Nice bar with live band. Large dance floor, lots of fun. Great service… definitely will go again. Does not serve food but will let you bring food in from other venues.

AWFULEXPERIENCE. This was my first time coming here and we went for a birthday party. First of all, this place does not serve food and my wife and I were getting hungry as we sat at our table drinking. I left to get food to bring back from the Sports Bar across from Bottleneck. I came back with our food and the guy attending the door asked to see my hand stamp. Uh… they forgot to stamp my hand when we first arrived, so I had no hand stamp. He told me I would have to either wait in line with a tray of food in my hand(50+ people in line by this time) or I would not be allowed to re-enter! What a HORRIBLE way to do business and treat a customer, much less a person for that matter.

No food. I thought they had it some time ago, but they allow you to grab a to go order elsewhere in the casino and bring it in.

Somehow the new Zhivegas & Bottleneck Blues bar is the perfect mix. Both are professionally created to entertain. The bar was overall well designed. The sound system was great. The 2 large screens on the side of the stage added to the show. The bartenders showed enough flair(spinning & tossing bottles) to add to the experience, but not too much to slow the pace. Personally, I skipped the trip, wait & flair at the bar after my first attempt & ordered from the waitress. Buckets of 5 beers are $ 17 so for a twenty you are covered with tip. The bad is the same as most places not designed by somebody that actually worked at a bar. The trash & liquir is constantly flowing through the bar because the back door & liquir storage is not close to the bar. The other weird thing is having workers cut across the stage so much. Zhivegas has changed with less people in the band & a new female singer plus more modern music. To keep the overall sound & show big– Zhivegas uses a Video DJ that plays prerecorded videos & music that they play & sing along with. Still takes talent & energy. Overall, I was impressed for the entertainment @ $ 5 cover charge.

I had definitely underestimated this place. Who thinks a bar inside a casino is going to be FUN? There was a live band, and people everywhere, the space was bigger than I thought it would be and the server was pretty good at coming by every few minutes to check on us. The band was really great! I have no idea what their name was but I will definitely come hang out at Bottleneck again!

We headed to Bottleneck to hear Dr. Zhivegas with friends. You do have to arrive early in order to get in. My only complaint about that is a large part of the bar was«reserved,» and in the two+ hours we were there, those spots were never filled… so it was standing room only with a lot of empty seats. Apple martinis are excellent and not too badly priced. :)

This place is a blast. Great drinks and music. They have the staff come by constantly to grab up empty glasses and bring refills and take new orders. The décor is wild. Concrete type wall coverings that have plates, beads, chips, dominioes, and other strange items set into it. Even though it is crowded it is really easy to move around the bar because the way it is set up and the flow. Highly recommend this place.

Bottleneck is one of the best music venues in the St. Louis area for sure and it’s one of the best options for entertainment out here in Chuckville. Since I’m too damn old to go clubbin’ anymore this is a place where I always feel comfortable and anyone fits in. There are usually groups celebrating birthdays, bachelorette parties, and even divorce parties. The music is normally an entertaining local cover band. ie. Dr. Z, Joe Dirt, That 80’s Band, etc. Occasionally BBB brings in a washed up natioinal act but I prefer the local acts. The drinks are on the expensive side.($ 4 beers, $ 6-$ 8 shots), and when there’s a full house the place can get pretty cramped around the bar(what place doesn’t?). Our server last night was Angie. She was extra-friendly and kept the drinks flowing at a fast and furious pace which definitely added to our experience. I recommend BBB to anyone who’s looking for a place to listen to good music, dance, and drink in an atmosphere where you’ll never feel out of place no matter who you are or how you’re dressed.

Always seems to be great music, decently poured drinks and good wait staff service. Music was high quality. Diverse crowd. A good place to meet up and rock out. :)

This place is a great stop to make after getting your ass beat in roulette. Located inside the Ameristar Casino, it attracts quite a diverse crowd but also brings in more than decent musical acts, so you can always count on being entertained. Between the random casino-goers, the cougars in sparkly tops, and the underage rockers banking on their fake ID’s, this place is a trip. I feel like it gets stereotyped a lot because of the location, but I always have a good time here. Get to Bottleneck at LEAST45 minutes before a show starts and you can snag a seat and the bar and sip on cheap drinks while you watch the show on stage. Aesthetically, this place rocks if you pay attention. So many bright colors and lights, awesome(and huge) chandeliers, and a really big space. Get drunk and rock out to Dr. Shivegas… it feels SO wrong but you know you want to. After a few rum and diets with lime, it cannot be denied. Fun stop while gambling at Ameristar! Wink at the bouncer so you can skip the standard $ 5 – 10 cover.

Totally not what I expected! It’s bigger inside than it appears and is a pretty cool venue for being in the Ameristar. We went to see«That 80’s Band» whom put on a GREAT concert! The service is good and the waitress took pretty good care of us considering how busy it was. The dance floor is not huge but it works for the size of the venue. If you’re not a dancer, there are plenty of good seats around the stage that you are able to still see the band perform on stage.

I have to agree with Andrea here. I was not expecting much from this place the first time I came. It’s inside Ameristar, so you immediately assume it’s going to filled with the casino folks and have overpriced beers. That simply is not the case. I actually have had a really good time here every time I have come. The bar is pretty huge and it’s not hard to find a seat provided you get there a little early. The line can get pretty long if there’s a big headliner, too, but again, this is easily remedied by getting there a little early. I have seen fairly large local acts and unknown cover bands at this place, they seem to book all kinds of different bands. Some are good and some are bad, just like any music venue. Also, the bouncer isn’t a jerk about checking your id and actually keeps the line moving pretty quickly. I always appreciate this. The beers and drinks are very fairly priced and run about the same as any other place in St. Louis/St. Charles. Also, if you get bored, you can always pop into the casino for added entertainment. I usually do.

This bar is connected to Ameristar Casino, so my initial assumption of what the place would be like wasn’t great. But I had a really fun evening here. The bar is covered in oak and cool décor, and antique-style lighting fills the room. The bar is really large – but warning, this place is usually packed so you’re going to have to push your way up there for a drink. The main attraction to this place is the live music. Generally, there is some type of band playing every evening. Mostly tribute and cover bands, but there are some original rock, country and blues acts that come in. The last time I was there, That 80’s Band was playing. So much fun! They played all of the 80’s hits that you want to hear, and the dance floor is big so there is plenty of space to dance away to Working for the Weekend and Material Girl.
