This place is great! The waiter was wonderful and attentive! My husband and I went on a Thursday night, everything we ordered was made fresh. We had stuffed clams, stuffed mushroom, paella and penne vodka. The sangria was great as well!

I live around the corner from this place. This spot only good for a random night to have a couple of beers. They do not have bartenders on site. They just serve drinks. As a precaution i encourage you to order bottle drinks only.

Just keep driving! Not worth it! Go someplace else! My husband and I wanted to try this place out for a while. We arrived on a Friday night at 7:00 and the place had two other couples seated. One person was bartending and waiting on tables but it wasn’t crowded so we thought nothing of it. My husband order the $ 20 prix fixe dinner meal that came with a sangria or wine, choice of 2 appetizers, choice of 4 main entrees and a dessert. Great deal! The sangria was on point! Best I ever had! My house salad came and… amazing!!! I wanted to know what the house dressing was?! We were impressed and couldn’t wait for the main meals and my husband’s baked claims. BOYDIDWEWAIT!!! My husband’s appetizer didn’t come out with my salad and came an hour and a half after we ordered!!! We asked 3 times and the arrogant waiter/bartender seemed annoyed and impatient. Finally he got his baked clams and no apology. 30 minutes after the appetizer and two hours from when we ordered our main entrees came. They looked amazing! We were starving! The waiter said, «It’s worth the wait»! I hoped so! My husband’s chicken with pasta was just ok and my flank steak looked good but it was soooo chewy! Didn’t seem like it was a «flank» steak. The sides of peppers, onions and rice was good so I stuck with eating that. The portions are big and we had leftovers but left them there!!! At 9:30 tired and annoyed, we asked for the check and if we could have the dessert that came with my husbands prix fixe dinner to go and what the choices were? He said, «chocolate or vanilla??» What!!! Those were the dessert choices!?? The bill came and he tried to charge us separately for my husband’s items not the $ 20 prix fixe. There is no POS system, so the math is done by hand. That took forever for him to recalculate! As I explained to him the mistake, he seemed annoyed and rushed me saying, «ok ok ok I know!» We paid the bill, left the food and ice cream and a lowest tip. Place is whack! Service is horrible!!! Food is not Staten Island worthy. If you want Spanish cuisine there are way way better places on the island then this place! Geez!

Bottomline — Do not go. Ever. Never Ever. I haven’t wrote a review in quite sometime and I really hate writing a negative review. Every now then an experience is so poor that I just have to save my fellow foodies. It’s Friday. I’m ready for dinner out after a long week. Let’s try out a local spot, support my neighborhood and small businesses. Well, I was in for a rude awakening. To start — Décor was just aiight — dimly lit and shakey tables. But, it didn’t stop me, I frequent tons of joints in Chinatown and the décor might suck but the food rocks. Attempted to order a few apps, chorizo of course, calamari and some garlicky shrimp. I’ll take a margarita on the rocks with salt. Oops — we don’t have chorizo? You don’t have chorizo? Is this a tapa joint on Friday? Sign #1. For our entrees — we ordered a skirt steak and lamb shank. Well… 15mins in… Drink comes. Where my salt? Upon inspection, I see they sprinkled table salt. I was a good sport and say screw it. It was ok. Sign #2… Hmmm. 30mins in… No apps… 40mins in… Waiter comes and says, sorry we have no lamb shank. WTF! We walked out.

No stars at all! Terrible management!!! They had the nerve to cancel a party of 14 an hour before our reservation time stating that the kitchen burned down!!! You guys lost out not us cause we found a better restaurant to accommodate us! You guys are terrible!!!

This place doesn’t know how to honor a reservation. Called us last minute to tell us the back room burned down. 14 person reservation. You guys are ridiculous.

Came here for the hookah and it was absolutely terrible. Was in the mood and this is the only place in the neighborhood. Decided to give it a try and was extremely disappointed. First the guy that gave us the hookah, although he was nice, had no idea what he was doing. He gave us the smallest hookah they had not realizing they had larger ones in the back. And didn’t even bother to change the coal for us. When I asked for a new coal he brought us an unlit coal. Don’t come here unless you feel like paying to make your own hookah. On top of that it came out to 25 $ for it not counting the drinks. You can get a nice fruit bowl hookah anywhere else on the island for less than that and they change the coals for you! Do not come here if you know anything about hookah because you will be disappointed. Unfortunate because this place does have potential but unless they learn how to properly serve hookah they shouldn’t even bother offering it.

Terrible. Bad food, bad service, stale mushrooms, greasy sausage, sangría made with cheap wine. Never again …

Great place to hang out for a while. My sister and I ordered a bottle of sangria and hookah. We stayed quite a bit as well, we probably spent 3 hours at the bar. We were still smoking the hookah, but had finished our wine. We ordered a cold tapas plate and the bartender topped off our glasses of wine on the house. A man at the bar also made polite conversation with us. We had a great time.

Definitely a north shore gem! After a casual night out with girlfriends We concluded that its a favorite. The vibe +++. The homemade sangria and hookah ++ Service was genuine and the exceeds expectation. Can’t wait to return for a dinner review soon.

I’ve came here a couple of times. I can only speak for the drinks and hookah. Wish were both great. The décor is amazing, sometimes theres a live band to spice up the place, and the service is great.

Interesting… came here for lunch and the only thing I wanted(fried calamari) wasn’t available leaving me to try some new ish… I tried it… hot & cold tapas(stuffed mushrooms, sausages, cheeses etc)…won’t be trying that again. I’ll stick to what I know. Excuse me Ms. can I have a cloth napkin… I’m sorry we ran out… ummm k. Ms. can we have some olive oil for the bread… You want olive oil? Ummm yea… I usually love bread but not when it’s cold and hard… why? Why ruin the one thing I know I shouldn’t have but want and need at this point to make it through the rest of my day… this isn’t fair… perhaps it’s a sign I shouldn’t be eating bread… On another note this is a cute little spot.

We went for a birthday party for my niece. We were a party of 14 so, they sat us in the lounge area. We had the room to ourselves, which was nice. Most of the family was happy with the tapas, they looked tasty. I ordered the paella which I was looking forward to and was majorly disappointed. The shrimp was over cooked and dry and the rice was watery. I guess after having real paella you have to know you need hours to cook it, and frankly, it shouldn’t even be on the menu. The service was pretty good. We had a very nice waiter. I may go back however, I will never order the paella again.

First the Good: The place had a charming décor. The bar looked like it had a nice selection. The Bad: The food we ordered was garbage. I could have boiled a piece of chicken and poured store bought salsa over it and it probably would have tasted better, very disappointed. Because this is a Staten Island restaurant my hopes weren’t too high but after hearing some good things, I was definitly expecting more than this. To be fair, it may be that they were just having a bad night but I don’t really want to try again.

OK-ish at best. First of all, name is rather misleading. They don’t really have true Tapas menu. It’s old school spanish restaurant, and while I appreciate all the staples, nothing was memorable or particularly interesting. Sangria was just OK. Bread was sub-par supermarket kind. Ceviche was disappointing, did not taste like fresh seafood at all — more like pre-cooked and drenched in acidic marinade. Tilapia main was bearable, but spices overwhelmed this delicate fish. I also agree with previous reviewer, all tables in front of the house catch bad draft from the door, and on cold winter day it really rubs you the wrong way. I did appreciate coupon cards they offer, but I am not sure I will be back.

went to hookah at tapas last night and actually had a great time. It was Super Bowl Sunday and pretty much dead. There was maybe ten customers the couple hours my friend and I were there. Anyway, the hookah was good and the staff was super friendly. The only downside was it was a bit pricey. It cost $ 5.00 for a new coal and I know other hookah lounges don’t charge for that. They did give us one on the house though which was super nice. Also, other hookah lounges MAKE you buy a drink, and tapas didn’t which was a plus. We did end up getting drinks and the Malibu Bay Breeze tasted amazing. Definitely my new chill spot in my neighborhood.

If I could give this place zero stars I would but I can’t review without it. Let’s start out by if you go out on a cold day expect to be freezing. The bread they served was Ice cold! Sangria was ok. I got a apple salad with goat cheese which tasted like vinegar. I couldn’t even enjoy it and did not finish. Next was the crab cake which tasted like tunafish out the can and was over cooked on one side and under cooked on the other, it was really horrible. I would have enjoyed a can of tuna over it. My friend got fried calemari which was very rubbery. So I will not be coming back.

I was a little disappointed. We were seated in the front, near the door, so we got a draft. This was after asking where we wanted to be seated, then told the front was better. The menu is okay. They have a tasting menu for a fixed price, which seems like a pretty good deal if you’re really hungry. We tried the patatas espanolas, which we thought were going to be potatoes, but were french fries with dressing. Very disappointing. We also tried the hot tapas, the avocado & goat cheese and the black bean soup. It was just the right amount for us. Parking can be annoying and a little too dim inside. I’m not really dying to go back. Another okay place.

A lot of potential here. Some highs and lows. Let’s talk about my wife and I’s experience. First thing you’ll notice is there was one lone server. This guy was handling about 6 – 7 tables by himself on a weeknight. That includes the bar as well. He was sweating and panting because he was working so hard. As much as I empathized with the guy, it’s very distracting to try and relax and eat a nice meal while someone is breaking his back that hard in front of you. Management should recognize that and at the very least staff a bar tender. Jeesh. Next is the patronage, not exactly on the restaurant to choose who comes to their restaurant, but I did notice the jackass next to us talking to staff as if he knew them. He was yelling at his female companion to the point where he almost brought her to tears. I was one more outburst away from getting up to say something. It was awkward, luckily they«made up» and left about half way through our meal so we could actually enjoy ourselves. Food… Reasonably priced Tapas. The Octopus dish that was served on Garlic Bread was absolutely delicious! It could be served in any restaurant in New York City. It was remarkable actually and I don’t even remember ever eating Octopus before, just tried it on a whim. Everything else was decent, but I guess forgettable. The potato tapas(forgot the name but it’s one of the first on the menu) was literally just generic steak fries with some sort of sauce splashed on them. That particular Tapas was really cheap, but come on guys, you can do better. It tasted fine, but that’s because steak fries taste fine. Totally lacked creativity. Remove that, it gives a bad impression. Their deal on Tapas confuses me. $ 25 for all you can eat Tapas, but that’s PERPERSON. So I don’t understand this. Me and my wife ate 3 plates of different Tapas for about 25 bucks. If we got all that you can eat we’d be spending 50 and have way too much food. Maybe I’m missing something. Pass. So the food has incredible potential. The décor was promising. The location is great. The server we had, while totally over worked was nice. But…some of the dishes are suspect, they need to staff better and they need to do a better job of keeping order in their restaurant. I felt a sense of chaos on an underlying level in there. All told, I’d come back, that is if I don’t get lured to Beso instead.

Went here with friends last week and it had to be the worse experience ever. We went around 330pm on a Friday and it was completely empty but we still got the WORSESERVICEEVER! There was a guy sitting next at the bar on his laptop and he looked like upper management. He was on the phone the entire time and gave us the hand signal to pick anywhere to sit. He didn’t give us the menu. We waited a few minutes until I got annoyed and I played hostess since he was too busy on the phone to pay attention to his only customer. I got up and got the menu myself and then handed one to my friends. It was pretty sad. A server decided to finally come out from hiding and take our order drinks. All we order was water and we had to ask twice. Lets talk food. Appetizer came out quick. I can’t remember what it was called but it was the shrimp with paella cake. It was delicious! This place was starting to look good. SIIIIIKE! Our main course came out 35+ minutes after the appetizer. We were literally eating bread and bread because we were starving. Paella — Shrimp was over cooked. Taste okay, nothing special. Skirt Steak — Absolutely nothing special. The steak tasted plain as if there was nothing on it and was just topped with sauce. No flavor infused into the steak. I could’ve made it at home. We didnt even get a drink menu. One star for the appetizer.
