Ok… this place was really really good to me this time around… the manager Ramon came, introduced himself, asked if we needed anything… really went out of his way to make us feel comfortable… they made sure our drinks were full, our food was good… the manager and the waiter really made us feel amazing… the fajitas were really good… ill be back for sure

I don’t think this place realizes, unlike its neighbors– it’s not closed down the fajitas were good, the beer was cold and the margarita was tasty but, I don’t think they wanted us to order any of it! We were there for a birthday celebration on the patio that was reserved-yet NOONE was happy we were there! Not the bartender the server the host or the manager. Knots should hire these people fort their Scary Farm Zombie exhibit! Seriously!!!

A coworker told me she went to Acapulco on Bristol and there were no Happy Hour appetizers. I told her that even tho there’s only about 5 items to choose from«my» Acapulco still had half price appetizers. Imagine my surprise when we sat down tonight to find no food specials. None at all! New happy hour menu says Tuesday thru Friday you get $ 3 off all appetizers but not on Monday. Looks like the appetizer prices went up too. The place was not packed and nobody was ordering food. So. used to have dollar tacos. Stopped that a long time ago. Used to have shrimp queso half price. Stopped that too. Long Beach used to have Karaōke. Stopped that too. I guess you can grab a couple of tacos at Del Taco across the street and go to Acapulco for the margaritas???

Awesome. I go here all the time. The food never disappointed me. Great menu, great drinks, pleasant atmosphere. Nice waitresses as well. Better then any Mexican food restaurant I’ve been to.

If I could leave negative stars I would. First off came on a Monday for Margie Monday told my Bro he couldn’t have the flavor he wanted. Then proceeds to tell us there 86 on wings. Server is cool just restaurant is a joke. I ask the bartender if In fact they were 86 on wings and he said and I quote«we ran out of alot of things today, and I’m surprised we’re even still open» I guess they have a chimpanzee in charge of inventory and the entire rest. I’m general. Stay as far away from this s*** hole as possible. In all of my experiences at acapulco this is probably by far one of the worst visits I have ever had.

I really like this location. I actually drive out of my way to go to this location versus the location that’s closer to my house. My suggestion would be to try their fajitas they’re my favorite as well as if you can go for a Margarita Monday their Margaritas are really yummy.

I don’t understand how this place has ANY stars at all. It is HORRIBLE. Run away as fast as humanly possible… Don’t walk– run!!! This is the worst establishment I have ever had the dissatisfaction of coming to. We decided to come here for Valentine’s Day(biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig mistake, and one that my boyfriend will never let me hear the end of as long as we live!) The fact that the place looked like a ghost town on this special holiday should have been my first tip-off. But I thought oh cool a place that’s not crowded. So we were seated in a booth and ordered a couple drinks. The waiter was extremely IMPATIENT with us while we flipped through the menu and sipped our mix drink/beer. He kept coming by the table and standing there waiting for our order and asking if we were ready yet. It was an uncomfortable number of times he did this in a short time period between visits. So we put in an order for the chips and guacamole thinking that would hold him off for awhile so we could enjoy our drinks. But we were wrong. He kept coming back insisting that we order RIGHTNOW. We weren’t even ready to order. Our chips and guacamole came and it was SUPER bland. Tasted like yesterday’s left over guacamole that they had put in a tuber-ware and served up as if it was«fresh.» We were wondering why they didn’t make it fresh at our table in front of us like other Unilocalers had indicated… Because it was day old crappy bland tasting guacamole. So at this point we are debating on just leaving and eating elsewhere because the appetizer and service had sucked already. Plus the drinks weren’t all that. Anyway, we discussed and figured we will just eat since we were already there and starving. The waiter was impatient and basically forced our hand and made us order without enough time to really decide what we wanted to try. We ordered a burrito and enchiladas. To sum this up it was the WORST meal we had ever eaten. I took one bite of my enchiladas and my stomach started to cramp up. I don’t know what it was but it did not agree with me. My boyfriend forced himself to eat his burrito but suffered the consequences later. Oh and my boyfriend had to get up and go to another table just to get us silverware to eat because the waiter never brought us any or grave a crap at all. Horrible horrible horrible. Staff is lazy and does not care about anything. Terrible service and food is disgusting. We didn’t even want to pay for the dog poop that was served on our plates. This is one of the WORST restaurants I have ever been to. Also, the place is pretty run-down inside. Needs a makeover inside, all new staff, and different management that actual give a poop about food service. Acapulco is now«that one disgusting Mexican restaurant that we went to on Valentine’s Day.»

Margaritas Mondays is the only reason I venture into this establishment. Combine with a decent happy hour menu and this place is on par with el torito in terms of water down Mexican food. The margaritas aside from being 90 percent ice are really good and addicting. Our waitress, Shasta was either having a really bad day or had the warmness of a meat locker. I hope we are treated more pleasant or next time I’m crossing the street to Del Taco for some real water down Mexican food.

I probably haven’t ventured into Acapulco in a couple of years, but I’m glad I got a random craving for it. The parking lot that this location is in is a little sketchy. In the corner theres broken glass everywhere like someone broke into a car. A lot of other businesses in the lot have closed down. The portions are huge and the service is good. I got chicken nachos and good barely finish a quarter of them. The amount of food they give you here is amazing. We went later in the evening but I saw that they have awesome happy hour specials. Will have to stop by again to take advantage of some of the deals.

I’m giving four stars not because the food is so great, but because of the service that we get in the Cantina. Our server Ivan has become part of our Friday night tradition. We have been coming here almost every Friday night for the last couple of years and Ivan never disappoints. As soon as he sees us come through the door he immediately gets our drinks and guacamole. He always has a smile on his face and makes each and every customer feel special. That’s why he has so many regular customers that continue to come back and refuse to be waited on by anyone else. As long as he is there we will be there too! If the food was just a little better I would give five stars.

YUCKYUCKYUCKYUCK!!! Just don’t! I have been going to this location periodically since it was El Paso Cantina in the late 80’s yep; I just dated myself there! anyway the quality of food has declined steadily over the years till now where it has taken an absolute nose dive and I just can’t anymore. I had GF’s that was coming that had a few hours to kill. It was New Years Eve so in the early evening hours so our fine dining options were extremely limited. We settled on Acapulco in Stanton because we just basically gave up. We meet there and my friends had ordered guacamole and margarita’s and were already looking for alternate locations when I arrived. The guak was bland for my taste, but I think M & J ordered it mild and the margarita’s were ok nothing special kind of hard to mess something you pour from a mix over ice yet my margarita still had salt despite requesting no salt. So we take the lazy route and we decide to stay, I ordered the Veggie Fajita’s, and my friends orders combo plates that included tacos burritos, and chili rellenos(sp). My veggies were mildly warm and saturated with butter, the main veggie was green beans, and there were very few onions or peppers errr these are fajita’s onions and peppers are a requisite. but I appreciate a non meat option. There was a grilled pasilla pepper stuffed with cheese on top. the chili was good I just removed the ½ melted cheese. The rice was fine, kind of bland so I add lots of salsa. overall I had lots of left overs that I took home and then threw away the next day — I couldn’t bring myself to eat that again. oh and they charged $ 12.99 for buttery green beans sorry but that is way too much for what it is. I am not cheap but for the quality and type My friends opinions of the meal were bland and yuck. I didn’t sample anything so I cannot lend my opinion beyond what they stated, as bland. I was not tempted at all to sample.

$ 2 margaritas on Mondays. Never thought I’d actually love Mondays: The margaritas are really watered down. I needed 4 to start being a small buzz, but for $ 8 it’s worth it.

I had fajitas gigante and it was amazing, the carne asada was really marinated and tender, the shrimp and chicken were also grilled. Our server was muy amable, his name was Rocky. We had a coupon and the 2nd entrée was only $ 4.95, we ordered carne asada y camarones, our favorito since the past 30 years. The skirt steak was a little chewy but it was so flavorful we ordered it anyway. We come here either Monday or every 3rd Wednesday when the margaritas were only $ 2 each and this restaurant offered all flavors, lime, strawberry, mango it coconut. They have a lavish buffet every Sunday, I highly recommend Acapulco, it is really better than all the restaurants in Acapulco, MEXICO!

Trying this place a second time, but starting out poorly. We arrived for dinner at seven with a four year old and they put us in a semi private four table room. The table we had in the corner was really sticky and had particles of paper napkins stuck to the surface. Once again no one on the staff introduced themselves and didn’t bring a high chair when we asked for one. We got a booster seat the 4yr old wouldn’t sit in. Needless to say, bringing the kid was a mistake, because he wants to throw a tantrum, so thanks for the semi-private room. My order was the single shredded chicken enchelatta with rice and substituted sautéed vegetables, but they were just a little under-sautéed. Overall if was a good meal, and the impolite staff were patient with the couple and their noisy kid. Like my last review, this place is recommended. We will likely return.

This the second time going into this location and probably the last. Not even planing on visiting any other restaurants under this chain. Everything was just great during my first expierence, except for what I noticed around me. The servers here seem to feel like they are doing their guests a favor by attending to their needs. They approach with a very unfriendly attitude, and as soon as some one makes a negative or unfavorable comment their facial expression changes for the worse. Also, why do they assume that guests are blind to their side comments? I could see them at the bar chit chatting, and tho I could not hear, their boddy language said it all. Come on really!!! This last time I ventured in I got the shitty end of their service right off the bat, knowing very well what happens next, I got up and left never to come back. Good luck guys!

I probably haven’t ventured into Acapulco in two years, but I’m glad I got a chance to go during a rare lunch break outing! I do have to hand it to this Acapulco, because everything in this plaza inevitably fails and closes down, but Acapulco still remains. That must mean something, right? AMBIANCE: Pretty standard for Acapulco… AKA a quick and decently affordable way to transport yourself to Mexico thanks to the décor. This restaurant is way bigger than it seems(that’s what she said). FOOD: Rápido lunch deals are the way to go if you’re on a time and wallet crunch. $ 7.99 for shrimp enchilada was a sure crowd favorite. You literally get one enchilada, but the dish is filling enough for lunch. It also comes with rice and a vegetable medley, which was pleasantly surprising(squashes, carrots, etc). Verdict is I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, but if you’re in the Stanton/Garden Grove area there isn’t much selection for a sit-down lunch. Therefore, Acapulco is a decent choice.

Acapulco is a city in Mexico and after coming to this restaurant we almost felt like we are in Mexico… In the Mexican restaurant Y Cantina. Hospitality and speed of service(front desk, dining): Good, helpful, friendly and quick service Server friendliness: Very friendly, helpful, refilled chips and salsa without asking, provided napkins without asking. Food quality: quality was Good and portions were good too Our order: Margarita Mango, Macho-Tizer app 12.99, Tortilla soup-4.79, Suizas enchiladas-10.79, 3 item combo(Taquito, Tamale, Carnitas taco) –12.49 We had an issue with the Chicken wings for the appetizer and it was promptly replaced with the right sauce as ordered. Restaurant atmosphere was nice, pleasant and welcoming. Real Mex rewards: Join the club to earn rewards, For every $ 55 you spend at participating Acapulco, El Torito restaurants, receive $ 5 reward that you may apply to your next meal. The Specials: Monday Margarita’s for $ 2, Tuesday: Kids eat free, Wednesday: 50% off appetizer and drink specials, Thursday: All you can eat Enchiladas, Fridays: Fireball shots and n bombs, Sunday brunch: 16.99. Overall feedback is good, however the food quality and taste could use some improvement.

Went here on a lunch meeting with colleagues. We have been receiving coupons for Acapulco in our mail for the longest time, but we never dined here. One of our colleagues doesnt care much about seafood. So, we had to settle on Acapulco. It was a good decision. We ordered the following items: Macho-Tizer appetizer & Guacamole. Gigante Fajita, Fajita Duo with grilled steak and chicken, Seafood trio, Enchilado Rancheras, 2 cheese enchilada combo item. 1 Coke, and water all around. Total came to $ 136.87 including tip and taxes for 5 of us. Pros: 1) Portions were very generous.(+1) 2) Service was astonishingly efficient. Little things that we usually remind our waitstaff were taken care of automatically.(+1) a) Chips baskets were refilled without us requesting, b) Water was filled without us chasing servers down, c) Extra napkins were brought to us the minute we used our last napkins etc. 3) Food was very tasty. We were stuffed and still left a lot of food on the table. Cons: None.
