What a great a peaceful park in the middle of town. They have plenty of picnic tables for a great picnic lunch outside. This park also hosts music in the park during the summer. Definitely worth a stop when you need to stop, or a place to have your lunch. Pro-tip: Your kids are more likely to be entertained at another park because the jungle gym area is pretty small.

I had my wedding here 15 years ago. Lovely old gazebo. Quiet little park… until the volunteer fire department siren goes off. We didnt know it was there. Its a very tall pole off to the side middle of the park. Hilariously, it went off right in the middle of our vows! We just paused until it was over. It did make our wedding memorable. We go back each year to stand in the very spot we were married. It has a reasonable rental fee. Perhaps one day… if I win lotto… I will sponsor the gazebo… adopt it for its upkeep. As with all parks… I just wish people would realize its home to urban wildlife… be respectful while in their home… dont let your children harass wildlife… teach them values

Vestpocket park of green lawn, a scattering of picnic tables under pines, and a shady place to enjoy a bottle of wine and a good picnic. Plenty of street parking just north of the main downtown strip on the right as you go north – don’t blink or you’ll miss it. We had a great hour respite here with our deli meats, cheeses, and most of a bottle of chardonnay. Kudos especially to the four kids who offered us their larger table in swap for our very small four-seater. They just had water and coffee but seeing our big picnic fixings insisted we swap so we’d have room to spread out our spread. Nice kids!
