We had THE most unpleasant ride with Sal who literally word vomitted all over us for 20 minutes about his entire life (we sat there silently and he just continued talking at us), talked about owning 60 fire arms, and finally said some extraordinarily racist, derogatory, and offensive comments that made my skin crawl. I don’t think people this unstable should be allowed to operate cars, let alone firearms. Yikes… left the car shaken and traumatized.

To Elaine I want you to know 6 years ago your nite dispatcher sent me to Manhattan for a call that was pick up the night before i sat in the city for three hours for a call that was already picked up I wasted my gas your night dispatcher didn’t wanna pay me for the tolls this was your mistake he wanted to be a jerk so you screw me and I screw you back you me fuel also Brooklyn battery tolls and also the Verrazano bridge you didn’t wanna pay he said it was so cost me toll so I scraped off the registration and inspection if you were any kind of person you would have paid me the money talk about a real scum that wasn’t nice what you did from David Patterson ⁹⁄₂₀ /​2015

I have used them to go to the airport many times this summer. I had no problems with pick ups or with any of the drivers they even showed up at the airport on a pre-​booked pick up. I’m sure not every car service is perfect things happen but I recommend them

You reserve a car to pick you up at the airport and have to wait. I called when I landed and 55 mins later they show up. They’ve done this to me in the past. I figured I’d give them another chance. NEVER AGAIN… Your customer service is going to kill your business. To the snotty dispatcher. When someone calls you saying you are there you dispatch a car. It’s not rocket science.

The most disgraceful service and we were left behind. We called them to transfer us from Staten Island to JFK airport hotels area. Called once and rude fella on the phone (left no name and no booking confirmation). Then we called again 20 minutes after to see about the confirmation, and said «yes sure we will send it». Then didn’t arrive again, and when I called last: «I cannot do anything more for you. I have you here and I assure you will be picked up». Reservation confirmation was requested and again did not arrive.
Today, after more than 6 hours drive, called again and reservation was not made. Then the lady said «no problem, even though we don’t have you here we will send you one car at 6».
At 18h20 with no calls and no service we left. And they had the f****n balls to call at 18h45 to say (we are here and none is around).
Waste of time and lots of hassle. Thanks for nothing.

When you set up a pick up with this car service they never arrive on time. Two times I waited an hour for pick up and was greeted by nasty drivers.

Mid Island VIP Car Service offers a Lincoln Town Car from home to Penn station. The car arrived on time and our chauffeur was courteous and helpful. I was unable to carry our bigger luggage because of a recent rib injury but our driver readily got them from our home to the car then from the car to the station curb. The Lincoln Town Car was the older sleek style with that superb suspension that makes that car smooth; great for me as my injuries make any jolts painful.
The car was very clean and quiet and had fully functional seat belts; not always found in some car services and not to be taken for granted.
When we took a cruise earlier this year, we drove our car to Bayonne Harbor. The cost of parking for a week was not a real bargain vs the round trip limo. Lesson learned.
At our relative ages, it’s not so unwise to spend a few extra dollars and have less to worry over. Mid Island Car Service will be there waiting for us on our return home.

An absolute abomination of a company who has the word «service» in their job description. I usually use this company despite the fact I always over-​wait for a damn car. The jerk who answers the dispatch phone is a pig who always refers to me as «Hunny» or «sweetie». Anyhow, I called for a car to pick us up at a bar in Tottenville area going to Rossville. He said 20 – 25 minutes which I know to always be 45 – 60 mins but just asked for the driver to call me when he was outside. I never got a phone call, but 40+ minutes passed so we decided to go outside and wait. After waiting 10 minutes, my friend called them up and he placed her on hold and said the driver will be there in roughly 7 minutes. 15 minutes later, a call finally came. I told him where we are going and said we waited forever for the car. He mentioned that his dispatcher just told him to stop there 15 minutes ago. How convenient. We were told by the driver they needed to make a stop to pick up another party. I refused, since (1) it was way out of the way and in the opposite direction (2) was insulted they have nerve to tell me, not ask me, when he was so late and (3) I have the right to refuse sharing a cab. As per line item #10 in their Passenger of Livery guideline in the back of the vehicle. The driver seemed annoyed and said if I want to refuse picking up the other party I would need to call the dispatcher. Oh great! We called and told the dispatcher that we were upset that we waited much longer than expected for the car, the pick up location was way further than where I need to go, and overall we have the RIGHT to refuse the service. It’s like I was telling this jerk the rules of his own company. He said «whatever!» And hung up on my friend! Then comes on the radio (speakerphone) to the driver and said «forget the pick up, just take these bitches where they need to go». Are you fucking kidding me!!! The driver apologized for his boss’ behavior, and I really don’t know why we paid this company. But consider this the last time I EVER use them. Please use anyone else. Please!!!
