The Buffett was great, the views are spectacular. I’m going to say for the record the only way to get a better view of the mountains and the lake is to go up to the top of the mountains and look down but you won’t get all the yummy food and desserts that this buffet has to offer. It’s a little tricky to find you need to go into the casino find the elevators and go up to the 18th floor. I believe the restaurants open up at 5PM, perfect for a beautiful sunset. I don’t care how old you are this is a must see and do when you’re in the area.

This is a new bar that is located right outside the Forest Buffet. It has a Late Night menu that fills in the gap time from when the café closes(but note: Starbucks in the lobby is now 24 hrs). There is an insanely cheap«Traditional Breakfast» that is only $ 4.99. It includes 2 eggs, hash browns, sausage or bacon, and toast. There are also other bar fare such as chicken tenders, burgers, and sandwiches that are more regularly priced. When we were there, there was only one bartender on duty, and he had to make the drinks and wait the tables. When it got busy, it seemed overwhelming, but he handled it great. If you’re hungry in the middle of the night, and even the food court is closed, this is a good place to get some calories.

total tahoe secret. Hot tip: get top shelf drinks with a bad ass bartender for literally pennies if you play the e-poker game at the bar. Put in $ 20 but can just bet 25 cents per play and get free drinks! Who knows. You may even make money having the best drinks in Tahoe! $ 5 breakfast specials from 11pm to 6pm. The rest of the food is somewhat pricey, but good.

Visited the bar for my sister’s bday in the fall. The view is just breathtaking! We came during hh $ 6 appetizers! We had the fries, calamari and chicken wings. With their hh we couldn’t decide what cocktails to order. Thanks to the 2 bartenders who helped us that night. They whipped up some amazing drinks, there was a pink drink with a candy worm and we previewed their Christmas cocktail which included a candy cane. Overall the view, staff, and the hh specials really gives this bar a great ambiance! We’ve been back two more times since the 1st time and after coming back tonight MLK weekend. I definitely owe this place a great review.

It’s closed they are not doing happy hour. Bartender wasn’t very interested in telling us anything other than«we don’t do that anymore». Nice. Thanks a bunch for all of the information.

We saw an advertisement for the Highlander’s happy hour specials up on the big sign on the side of Harvey’s. It sounded like a great deal(2 for 1 drinks and $ 6 appetizers) so we headed inside. Apparently we didn’t pay attention to the last bit of the sign that indicated the Highlander is actually in Harrah’s, even though it’s being advertised on Harvey’s. We wandered around Harvey’s for quite a while until finally asking where it was. The bar is attached to the buffet and is pretty small. The bartender told us that the happy hour was relatively new and so far they’ve had a great response to it. They might want to consider expanding the bar area if it gets any more popular. There were only seats for half of our group the time we showed up. The 2 for 1 drinks aren’t limited to just a set list of drinks — it applies to anything that you want(beer, mixed drinks, etc.) The $ 6 appetizer list has a good variety — egg rolls, pot stickers, buffalo fries, calamari, and chicken wings. I tried both the pot stickers and the buffalo fries and enjoyed both. Definitely a nice tide-me-over until dinner later that evening. The bar has a great view of Lake Tahoe and I can see myself sitting there for hours staring out at the water. Glad our group made the effort to find the Highlander — it’ll be a spot that I’ll return to on my next trip up to South Lake.

This is one is definitely on of my favorite bars. You will meet the most friendliest people while enjoying tasty beverages and appetizers. My most favorite thing about the place is the breathtaking views of South Lake Tahoe.

If you want cheap late night eats in Lake Tahoe. This is the place to hit up. It’s located on the top floor of the Harrah’s Hotel and Casino on the 18th floor where the Forest Buffet is located. It’s located right before where the buffet is and is quite small. There are some bar tables and the rest is bar seating. I ordered the breakfast special which was only $ 5. For 5 bucks you got 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon or sausage. You can split and get half bacon half sausage or whatever combo you want. I chose bacon and you get a lot of bacon! I received at least 5 pieces, which is quite a deal. Had I known it came with so much bacon, I would had tried a sausage or 2. My brother ordered the chili cheese bowl which was quite large and our waiter said he had never actually seen anyone finish it — my brother was the first, lol. The offer some other items also, such as burgers and you can order drinks as well as it is a bar technically. There was only one person working. He was very friendly and a very hard worker. He took orders, brought food, cleaned the tables, made drinks, did it all himself. I admire those who work hard. The night we went, the place was packed. I don’t know if it’s normally slow. You can bet next time I’m in Lake Tahoe, I’ll come here for some late night breakfast eats! My brother and I ate for about $ 11! Our bellies were satisfied and my wallet was happy as well. I don’t know if you can order stuff to-go. We just ate everything there.
