Don’t go to the Stoughton store… the guy in there is so RUDE! I ordered three lobster sub sandwiches over the phone, when I arrived I saw that the medium was too small for my husband and asked him to change it to large. He said he had already made two of the subs — ‘what did I want him to do with it? Throw it away?’ Did he ever hear of ‘up-selling’ a customer? I was up-selling myself, by wanting a larger sub. Not only did he lose the ‘up-sell’, but I walked out and didn’t buy ANYTHING from him. I drove straight to the Canton D’Angelo ordered THREE large lobster subs — for $ 70 and they were delicious! I will NEVER spend my money at the Stoughton store and ALWAYS go to the Canton store… maybe it is the same owner, but much better service! I HIGHLY recommend going to the Canton store!

Back in high school a group of my buddies and I went to D’Angelo’s every Friday after school, we called ourselves the«Steak Bomb Club» or SBC. D’angelo’s is a chain sandwich shop that exists only in the northeast; its direct competition would be Subway. D’angelo’s has a grill, which instantly gives it a leg up against other sandwich and sub shops, as the ingredients to its hot subs are grilled as opposed to microwaved(ugh). Anyways, the Steak Bomb is easily my favorite of all time. It combines spicy Capicola Ham and Genoa Salami with thinly sliced steak, mushrooms, peppers and onions, all topped off with melted Provolone Cheese. Because the meats and vegetables are cooked together, the combination of the greasy meats flavors and salts the mushrooms peppers and onions. The best part is there is enough filling to fill up the entire sub, and you don’t get left with a bite of just bread when you get to the end. If it does happen(although very rarely), you can always sop up the extra grease that drips off the sandwich! I’ve also tried other hot sandwiches including their Sirloin Tips, Number 9, and Double Peppercorn Steak. I haven’t tried their cold sandwiches; why would i go to a sandwich shop that has a grill to eat a cold sandwich when I can make one at home? The Sirloin Tips are tasty, but I find them easier to eat on a plate rather than out of a sandwich. The Number 9 forms the foundation of a Steak Bomb, but without the addition of the ham and salami. The Double Peppercorn was my second favorite sandwich, but is no longer offered. Prices are slightly higher than competitors, but the quality is far superior, and periodic coupons in weekly periodicals /on their website can knock off up 1 – 2 bucks off a medium and up to 3 bucks off the price of a large. For people with monstrous appetites, try tackling a Great Divide, the 29 inch version of any sandwich. Highly highly recommended.
