Several weeks ago a woman I know told this story. This woman, I’ll call her M, is in her eighties, is unsteady on her feet and shops often with the assistance of her daughter, P.
M. and P went to this particular Radio Shack and M took a fall. Daughter P could not lift her, nor could P manage with the help of a clerk in the store, so the clerk called the back room for help.
A male employee, working in the back room, came to help M who told him to call 911 because she was «bigger than him» and figured he could not manage. The male employee said (paraphrased) «not to worry, his mom often fell and he knew just how to get her up.» And he did. M went about her business, unhurt, a little embarrassed but most of all grateful for his kindness and expertise.
