I just keep coming back! Another great service by Nick and his staff! The best Oysters Rockefeller I have ever had. The blackened ribeye was cooked to perfection. I will be back to try yet another menu item. Great evening!

I love Pearl’s Oyster Bar. We have been here 6 times and have always had a great meal. We have had the oyster on the half shell a few times. I was a little leary the first time I tried oysters, but having fresh oysters have made all the difference. They are excellent. We usually get the seafood steamer which is always great. Tonight we had the Cajun shrimp and crab pasta… so good !!! I cannot say enough how much we love this place. A shout out to Nathan and Nick tonight for talking to us and letting us watch you work your culinary wonders!

We eat here every 1 — 2 weeks. My husband gets the Cajun pasta, which is the best around & I either get the crab cakes or the blackened strip steak. Both are ridiculously good!!! The clam chowder & gumbo are also very good, are are the Hurricanes & chocolate/peanut butter dessert. Highly recommend!

I was in town to visit family 2 weeks ago and had told my Dad I was craving oysters on the half, so he brought our family here for dinner one night. We started with the Blackened Scallops, Asian-seasoned Calamari, and an order of oysters on the half. I’m not a huge fan of scallops but I’ll eat it, and I actually really liked how they seasoned the scallops here. The Calamari was OK, it was really crispy almost popcorn-like with a twist on flavor. And the oysters were dee-lish, of course! They were clean and just so YUMS!.. and I think they’re pretty nicely priced compared to other oyster bars in STL too. I also had the Cajun Shrimp & Crab Penne Pasta as main course and thought that was pretty good, but after all the appetizers I only finished half of the main dish =b I also tried some of my Dad’s Cantonese Crab that was literally overflowing with sauce which I think should have been absorbed more in the meat than sitting on the outside. It was overcooked, the meat was chewy and lacked any significant flavor — probably bc it was all pooled on the outside! And I’m not much of a drinker but I gave Pearl’s Madness(Absolut Mandrin+Peach Schnapps+Malibu+Cran Juice) a try, and I loved it! Not too sweet and not too strong, but just enough :) Service was nice, I would definitely like to come back. It’s a bit of a drive for us, so not sure when would be the next special occasion!

This is one of my top 5 places to eat. Fun & friendly Wait Staff, great food — I highly recommend the Fried Oysters. It is hard to find them cooked like they do on the coast in St. Louis and this place does them well :) Light to med breading, cooked thoroughly yet still juicy. My husband prefers his raw and is happy when I choose Pearl’s for Date Night. Very reasonable priced menu with good selection. Come hungry. Many fun times for me at Pearl’s!

The food was really good. The service terrible! We were seated immediately, 20 min later the waitress came by for drink orders but we had sat so long we were ready to order. We placed our orders and soon after she brought our drinks. I would say within 15 min I had drank my water. The waitress came by and said she would return with a refill. 20 min later the manager comes by and asks if we need anything and i stated a refill and I asked if she could just bring me a pitcher. She stated that wasn’t possible but She would get my refill. She came back with the water and asked if we needed anything else and I informed her no just waiting. Another 10 min passed and our food was ready. The food was good but the service was bad enough that I doubt I will ever return.

So me and my Sweetie Vincent D. came here on Valentine’s Day because 1) we were hungry and 2) everything else was packed, LOL. So when we arrived, we were able to go straight to the bar, order and get drinks. Now mind you, they had several people there; we just lucked up. There were no lines, but four people were ahead waiting to be seated. It was a nice atmosphere; the chef and cooks were busy, busy, busy! I had some cocktail drink which tasted like sweet kool-aide, but I’m cool with that and didn’t order another one. We order calamari for an appetizer and entrees dinner. My greedy butt also ordered crab legs. Okay, let me just stay that everything was good, really. But the calamari SUCKED!!! It was way over fried and too dang crunchy. The menu called for«crispy» calamari and not«crunchy» and hard ones. I was so dang tired that I didn’t even bother to complain and figured I’d just note it for this review. I ordered the crab cake entrée and Vince ordered… sorry forgot, LOL. I must say that my food was really good. My crab legs were just right and it wasn’t filled with dirt and yuck like you sometimes find other places. It was just enough for me. Our server was a bit slow and didn’t come to check on us as she could or should have. I’ll let her slide this time. I must say that regardless to the three negative items I mentioned, I definitely would give them another shot because after the drink and appetizer were gone and the food came out, everything else was perfect.

Combination boil. The food was really good and the service was decent. They forgot the corn cob sides on everyone’s plates. Would have been five stars if the waitress would have taken something off the bill for that oversight. Guess she just wanted a smaller tip? Loved the crab legs!

This place is fine, it wasn’t amazing or anything but it wasn’t too bad either. I had oysters and ehh they could have been better. The service was good though. We had the kids with us and they accomodated us well.

I really liked Pearl’s especially as they were very accommodating to our party of 11. oh wait 13. oh wait 15. yea you get the idea and I am sure have been in a situation when unexpected guests keep joining your party and you(in this case me) as host need to keep wrangling tables. Hostess was extremely accommodating and calm with us grabbing a few more tables and dragging them over. so A++ for hostess. Part II of a huge party at dinner. the end of meal check dance. I started brainstorming with my friends as dinner was coming to a close. so we go with the here are 7 credit cards split it evenly. crap wait we have a couple of guests who are not part of a couple(how rude of them!).waiter to the rescue. hands me a bill I open it up and it is for just me and the birthday girl! Fabulous! once again A++ Food.come hungry. very very hungry. because the portions are large and the oysters(blue points the night we were there) are delicious. I had crab cakes. prefere mine a bit lumpier but enjoyed them(between grabbing another table. sure come to dinner late I’ll take care of everything. ;p) but I should have went with the gumbo. several people did and enjoyed. If you don’t like seafood don’t come here(pretty straight forward?) our meat and potatoes fan had one option. a started of cheesy garlic bread. mmm carbs! and a blackened prime rib. he reported it was delicious. so food hmm. B+ Drinks? Well I stuck with a beer and then a martini. good selection of booze but you will not be hanging around for glass of port. So a solid B for selections. ahh wait the flaming hurricane. well that is cute I suppose. if you like that kind of thing :) So my advice is swing by before you lose your money and can’t afford dinner(price point is reasonable given portion size but I’d prefer smaller portions and less $$)

Fun place and the oysters were good. I’m not a huge oyster fan but the horse radish sauce made it for me. It’s pretty cool watching them prepare some interesting dishes too. Interesting in a good way.

No. Just no. I should have known better because it is a freakin’ seafood restaurant in a freakin’ casino. In freakin’ Missouri. Triple whammy. Just because Lumiere has reportedly nice restaurants(I’ve never been to one personally but I had their food at Taste of STL once, A++) doesn’t mean this rings true with Ameristar! My girl-friend and I arrived at about 9pm or so. They serve ’till about midnight, FYI. Our server took forever to just bring us water and when I asked him about all of the things I was interested in ordering, they were completely sold out! I even had back-up options and those were gone too. Seriously? I ended up getting garlic bread and peel-n-eat shrimp. She ordered the clam chowder and fried calamari. I also ordered some kind of fruity rum drink special thing. It took forever for them to just bring us water and menus, and then the food took even longer. I think it could have been due to our server being swapped out midway through. It’s always a little awkward when that happens but hey, nothing you can do about it… pretty normal I guess? I also found it quite odd that our first server kept telling me NOT to order certain things. I was going to get the seafood salad thing but he said the dressing was«gross» and not to get it. Uhh well I guess points for honesty but seriously??? So weird. The food itself wasn’t bad… just freaking huge. I couldn’t finish it all. I actually really liked my alcoholic drink… they even lit it on fire! Bonus points for cool effect, I suppose. The garlic bread was pretty garlic-y but was also kinda swimming in oil. The peel and eat shrimp was MASSIVE as was the calamari and soup. We could barely finish our food. I wish someone would have warned us that the food portions were massive. Ugh. The real icing(tartar sauce) on the cake for this whole experience is that I was horrendously ill the following day. I want to say it was food poisoning but can’t say for sure. Let’s just say the food at Pearl’s did NOT agree with my digestive system which is weird because I didn’t eat too much food there, and I’m pretty sure I would have known if my shrimp or calamari was bad *when* I was eating it. Yeeeah… urrrp. Never again!

For the seafood lover who is tired of the conventional Red Lobster. Specialize in oysters. They have a very unique menu that includes some Asian. So, worth checking out if you love seafood but don’t expect the best. Pay attention to what you order. I ordered What I thought was a standard meal of boiled jumbo shrimp but it turned out to be some sort of shrimp stew. It came with corn on the cob that and potatoes both in the stew. I was expected to cut up the potatoes and corn for the stew. I am no cook so this didn’t turn out well. It was good after I got it fixed bug I would prefer the chef do all the cooking, not me. So… pay attention to what you order. It is right next to the bottle neck blues bar so it is loud when a band as playing and it is also open to the casino so you have the distraction/entertainment of people coming and going. It was«pretty good.» I probably will go back at some point

This is a great little Seafood place only open on the weekends Friday and Saturday 5pm — 12am & Sunday 5pm — 10pm, located in the AmeriStar Casino. Once of my vices is going to the casino and to my surprise when I stopped into Pearls was they had other items on their menu besides seafood. The one that caught my eye was the Blackened Prime Rib. They cooked it to perfection and served it with sour cream horseradish sauce which gives you a little zing in every bite, red potatoes which were soft and easy to cut with a fork and roasted corn on the cob… love corn on the cob with butter… LOL. When I am out at the Casino win or loose I always stop in and grab a bite to eat. I mean I see people throwing down the oysters, king crab legs, the lobster tails, frog legs, shrimp, catfish and crab cakes mmmmmm gosh I am making myself so hungry. They boil the King crab legs to perfection, they set the oysters on a tray of ice. They really prepare everything for you. Their menu offers a variety, I would recommend Pearl’s to anyone wanting to hit the town with a combination of Food, Fun and Excitement at AmeirStar.
