For the past 10 years there is no one else I will let touch my hair but the master of hair Monique. I’m on tough cookie and if anyone can make me happy it’s Monique. I have been brunette, blonde, black and anything else you can think of! She does it all. My extensions are amazing, no one ever knows that I have them!

I am proud to say that I’m one of Monique’s very first clients, so this review is WAAAYYYY overdue (my bad). Monique has been beautifying my hair for over 12 years (at least)! She is a talented colorist, stylist and extensionist (the best). Monique truly does listen to and fulfill each client’s particular needs. She never tries to «sell» you on any service and clarifies any potential additional costs up front. No surprises! She is always on time and always allots each client enough chair time to never feel rushed or overlap with other client appointments. When I gripe about my stupid hair issues, she freely shares at-​home hair care suggestions and recommends hair care products for home use — and these are not products she’s selling or pushing in any way! I love her peaceful «private» room (no suffering amongst other clients’ and beauticians’ personal problems and obnoxious cell phone calls). Parking is free and plenteous. When I leave there, I feel like I’ve had a spa day (and I look amazing)! Love you, Monique!!!

Monique is the BEST stylist. Let’s break it down, shall we?
* First, easy to schedule and free parking. Shall I continue? You can schedule with her via text so there is no having to take time out of your day to call and wait on hold. I’ve texted her at 11 at night. I’m sure she loves that. And not only is there free parking, but it’s in the same lot as Marshall’s, so after you get your hair did, go pick up some designer duds on the cheap to complete the I-​look-​like-​a-​million-​bucks look.
* Second, she knows what looks good and can explain it to a 5^th grader, or in my case, a 33 year old with the beauty skills of a 5^th grader. She had me blow drying my hair and looking like a full-​blown sexy adult with just one haircut session’s worth of pointers. The difference was night and day. I might owe her part of my paycheck for my promotion because I’m pretty sure the new haircut and style was a factor.
* Third, your hair looks gorgeous when she’s done. She is a master. Not only is the cut and styling perfecto, but it lasts for a long time. Since she uses the highest grade hardware, you can go a very long time with no split ends.
* Fourth, she’s always got an eye out for improvements. If you’re in the mood to change or enhance your look a bit, she has all the tools and the ideas.
* Finally, she has a great attitude. She’s always friendly and happy to see you.

Somewhat new to LA and I used to be an Aveda only salon gal until I found Monique. Her coloring is amazing! I arrived today with long overdue roots and an auburn-​ish shade. Left the salon with a GORGEOUS new chocolatey shade and a perfect cut. She gave me a nice trim/​shaping and somehow my hair looks longer. Not to mention she is an awesome human all around. Make an appointment, youll be hooked :)

Monique is the best and her work is stunning. As I have gotten older my hair has gotten thinner and thinner, to the point where it was making me really unhappy. Monique’s extensions fill it out beautifully– no one can tell that my hair is «supplemented», and I feel younger and prettier. It’s wonderful! Monique is flexible with her scheduling, and will always work hard to get you in when you need her. She is fun to talk to, and really cares about her clients. Overall an exceptional experience!

I have been faithfully going to Monique for over a decade. She introduced me to the world of extensions and I haven’t been without them ever since. I have very thin hair with stubborn grays and cannot grow it long anymore. Monique really knows how to apply extensions that are unreadable and match my hair type. She also researches the latest in products and hair color that uses healthier ingredients which I really appreciate because of my skin sensitivities. I would recommend Monique to anyone who wants great hair care and extension options. I always feel amazing when I leave her chair.

I started going to Monique a few years ago, and I have not gone to anyone else ever since. She knows how to cut really long hair and I always love her blowouts. She also happens to be very fun to be around. Whenever I go see her, I feel like we picked up where we left off. I LOVE her!!!

Where do I begin… for over a decade I have had the pleasure of Monique transforming my hair into a piece of beautiful art. I was diagnosed with lupus a few years ago and have to say that she has managed to make all my hair frustrations and insecurities disappear the moment I sit in her chair. She always finds a way, even on my hardest days, to make me feel gorgeous. Her technique with color and Extentions are unmatched. I have recommended her to countless friends and colleagues… who have fallen in love with her as well And have been long time clients like myself. Monique is a beautiful person inside and out. She really is the best in the business, using top of the line products and educating herself and clients about the latest advances in the industry.

Monique has done my hair for 10 years now. She does great color and blowouts! I have a lot of hair and it’s pretty long. She makes it look really good! I love how she is always researching the best products and staying up to date with new techniques and styles. I always feel comfortable in her space and she is very time efficient, which a really appreciate.

I probably should have Unilocaled years ago but here I go! I’ve been going to Monique for about six years now. I have followed her from different salons. She cuts and colors my hair and I wouldn’t go to anyone else. She does a great job and I’m always happy with my cut and color. She styled my hair for my wedding last year, and that should say it all. I have referred many people and they are always happy with her work. I’m not a natural blonde and I have strong gray hairs, but Monique colors it beautifully and I get a ton of compliments. I also appreciate her honesty. I have an appointment in two weeks and I’m looking forward to it!

I agree with the consensus — Monique IS the best. I have been going to Monique since I moved back to LA 4 years ago, and she continues to impress me. My hair was weak and broken, and she not only created a healthy look with beautiful extensions, but she also nursed my own hair back to full health in the meantime. She is a stellar hairstylist and extension perfectionist, but more than that, she has become a good friend. I look forward to my appointments with Monique. HIGHLY recommend.

I can’t say enough great things about Monique. I am notoriously terrible about getting my hair done so I tend to go way too long in between appointments but Monique manages to do my highlights in a way that looks natural as they grow out. She is amazing with color and I always love how I look. Not only is she great with hair, she is fun to talk to and I really look forward to getting my hair done with her.

I recently moved and will now drive 2 – 3 hours each way, just to continue to have her as my hair stylist. When I first came to her, my hair was so damaged, broken off, and brittle. She used her color magic to completely transform my hair — it’s never been so healthy and long! I initially went to her to give hair extensions a try — and I am hooked! The colors she chooses look so natural and identical to my hair color, and they last for a long time. The way she applies the extensions, and eventually removes them, never once damaged or ripped out my hair. I even had Monique do my hair for my wedding, as well as all my bridesmaids. She did a flawless job, and I am very happy with the way my hair looked on such a special day! She’s amazing, and I would never trust anyone else with my hair!

Monique is the absolute best! Not only is she an amazing stylist, but she’s an awesome person. Monique is a stylist who listens and cares. She is good and I mean really good at what she does. Her hair extensions will never damage your hair. Monique is quite the find! After years of searching for the right hairdresser, I have finally found my home. She is a master at color and gave me exactly what I wanted after so many other hairdressers gave me what they wanted. Monique listens, understands and gets it right.
She speaks directly and will tell you the truth. Her haircuts get compliments even when grown out and ready for the next trim.
But what makes Monique so wonderful is her ability to make her clients feel so special. She is a wonderful, interesting, talented woman and easy to spend time with. She delights in making her clients happy. And happy I am! Finally!

I finally found a hair home with Monique at Salon Republic. I have tried everything from an $ 8 haircut in a strip mall to unremarkable mid-​ranged $ 75 cuts to Cristophe in Beverly Hills and the Elizabeth Arden Red Door salon in Midtown, NYC. Salon Republic is my favorite.
First is the set-​up. I’ve never seen a place like this. Each stylist has their own room, which they decorate to really reflect their personality. I was instantly impressed that my stylist had a Keurig in her room. Monique was recommended to me by a friend who always has fantastic hair. My friend told me that Monique was honest with her if she didn’t think something was a good idea, and since my friend always looks great, I figured I’d trust Monique and only give her general direction.
I went with long layers and a slight ombré (I was scared). I’m attaching a photo. Gorgeous, right? The price is awesome for the results. I’ve been there four times now, and I absolutely trust Monique with my hair. No more searching for a salon. Yay!

She sells Label M which I have fallen in love with and she also puts tinsel in my hair which I am now going to do for the rest of my life!
