Best Galbi ever! I also love the kimchee jiggae. Service is good. Everything is made to order, so can be a little slow when they are busy, just plan ahead.

After overcoming the poor explanation of the offerings, I settled on Bulgogi based on the best photo sample. A Lunchbox size comes in an actual open top box. A tray insert has separate compartments which holds almost a «sampler» of foods. Not sure if this is unique to Korean BBQ but I’m sure you just want to know how it tastes… The answer is very good. Although served a bit cold, the food was fresh and healthy. Beef, onions, carrots and scallions served up in the largest portion. White rice as a side. Tempura shrimp and fried dumplings in another. Two small sweet and sour pork rolls to further the sampling. Kimchi and edamame as small appies. My hot green tea was hot thankfully. So, other than my food being cold, the flavors and freshness made up for it. I’m sure I’ll never be in Stevens Point again but I’d return here if your asking.

I eat here once or twice a month. It’s pretty hard to find an authentic Korean restaurant but this place is as real as it gets. I love simple lunch of spicy beef bulgogi with a side of veggie mandu. Price is fair but if you’re in a hurry call ahead because it can get busy during lunch.

Not very good. If it wasn’t so pricey, I would have chalked it up as mediocre Korean for not very much money. But, we ordered an Octopus lunch box for $ 16(!!) that contained extra chewy octopus. The shrimp tempura that comes with the lunch box was the saving grace. We also got the beef bulgogi, which was cold(as were many of the items in the lunch box). They kindly nuked it for us in the microwave, so we were able to enjoy $ 10 worth of leathery shriveled beef and kimchee. Awesome that there is a Korean restaurant in Point, but they seriously have to slash their prices in half based on the quality of their food.

Fantastic business! Excellent food, super clean, decent décor. Perfect for a nice lunch or casual dinner. FYI — I am from Chicago and travel to Asia several times per year so I am a tough reviewer. Again, perfect for upgrade lunch or lower end dinner.

Korean food! The bibimbap was great, though I ordered mine spicy and it came out quite tame. My wife had a squid dish that was excellent, though it could have used a bit more rice to go with it. The beef mandoo were great as well. My only real complaint was no side dishes, but the low price and lunch focus makes that perfectly OK. We were there for dinner, but I’m sure this would be a fabulous lunch spot. If they had been open when we passed through town again on Sunday we would have visited a second time.

Really, really good food. Decent prices. If you are a Korean connoisseur, you might be a bit critical as it’s not as good as some more expensive places I’ve been. But if you want really good, quick food, stop here! As a tip, if you have non-Korean-food-fans with you, this place shares a building with Jimmy John’s. We got the kids subs and my husband and I enjoyed our meals at Dosirak.

Atmosphere: I don’t really ask a whole lot for atmosphere for a fast-food location. The interior is small but they did well in making several seats available. Food: It’s difficult to find good quality ethnic food in the area so I would say that the food is pretty good but it costs quite a bit for the amount of food you get. My go-to choice is the bibimbap even though it’s quite a bit of money. Service: The service is pretty good and very fast! It’s easy to come in here for a quick lunch if you’re in a hurry. I’ve often gotten my food within 5 minutes after ordering. The people who work here are also very polite and I’ve never had an negative experiences. In summary: I’ve gone here a few times and although the food is tasty, you certainly have to pay a bit more than other places. I’ll definitely return when I have a huge craving for Korean food and won’t bother making it myself.

Solid Korean. Cannot compare to DC but its in Stevens Point, WI! It would be a GREAT place for those that doesn’t know much about Korean food to try it. I only had their bibimbap which was solid and a good«intro» to Korean food. For Stevens Point, it should get a 5 star. I cook Korean at home and often get Korean when I head back to DC but if you are anywhere near here and want to try something«different», I would most definitely try Dosirak, it will be a fun experience to try a new cuisine and they do a good job of representing Korean!

Korean nirvana in Stevens Point? No way!!!’ And yet, it’s true! I just had the best Korean boxed meal this side of Seoul… Seriously! I’ve been to Seoul and this stuff is seriously good. I tend to travel for work, but this time, I was on vacation with the family driving through Wisconsin with a short overnight in Stevens Point. Hoping that I could find something other than Perkins and Culvers, I whipped out my Unilocal app and found a rare five star rating just blocks away for Korean food. Incredulous, I had to taste to believe … And left a total believer. Hubby and I got the beef and salmon lunch boxes respectively(and i forced him to share). Each box came with the meat of choice, rice, dumplings, shrimp tempura, edamame and sweet and sour chicken… And everything was spot on. The tempura was crispy and not oily, the dumplings while small were a burst of savory deliciousness. The rice was the perfect type of slightly sticky goodness… And best of all, the meat. Perfectly cooked salmon with just the right amount of Korean BBQ sauce. This is a winner for the ages. I would even take a detour to incorporate this place into any Wisconsin route— yeah, it’s that good.

It’s been a tradition to eat at Dosirek every time we’ve come to Steven Point for years. We love the food and service there. Haven’t found a equal in our travels. The lunch box choice is a complete flavor feast and plenty enough if you’re hungry. All made to order and it comes out piping hot. It’s the owner’s birthday today. It felt festive to walk in to happy birthday being sung in Korean. She brought out some fresh cut watermelon and it was the perfect end to another great experience. Check out the Korean imported candies and snacks that the owner gets as well. Do yourself a favor and check this treasure of a find.

Great place to grab dinner! My boyfriend and I each got a lunchbox to go, they were about $ 9 each. The amount of food you receive for the price is very generous. I got the Bulgogi lunchbox. It came with the Bulgogi beef, rice, edamame, tempura prawns(which were my favorite item, could’ve eaten just those!) some dumplings, and two tempura chicken bites. All of the food was delicious and fresh! Will definitely be back.

Wow I finally found this place open today, last time they were closed. Wow was this place worth waiting for. The place is nice looking and the woman tried to explain the food but there was a communication problem. She tried very hard so I just pointed to pictures. I opted for the Korean lunch box for the variety. Since I don’t know Korean food I will try explain. My box had spicy beef and vegetables, shrimp tempura, pea pods, sweet and sour chicken, fried dumplings and a dipping sauce. Everything was very good. The shrimp tempura was my favorite. The spicy beef was really good as well. My only problem was the grilled pea pods because they were like eating whole sun flower seeds so threw the shells away and ate the peas. The peas had good texture because they were not mushy and cooked to death. Overall I really liked the food and I am sorry that I can’t get to it more because I don’t live in Stevens point. This was a great place and I can see why they have all the stars they do. I will post detailed pictures.

This place was my favorite when I was in Wisconsin for a year. Not only close to Pray-Sims resident, it also makes great quality Korean food. I was here for he bulgogi set with rice and dumplings and shrimp tempuras. It was the best korean lunch box I have ever tried! And I loved their stew. It was spicy right at the level I love without me telling them. As a broke university kid, I found some items were overpriced but the food is fresh and tasty. The restaurant was small but warm and cozy. I loved to come here especially during those cold days(you know how bad the winter is in Point). The owner is extremely friendly and always greeted us with a smile. Even though I’m in Canada now, I always find myself craving for their spicy and flavourful stew. I’m planning to come back soon and this place will be the first place I will visit for lunch or dinner!!!

I didn’t even wait to finish the meal before leaving this review, that is how little I cared about finishing this food. Went to Dosirak to grab lunch to bring home to my family. The food took 25 minutes to come out, which isn’t a huge deal as long as the food is worth the wait. It was not. The bibimbap was barely warm and tasted faintly of the plastic container in which it came. The dumplings were warmer but the taste wasn’t great, and the container of dipping sauce had just over a teaspoon of sauce in it. The bill was over $ 27 for the two regular bowls of bibimbap and the dumplings; not at all a good value. I’m disappointed as there aren’t many different ethnic foods in the area but this was not worth the time or money.

The food is often overcooked and with such small portions, the high prices are hard to justify. They should drop their prices by at least $ 1 per dish. A bowl of white rice, beef shavings, and a few carrots slices for $ 8? You get less food than the $ 6 lunch special at Chinese restaurants. The quality seems to be dropping as well. My in-laws and I had dinner there once with a small pot of weak brown rice tea(yuck!) that could barely be shared among the four of us. When we asked for a refill, our waitress simply poured warm(not hot) water into the pot with the same used tea bag. This resulted in even weaker tea. Boo!

The Bibimbap is good and if I lived here would come back but I can’t get past the price, quantity and lack of sides. I’ve eaten Korean around the country and this is the most I’ve ever paid for this dish, a slightly smaller version than I usually see and the first time I’ve not been served side dishes of assorted pickled vegetables which always make Korean food a real treat. I did spend an extra $ 5 and got some kimchi and it is some of the best I’ve ever had.

Surprising find in Stevens point. I had the hot pot spicy beef which was delicious. The beef bulgogi was tasty as well. The veggie dumplings were a good appetizer. The Korean sodas made a nice treat — even the yoghurt milk soda was good. Only item that we wouldn’t order again was the pork dumplings. Great, authentic Korean food in the northern tundra — who woulda thunk it!

First time trying Korean food, and I really enjoyed it! The lady working at the counter was super friendly and helped me pick out a dish to try – pork bulgogi lunchbox. While I learned that I am not a particular fan of edamame, everything else was quite good – the main dish of meat and veggies with rice, shrimp tempura and sweet & sour chicken. I got the tamest spice rating they offered and will happily try something with a little more kick next time. Very cool to find this place in a part of the city that is mostly your standard fast food joints!
