We had a GREAT time at dinner, party of 6. Teddy our server was fantastic! Teddy cooked my Steak Dianne and Bananas Foster tableside, both were incredible! The rest of the party ordered, steak, sword fish and Sea Bass. The only hiccup was the sword fish was very dry, they immediately offered to refire a new piece, but we chose to change to the sea bass which was delicious. What a great place, it’s kinda pricey but worth a special dinner! We will return!

Decided to have a nice steak dinner after a day of riding at Heavenly with friends and found Sage over at Harvey’s Casino. The location is a bit dark with an older casino feel to it(felt like a scene out of Goodfellas). The staff offered great service, very attentive, constantly refilling our drinks. I started with cesar salad. The dressing made table side was a nice touch, however the salad was not that great. A bit too spicy due to the Tabasco and ground pepper. For dinner, I ordered the special, a New Zealand Elk chop with a blackberry and jalapeño Demi glaze, which came with garlic mashed potatoes, and asparagus and carrots. The Elk wasn’t cooked evenly(asked for medium rare, parts were well). The mash came out cold. The carrots and asparagus was probably the best part of the dish.

We had an amazing romantic dinner here and didn’t even mind the $ 200 price tag. The ambiance is very nice, the service was top-notch and the food was to die for! They also have Banana’s Foster which is my husband’s favorite. The Caesar salad table side was also very cool! We will for sure be back next time we are in town.

Absolutely not the Sage Room you used to know. I had a terrible case of food poisoning thanks to this place. A local pharmacy told me they had heard this repeatedly from customers. There is a problem here. When I called a few days later I had to go through security(?) to issue my complaint. Seriously. Eat here and risk your vacation.

Everything was wonderful! We ordered the Caesar salad which was made table side, the filet mignon with peppercorn sauce, I had a baked potato and my boyfriend had the duchess potatoes, and sautéed mushrooms. It was all so delicious! I could have licked my plate. Even our drinks and bread were perfect. Our server Mark was also fantastic. On the pricey side, but you get a discount with your player’s card. We will totally be coming back!

This restaurant needs to be retired… Holes in the light coverings… Pictures falling apart… The food was adequate… But old and tiresome… Seriously in need of a new twist… the prices were very pricey and didnt match the 2.99 décor… Save your hard earned dollars…

We were very hopeful because it looked like it was going to be a great restaurant and my husbands steak was good but the French onion soup was not anything special and my steak actually had a bad smell to it so I sent it back and I couldn’t even eat anymore I have to say they didn’t charge me for it and they were very nice about it

I made reservation through Open Table a few days before our arrival. Our party of 4 wanted to eat dinner before the concert that night. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:20 only to be told that the power was out and the restaurant was closed. I asked why we weren’t notified and the gentleman told me «how can we notify you, we have no power?» Well this restaurant is located in the casino and there was plenty of activity with some of the slots and casino area. This left us in a scramble to find a restaurant prior to the concert. They offered no help. I cannot attest to the food but because of this incident and the way it was handled, I would not recommend or go back.

Been coming here for 15+ years and it was way different on Saturday night.!! Made reservations for a party of 13 which included 9 adults &4 kids… we sat down @ 8:30pm had a couple drinks while waiting to be seated and received the regular bread, butter, and water. As we’re all telling stories around the table and really not paying attention to time, my friend who is the reason we were there because of his birthday starts to ask his wife, «How long have we been sitting here». His wife asked him to hold there baby so she could check he phone and the time was now 10:05pm, we asked our waiter why have we not received any food and he said«Let me check with the kitchen». Another 15 minutes passed and now we’re all pissed that nobody has even paid any attention to our large party, the 2 youngest kids fell asleep at the table and now we start looking for the manager. The manager starts saying the same thing as the waiter and said let me check with the kitchen, it’s now 10;30pm and they start to roll our all the meals as everyone at our table are pissed off and already walking out the door. The manager now says to our entire party.“You all can sit and eat or you can leave” with no regard for anyone in our party, as he see’s kids being woken up at the table and one of my friends who wanted to put the manager through the wall. This manager NEVER came to our table, NEVER said I’m sorry, NEVER apologized for anything, just made us wait 2 hrs and basically told us you can eat your food or leave. I will make sure that anyone who plans to walk through that door to have dinner knows what kind of treatment we received and the kind of manager is in charge of what used to be a pleasant place to have a birthday dinner.

Worst food poisoning of my life. Ruined my entire bachelor party weekend. Leaving this review on the page that it seems they created recently as the other page has three stars. Service was not on par for the level of restaurant they promote. If both hadn’t been a problem, this would be four star review — but man — something is up here. After getting sick from this place, I’ve run into three other people who have a similar experience! Someone better investigate!!!

We went on a Saturday night at 8:15 and the restaurant was full, but they seated us in a little room to the back with three tables. The Casear salad was prepared at the table to perfection by our wait person. Then after our salad plates were removed we waited 45 minutes for the entry. Finally they did show. I had a steak ordered medium rare and my wife had the prime rib. Hers was good. mine had no pink anywhere in it. It was very dry and very disappointing after waiting so long for it to come. The baked potato was very good and that’s basically what I ate. The other veggie was one long sprout of broccoli and two slices of carrots. It was funny that they asked my choice of sides; if this«garnish» was supposed to be a side dish it failed! I doubt that I would go back or recommend this restaurant inside Harvey’s. When I voiced my displeasure to the wait person he apologized even though it was not his fault and sent us home with a slice of cheesecake. Nice touch on his part.

The food here was excellent and the service was great! Our waiter actually worked here for 38 years which says a lot about the establishment. I was very happy with my meal here and will definitely be back.

Save yourselves the disappointment and find another place to eat. There are many hidden gems within walking distance of the Casinos. The prime rib I ordered was improperly seasoned and unacceptably tough in the«eye» part. Not only that, it cost more than the exceptional prime rib places I’ve been to. The service here was also ridiculously bad. We had waiters try to clean up plates that we were still eating from at least three times. Summary: Mediocre food, lousy service, and overpriced.

Came here on a company ski trip and food expenses were covered, about the only good thing about this dining experience. The food ordered: scallop appetizer with some siracha sauce mix lobster bisque soup double lobster tail entrée — $ 16 bucks for THREE scallops made w/a base sauce that costs a few bucks for a big bottle, scallops on the slightly overcooked side. — Bisque was very salty, lobster bits were also very overcooked — One lobster tail from the entrée was very fresh and cooked perfectly, the other was not too fresh. When I told the waitress, she merely said she’d tell the kitchen, and that was it. Next time I’ll send the whole thing back. Broccolini that came with the dish was very fibrous. If you have trouble pooping, this could be good for you. If the dish were good, I’d say $ 50 is a good price. For $ 90+, you gotta be kidding me. — My cohort’s mashed potatoes were DRY, as if they had been sitting under the heat lamp for 10 minutes. With all the cream and butter that usually goes into mashed potatoes, this is unacceptable. Service: Not too much to praise. The waiter and bus girl REPEATEDLY came by and asked if I was done w/my sh! t when CLEARLY there was food left on the plates. Who TF does that in a classy restaurant? Admittedly, we got there late. Dinner was 9:45, but there were other patrons still eating there as well. Plates were off to the side, so maybe they actually thought I was done, but I doubt that. Apparently, another diner(James M.) had experienced the same premature plate removing service. We asked split the bill since we each had to keep receipts for expensing. Waiter got the orders split correctly which is a good thing, but he didn’t bother to take the little extra step to make sure we got the correct bills. When it came time to sign the receipts, again he didn’t bother to make sure we got the ones. I’ve had better service at less expensive places. Atmosphere: Ambience was good. The wood furnishings gave the place a warm and welcoming feeling. Lighting was on the dark side, perhaps to mask the age of the place? LOL If you really MUST have a fancy place to dine at, you can come here or try across the street at Harrah’s Friday’s Station Steak & Seafood, though one of my cohorts at that time wasn’t too impressed with the prime rib.

I had the pleasure of dining at The Sage Room for a celebration dinner. Our waiter was Cy, and everything was amazing. I had the French Onion Soup, Caesar Salad, Filet Mignon with Lobster, and Banana’s Foster. Service was impeccable. Our wine nor water were never empty. Cy made great recommendations off the menu and didnt seem bothered when we were there passed close. I would recommend this to anyone… dates, anniversaries, honey moons, Valentines Day… go!

Wow!!! The atmosphere is wonderful, the service is bar none. If you like spinach salad, this is the place to have it! Beat spinach salad I have EVER had! The main course was excellent as well. Will so return when we come back to Tahoe.

Steaks are a bit underwhelming… probably not aged, and the majority of the steaks or of USDA Choice quality(probably), judging by the fact that they have to charge nearly double for a Prime version. However… PRIMERIB. Oh my god. Their prime rib was DELICIOUS! Juicy, perfectly-cooked, and very well seasoned. You’ll be walking away with the«meat sweats’, but it’ll be so worth it. This is definitely one of the best prime ribs I’ve ever had. Trust me, skip the steaks and go with the prime rib. Oh yea, service was very attentive and great, as well. All in all, a fantastic meal.
