This place is amazing for Breakfast. My family and I love coming here. We always enjoy looking around the general store while we are waiting for our table and after and my son always gets a trinket every time we visit. We had the pancakes today and they were delious! Our server Jo was very nice and attentive and your staff is always so friendly and nice. Thank you for making our morning enjoyable.

Ate at cracker barrel tonite OMG ordered a coffee and water, got the coffee. ordered corn bread I love corn bread got 5 biscuit style breads and returned 4 ½ of them. they were the dryest cornbread I ever had, ordered my food and 3 other tables that came in after us got there good before us. My wife ordered a steak and it was the dryest piece of shoe leather she ever had. I tried it and OMG she was right, I’ll never eat there again with all the good places to eat in sturbridge you would think they would step it up a notch. Will never go back did I say never.

I’ve been to a few Cracker Barrels in the NY area. First time to this one. There were five of us for breakfast. My son(who is 17) wanted the chocolate milk. The server brought over two cartons of Tru Moo. Not really what he was looking for. We changed the drink and the server was gracious about it. The serving sizes were a great value for the price. I had pancakes with a blackberry compote that were very good. There was no wait for us. The server did forget part of our order, but was over with it in no time. Still a place I enjoy going to.

Best Cracker Barrel I have ever been too! I ordered the home style chicken breast and it was HUGE portion and soooo freaking good! Most of the sides are pretty bland but the meats and main meals are moist and perfect. By that chicken was life hanging. I also highly recommend the raspberry lemonade which is free refills. In total we ate 2 huge meals(with leftovers) a bowl of chili and some chocolates at the gift shop all for $ 35! Will definetly be back to this Cracker Barrel.

I have only eaten at 2 Cracker Barrel locations– one was in Indiana when I was visiting my sister and the other one was here in Sturbridge, on the way to a Boston Thanksgiving slash Adventure with my boyfriend. This particular location was packed to the brim on that holiday and they were serving a Turkey Day Prixe-fixe for $ 11.99 per person. Entrée + dessert + drink for $ 11.99! $ 11.99! I felt like I won the lottery. Anyway, the food servings were plentiful, filling, and hearty and our server was really sweet. Didn’t mind the long wait for seating since all Cracker Barrels have an adjacent store where you can shop and that’s exactly what I did ;)

I stopped at this location on my way back from a very stressful ride back from a business meeting in NJ. I was tired and hungry and then I saw the sign for this place. It was a quiet Tuesday night around 7:30 p.m. and the wait staff treated me well and kindly. Being a chain, the food is the same and standard but that can be comforting when you need a road break. I love their biscuits(not so much the corn bread) and you can not go wrong with most of the sides.

Haven’t eaten at a Cracker Barrel in many years. First time to eat at this one in Sturbridge, Ma. The food was good, service was good but very slow. I will eat here again when I’m craving comfort food. The biscuits and corn muffins are very salty and not much flavor.

New seasonal dessert on the menu now — pumpkin custard n’ gingersnaps is the best thing you can find on the road. For entrée, I tried the pot roast with mushrooms for the first time and it was hearty and delicious. Special thanks to Michelle M. for a fantastic and friendly service. You made my road trip that much more enjoyable.

Very busy, very Cracker Barrel, staff was great and food was consistent. Safe bet. Watch for tour buses, seems to be a stopping point. Get caught behind one of them and the wait can triple.

If you’ve eaten at as many Cracker Barrels as I have over the years, you will appreciate when I say that this is the best of the Cracker Barrels. The service was very slow but the server was just lovely and friendly. The food tasted wonderfully homemade — nothing chewy or greasy or «institutional.» Sorry, Cracker Barrel, but you know what I’m talking about when I refer to standard Cracker Barrel dining. I don’t know what Sturbridge is doing differently but it really works for me. I submit this review with only a limited amount of shame, because when you have small children who are in the phase where they prefer foods that are prefixed by «Mc-» and you have ruthlessly cut from your repertoire all establishments featuring«Mc-» and«King» and red-haired freckled mascots, then Cracker Barrel is a perfectly reasonably priced alternative. Then when the kids are a little older it’s comfort food for them so you never truly outgrow Cracker Barrel, do you? No, I’m not being defensive. You are.

Came in for breakfast after 10 hours on the road. Nice relaxing place to stretch your legs and enjoy a hearty country breakfast. Only 2 complaints are; the«cooks» can not properly cook an egg to order… Everything comes out ‘over easy.’ Stay away from the sausage gravy, it tastes TERRIBLE!

All Cracker Barrels are the same, Amazing! I’ve never found one where the food, service, or the gift shop were lacking comfort and nostalgia. Cheap but definitely delicious country southern cooking. After eating one meal here you’ll be set for a full day.

Food was very good, as well as the service. Didn’t take long to get our meal. We would definitely come here again.

It’s just OK. OK in every sense of the word. If it was anything but just OK– like if it was daring, cutting edge, revolutionary or palate shocking, CB’s key demographic would likely all have strokes and keel over in their Rascal Scooters. Killing off your best customers is not good for business. I don’t have an MBA or anything… but I’m guessing. So I expected my steak to be just OK. It was a little tough and a bit undercooked. My wife’s grilled chicken plate was just OK. Tasty, but comprised of cheap little tenderloins and not breast meat. There were glimmers of greatness in the cheese grits and baked apple sides, but these were appropriately tempered with tiny, non-threatening portion sizes. Even the excitement factor of the giant checkers game outside by the rocking chairs was mitigated so as not to overstimulate. There was a piece missing from each side. Just one… which doesn’t quite render it unplayable… so you’re OK. I will say the servers are all very sweet and I bought a gigantic Hershey bar on the way out(which was slightly better than OK– but I give credit to the chocolate company for this, not Cracker Barrel). Overall, this is just an average, non-threatening stage for a standard play featuring undistinguished fare fit for the old, the frail, the bored, the boring and those arriving late to the hotel across the street too lazy to find an alternative.

Havent been to Cracker Barrel in more than a year. Was nice to stop back in and have a very decadent breakfast. I had the Uncle Herschel breakfast and was quite full at the end! I recommend that people choose the apple butter because its always too delicious to pass up. I ordered sweet tea and it was like liquid candy. I lived in the deep south a LONG time so i know what southern sweet tea is like. I think someone added too much to this batch. See the included pics for details.

The Sturbridge Cracker Barrel is a great place for families. The country store is so awesome, they sell everything from housewares to burts bees to clothes. The menu is pretty good as well, and the option to order breakfast all day is excellent. The restaurant is overall a nice place to go if you are in the area.

The usual experience at Cracker Barrel. The food was hot and had the usual over salted and caloried taste. The store was clean and the staff was very friendly. We tried the double chocolate coca-cola cake. It was the best thing on the menu, I recommend it. It was served warm and paired perfect with the scoop of vanilla ice cream. We didn’t receive the best of service from our server but that happens anywhere on occasion.

Cracker Barrel offers good old fashioned comfort food. It’s consistently good no matter which one you go to and the staff is always friendly. As if they’re big portions wouldn’t sell anyone up, they also serve homemade biscuits and corn muffins with their meals. For those who wish everyday was Sunday, they serve breakfast all day too. THEDEAL: they offer a country’s door at the entrance to every restaurant, where you can shop while you wait for your table. Although there is rarely a wait because the service is so fast, I’ve never left the shop without some retro candy or a toy.

I smile whenever I walk into this Cracker Barrel. No mater how tired and cranky I am from driving, they are always kind and welcoming. It doesn’t matter if it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner or just picking up an olde timey snack for the road. They are fabulous. If you want to sit near the fire during the winter, they do their best. If it’s not busy and you want one of the specials from another night, they at least ask in the kitchen to see what they can do. They bring refills without being asked. They think of things a tired, hungry person wants. They are great.
