I love Joe’s but I do not like the raise the prices and take away the tips. I know the associates are making less and the restaurant is by far making more with the higher prices. I think I will not go back, I paid more without the tip and I tip well. Sorry Joe, other restaurants will be getting my money.

Food was adequate, but the one thing that I cannot tolerate occurred as my husband and I were eating… the wait staff began clearing the nearby tables after a large party of 20 departed… normally not a big deal, but they made so much noise that I could not hear my husband, nor our waitress. I was willing to ignore this until the staff began sweeping the floor near our table… this is unacceptable. One should never have to endure this while eating! Sweeping is to be done after hours… never should it occur while diners are eating. We will not return.

This was my first time going and I always wanted to go. I can honesty say that I was very impressed. My best friend and I went last night and got the $ 15 Lobster and it was amazing. The food was great, the service was great, and I will definitely be back

I’m not a big fan of franchised seafood joints, but I must say that I had some good food and crablegs here. They weren’t overcooked and dripping in water when I cracked it either. We had the crab dip, crab cakes, bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp, and fish. Yes we really ate good. There was a bit of a wait. But it was Saturday night too. They give you a bit to eat the crablegs too, lol I also had what they called a category 5, which they only allow you two per visit. Sooooo good. Yes, I’ll return when I want a quick seafood dish.

I went here the other day to get crabs for the first time to see what all the hype was about and boy crabs are a delight. I love crabs… I think everyone needs to have crabs at least once in their lifetime. If you have never had crabs before go to joes. Ever since I left I’ve been itching for more crabs.

Hair in our food, the other order was mushy over cooked, do I need to say anymore? But oh let me. My fiancé had time to go to the restroom, to the bar to order drinks and we still hadn’t been greeted. After the food came out crap they offered dessert but we had been there two hours and were so pissed we didn’t want it. So instead they did nothing for us. This Joe’s is the worst! If I could give it a big zero I would!

Ate dinner here for my birthday and had the traditional fish & chips. The fish was good… flaky and hot, not fishy tasting at all. The«chips» were just skin-on fries that arrived cold. No hush puppies or bread options. The staff was awesome! I had a drink called a Shark Bite, which looked major cool but was too sweet and not that great. $ 10 for the drink, which was mostly ice. Overall, probably won’t go back.

A calorie-fest to say the least. The East coast platter is 1500 calories. The food is good, though. My kids love the crab. It’s a fun place, and the wait staff is informal and fun. It takes longer to eat some of the food, which results in a longer wait for a table(over an hour last Saturday). And the prices are high. A family of five can expect to spend $ 100 on dinner. It’s not worth going to regularly if you have a large family. Good for visits once a year.

Enjoyed a nice lunch with my sister and her hubby as well as my guy. Sat outside and enjoyed the weather. Our waitress was nice although I think we could’ve seen her more frequently. Started with the crab dip which was creamy and tasty with warm tortilla chips. I tried the steampot with king and snow crab, shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn. Admittedly I only ate the crabs, which were tasty. The rest got boxed up to go. Side of hush puppies were tasty too. Not too dry, good flavor. My guy had a lobster and hush puppy casserole dish he enjoyed. Sis had the lobster steampot and seemed to like it. Her hubby had 2 dozen raw oysters… He really likes oysters! We enjoyed ourselves and plan to meet up there again sometime.

Service was good, Chipotle burger had great flavor but the seafood and chicken were all overlooked!

This was my first time here, my girlfriend took me for my birthday on the 7th of this month. The food was excellent and our waitress Amy was truly AMAZING!!! If I ever win the lottery I would most definitely come back and leave her a very hefty life changing tip, she has a WONDERFUL personality and made us feel welcome and very appreciated.

Just not good. All the crab legs were over cooked and not fresh. Server was a little too pushy. The desserts were bad too. The server did tell us they were not made in house. The cobbler was horrible. The apple crumble was decent. Low expectation and that’s what we got.

Treated my mother for her birthday and she thoroughly enjoyed. She ordered the Arctic Bay Steampot. Her steampot included a whole lobster, crab legs, shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn on the cob. The steampot was so plentiful that she made this into 3 separate meals. I ordered fish and chips(I substituted my fries for hush puppies) and it also came with cole slaw. My nephew ordered chicken fingers and fries, his picky appetite even approved. Overall my family and I enjoyed our meals and will definitely visit this establishment again.

Worst crab shack experience I’ve had. Staff was great, but food and atmosphere was awful. We sat in a very awkward bar facing booth that could not accommodate 3 people’s legs. The waitress recommended the Malibu Grilled Shrimp — it was horrid. The shrimp were dry, tasteless, and over cooked. Some were only partially deveined– an appetite ruiner. I was expecting the mango salsa to be fresh but it was just pico with some minced canned mango on top. As for the atmosphere this crab shack was the least decorated I have ever seen. Call me crazy but I love looking at all the weird junk on the ceiling.

I wasn’t really expecting much. The third coast platter was good. Wasn’t exactly impressed. Food was warm, not hot. Rice was kind of dry. The waitress was friendly and prompt. I looked for her while we were waiting for food to order a beer but she was nowhere to be found until our food arrived. Pretty much what I expected from Joe’s Crab Shack

JCS is one of those places you don’t go to a lot but when you do you can’t remember why you hadn’t been in awhile. We went for my niece’s 12th birthday and were treated like Kings & Queens. We got a great table that sat all 14 of us in a back area. We all ordered appetizers and drinks and got our main meals ordered. Our waitress came and presented each person who ordered a bucket with a big that she personalized with sayings. The birthday girl got one that said«birthday crab». The food was very good! We ordered The Big Hook Up, which was a variety of fish and shrimp, crab stuffed shrimp, great balls of fire(jalapeño balls), hushpuppies and fries. My husband and I shared this as we were already full from the appetizers and it was just the right touch. Usually on birthdays they make you get up and dance but they didn’t this time as my niece wasn’t a fan of it. However she loved the rest of the meal and we all were in food heaven!

We come here often and absolutely love this place. I always get the queen crab bucket with Chesapeake seasonings. It is always so delicious! There is a giant playground outside so my kid is entertained too. The wait is never long. I highly recommend Joe’s crabshack.

While visiting with family in suburban Saint Louis on more than a few occasions we’ve stopped at «Joe’s Crab Shack» right off of Highway 70 in Saint Peters MO. What is Joe’s Crab Shack? Well it’s a very heavily beach themed seafood eatery that specializes in crabs. Now it’s no secret from the number of Asian restaurant reviews I’ve done that I love shellfish, so this is the type of place that’s right up my alley. In my most recent visit I went for the«Ragin Cajun» steampot clearly named after a popular roller coaster. We also ordered«Crab Nachos» as a side, we’ll start with the appetizer. The crab nachos were like any other nachos you might find with cheese, jalepeno, lettuce and salsa on them. What makes them crab nachos is some delicious crab dip. This is an excellent combination and we managed to consume the entire plate of them. The actual chips held together well and the overall ingredient mix fit together quite nicely. I’d recommend this as an appetizer. The Ragin Cajun was a bit of a different story. The ragin cajun came with large crab legs steamed in some sort of cajun spices which cooked in a lot of flavor. Also in the steam pot and cooked in the same mix was shrimp, potatoes, corn on the cob and andouille sausage. The crab meat itself was among the best I’ve ever tasted as the flavor from the seasoning really soaked in to the nice tender meat. The andouille however was bland and tame. The potato wasn’t so hot, the corn on the cob seemed firmer than it should have been and overcooked. The shrimp were the other bright spot in the steam pot as they tasted excellent as well. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and helpful in bringing me to a decision about what to order. I was pleased with my food overall and would definitely both recommend Joe’s crab shack and would visit again(I live in the Chicago area so the closest location to me isn’t all that close but I’m sure I’ll make it there eventually). I’m going to give Joe’s Crab Shack four stars as there’s very little to crab about here.

Salt seems to be the dominant seasoning at this restaurant. The crab dip appetizer came with salty tortilla chips. Really salty. I got the Maui Mahi with the crispy potatoes & seasonal vegetables. The fish & potatoes were really salty. This really makes me rethink eating in restaurants. The huge amount of salt is insane! Hello high blood pressure. The waitress was great & was attentive to our needs. She was really helpful in choosing something that met my dietary restrictions. This place is close to the mall.
