Nice JoAnn store, comparatively speaking. Good amount of things in stock, plenty of staff, and when there were issues with my fabric(bolt was a bunch of cuts – had to go get another bolt to get a solid 2 yd piece), they took care of things promptly. I asked one of the cashiers a question, and she gave me the low-down on a ton of coupons I could use. Thanks to her, I saved about fifty – yes, FIFTY – bucks on my $ 160(now $ 110) purchase! Would definitely come back.

Holy freakin fabric batman! This place has an intense amount of Fabric and other crafting supplies, it is crazy and off the chain busy compared to the Circuit City that once was here. They even have«The Walking Dead» Comic fabric and it looks awesome! I am going to be back for some other fabric projects soon and I am excited about looking at all the fabric. Also look online for some pretty good mobile coupons, like 60% off one item!

This is the best Joann’s store I’ve ever been in. Now granted, I’m not there for the fabric, but it’s a darn good store craft-wise. 1. THEYHAVE A MOTORIZEDCART!!! this means I can actually SHOP there, and not be in excruciating pain. Always a plus, and I love supporting businesses that ffer motorized carts for the mobility challenged. That being said, they aren’t very careful about keeping the aisles clear enough for the motorized cart to get through all of them. Turns are tight, and I’ve gotten stuck a few times. But it’s better than NOT having a motorized cart, so I’m not taking a star off for that. And many of the bins that block the way are on wheels and I can push them a bit to make my turn. 2. THEYHAVE A BETTERYARNSELECTION than the local Michael’s store. If you buy much yarn at a craft or department store(as opposed to a small local yarn store), this is your one stop destination. Unless you’re looking for all three million colors of Red Heart Super Saver, this is the place to go. They have some good quality craft store yarn(Patons, Bernat, Lion Brand…) in wide selections, and something is always on sale, and/or they always have coupons. They even carry more wool than I would expect to find at a craft store. The Michael’s here in the area? Very very little yarn selections. 3. I can’t speak to how helpful the staff are. The check out clerk was SUPER wonderful, but as to finding employees around the store? I didn’t notice any except those at the fabric cutting counter. Fortunately, I didn’t need any help, but I can’t comment on how helpful/unhelpful they might be when it comes to the craft side of their store. No one noticed me having problems navigating the aisles in the otorized cart or offered any kind of assistance or asked if I needed help, but then again, I didn’t see all that many staff on hand. I was able to help another customer in the yarn shop who had yarn questions. It did take a bit of looking around to find the button aisle, and one employee did see me looking around and didn’t ask if I needed help, but since I was poking around and not in a hurry and not in pain because of the motorized cart, I won’t remove a star for that, either. I think they were just understaffed, which is more and more of a problem with many stores. 4. They have SOMANYTHINGS. It is hard to say no. I end up putting 100 things in my cart, and then putting 90 of them back. If you are there purely for fabric, maybe the experience would be different. But speaking in terms of a crafting and crafty home goods kind of store? They are the best in the area! I will return whenever I need a craft or crafty home item. Love this store WAY more than Michael’s!!! I am teaching some total newbies how to knit, and this store will be our field trip to learn all about different yarns. I wouldn’t even think of taking them to the local Michael’s.

Pretty decent store, and slightly larger than the standard JoAnn’s I grew up with back in my hometown. Now that I have a serger and a yarn swift & ball winder, I come here WAY too often to get knitting supplies, fabric, notions, misc craft related paraphernalia… you name it! The employees are nice enough but when it gets really slammed(around Halloween!) it is evident they are really stressed and aren’t always the friendliest. But hey, I understand. But yeah… I really dig on the chick with the blue hair and Star Wars apron(that she made herself, fuck yea!) They publish new coupons for use each weekend and throughout the week but since I always forget to bring them, I just signed up for the phone coupon alerts where they text you new deals every so often(it’s really not as often as I thought!) but then I went and installed their Android App and I am actually really glad I did – (despite the plethora of spyware which I am sure probably got installed along with it… no one has privacy anymore with phone apps, lol) – mostly because all the coupons and other info is all in one place. If only you could search their inventory from the phone app at the local store or just search for certain products SKUs on the app… that way you can plot out your insane yarn/fabric spending spree for the weekend, hoard your coupons up, and then go and spend hours in the fabric store. Seriously. I could(and have!) spend hours just flipping through the pattern books! The only thing that sucks about the coupon thing is that if an item is already on sale, you can’t use the 40% off coupon! So yeah… slightly obnoxious. But I found that if I want to buy a really expensive item like a dressform or a set of interchangeable circular knitting needles it is usually best to just go on since there’s no sales tax, free shipping, etc… but every so often there’s a rare gem that’s cheaper at JoAnn’s. I wish they had a wider selection of fashion fabric… but oh well! PS: Don’t buy your first sewing machine here… not saying they aren’t knowledgeable, just saying that Jackman’s kicks their tail in every way when it comes to sewing machines, sergers, embroidery machines, etc. But maybe Jo Ann’s has more budget friendly machines, IDK. I am just sayin’ I’d rather save up and buy a slightly more expensive machine that I know will perform well over time and sadly JoAnn’s doesn’t carry the Babylock brand, which is my favorite, tried & true brand of machines. Singer just ain’t what it used to be…

Quick stop in to pick up something for a family member. Since it was being held at front counter I looked around for a few minutes. I will probably buy some fabric there but will make sure to have a coupon. They seem to be alittle steep in pricing.
