experience and skill set.

The price they charge for eyebrow threading is outrageous and the quality isn’t worth it.

I must say, I’m very surprised to see that this business has not been given higher ratings. From the moment I walked in, everything was nothing less than exceptional. The very friendly front desk promptly greeted me and had me check in, then I was shown to the spa which looks stunning. I had a service with Hong who is hands down the best facialist I have encountered! She even gave me a little neck and shoulder massage! I didn’t want my visit to end. I’ve since been back and had a haircut with Denise who I must say is an expert at doing a tight fade. I would highly recommend this salon/​spa to anyone who is looking for a new stylist or facialist.

Great service! I wouldn’t trust anyone else. They are always able to accomodate me into their schedule. Sonnie is fast and great at what she does. Facials by Hong are also very good. The staff is all very knowledgable. The place is clean and relaxing. I would recommend strongly.

Great service. I have had facials here and a pedicure. The esthetician was wonderful. The light in the room was dimmed and calm meditative tunes played in the background. Cream after sweet smelling cream was massaged into my face. My shoulders, arms and hands were gently massaged with cream. I felt so relaxed. I kept thinking, I need to do this more often. My skin felt great and looked great when I left.
Kudos to the staff at Genesis. Keep up the great service.

What can I say about this place…
1.) It’s overpriced. There are threading salons for $ 5-​$ 10 on every corner in Houston, yet this place charges upwards of $ 15-​$ 20 for a «spa experience».
2.) The customer service is greatly lacking. They definitely don’t know how to listen to the customer or admit when they make a mistake. They will try and push unnecessary products on you.
3.) If I am going to pay a ridiculous amount of money for a service such as eyebrow threading (see #1), I don’t believe it’s too much to ask to be seen at the scheduled appointment time.
I could go on, but this covers the basics of my displeasure with this place. Greedy management and terrible customer service with an appeal to the «American» crowd sums it up.

I must say that this spa was wonderful. First visit there and i was treated like a regular. The workers are very informative and make you feel river at home. I would recommend this place if you if your looking for a massage parlor.

If I could leave a zero I would. I’ve never had as bad of an experience anywhere as I did here. First, they took me back to the sinks and made me wait 15 minutes with my head in an empty sink while she saw other clients after saying she was ready for me. Sure, Sonny did a great job threading
my eyebrows, but instead of lightly tinting them a half shade darker (they’re blonde) they were died black (I’m a redhead). She refused to remove the dye and the manager was gone for the day. I went ahead and paid (mistake) and was called an hour later saying I owed them an additional $ 10 for the disaster, which I refused. When I called the manager she said all she could offer me was «half off another brow dye». Wow. Should have read the other reviews before coming here. Tl;dr don’t come here if you don’t want to look like a clown.

No matter what time I have an appointment here, I always end up waiting. I’ve only been to get my eyebrows threaded which is a little more expensive than other places. Somehow I always end up with a mild rash after threading, but that could just be my skin. Last time I went, I asked Anita what to do about it and after scolding me for tweezing in between appointments, she recommended some organic facial cleanser. I decided to give it a try and after a few days of use I still had a mild rash and my skin was super dry and peeling in some places. Needless to say, I stopped using it. I’m not so sure they know what they’re talking about… I think I’ll try another place next time.

I was waiting for my appointment when I saw that Genesis was rated 1 on Unilocal by 3 different reviewers. Oops, too late now.
I came to get my eyebrows threaded after a makeup artist recommended this place to me. The wait was kind of long for a 10 minute procedure, but the staff was friendly and apologetic about the wait.
Their prices are moderate ($ 15 for brow shaping). I guess a little pricey for the suburbs but not bad compared to salons inside the loop. I felt that whole experience was pleasant.

Zero stars is more appropriate. Avoid at all costs, husband bought gift certificate (on the recommendation of another husband) and the whole thing was a nightmare. Owner is terrible, services are overpriced, and customer service is nonexistent. I can’t imagine how this place stays in business.
The owner is the problem. Really, avoid at all cost.

My sweet husband unknowingly bought me a large gift certificate from Genesis. Because I was aware of their reputation, I choose to go the spa route and loved my services. Sadly that gave me a false sense of security in the rest of their staff, and out of sheer fatigue asked for a bang trim, but only up to my eyebrows. One snip and I found every woman’s greatest nightmare. My bangs were not only CROOKED, but an INCH ABOVE MY EYEBROWS!!! I had to insist the stylist put her scissors down and leave me alone. End of story I left in tears after another stylist took off another two inches all around to minimize the damage, demanded my $ back from the spa, (happy mothers day to me, right? not what they had in mind), I left masseuse a big tip and disappeared. Later efforts to communicate w/​owner who is on maternity leave and hiding behind manager unsuccessful. Asked for $ 250 to go to prior stylist for highlight and three months of maintenance while bangs grow out. Told no, i’d gotten my cash back already (um yeah, for mothers day, not damage control) but that ant of their stylists would take care of me. NOT STEPPING FOOT BACK IN THERE and advise you shouldn’t either. P. S. the other stylist that voluntarily fixed my hair, while kind enough to do so, was previous owner of a salon @ 99 and 59 that had to close… also had heard bad things re: their rep. And she left me w/​o comb over, pulling hair from side and back to cover bangs. Epic fail AGAIN.

i’d give this place zero stars if i could. after reading some positive reviews on citysearch, i ventured to sugarland to get some threading done. it was mediocre, overpriced, and the owner is incredibly rude. (i watched her yell at a client who complained about something) additionally, i have never been serviced on time no matter when i arrive. i suspect the gushing reviews on citysearch may be written by associates of genesis themselves.
