Nursing center I have had two relatives there for a while and they both did very well, and actually got more care than at the assisted living centers. Everything looked clean and my only complaint is that it was hard to find someone to ask about the patients. Both patients were got up out of bed and participated in some activities and seemed to do better there, but went back some in condition after being released.

the most confusing hospital to try and navigate through. I would reccommend going to Davis Regional or Lake Norman Hospital!

Okay, I’m a healthcare professional and my hubby is a healthcare professional, so let me say right off that we probably have kinda high expectations, but we also have a better understanding than the average Joe of how a hospital functions aand what delays to expect. We arrived approx 7pm on a Saturday night for ER treatment oof my infant son. The admit staff was friendly, the wait for triage was short. Our initial nurse was pleasant but rushed. We were then handed off to another nurse who was condescending and didn’t feel the need to include the parents in his stream of thought. Thus, I was quite amused when he was sprayed not once, but four times, w/very sticky meds by my son. Dr. Watley, triage, was expedient and very personable, however, after diagnostics we were moved to a room and passed to a PA. In the room we were visited by a nurse. She did not knock, ID herself or wear a name badge. We had to repeat everything for the new nurse and PA. Although I voiced my concerns about strep, they did not/would not culture the baby. They sent us home w/a generic diagnosis of Upper Respiratory Infection and amoxacillin that we «don’t need to have filled but should keep in case…» That night the baby’s fever skyrocketed. It took nearly ONEHOUR on hold to get anyone from the ER on the phone. On Monday I took my still sick infant to his pediatrician and guess what??? He has strep. The amox isn’t the best way to treat and he wasn’t even properly dosed. Come to find out, the two times my neighbor took her child to that ER, she was misdiagnosed, too. Long story longer: go to Charlotte or Winston for pediatric ER care.
