Rude and unfriendly staff. I was asked to wait when I asked if I could place an order for new replacement frames. The woman then proceeded to answer the phone as it rang and take the order of a customer WHOCALLEDTHESTORE(right in front of me). You sure have your priorities straight, Visionworks! Springfield Mall may have renovated the entire mall, and Visionworks may have changed its name, but you can never get rid of existing, deplorable customer service.

Try some place else. I don’t believe in spending money at a place where I’m not greeted or attended to. The employees were into their private conversations rather than in assisting me. One of them stood right next to me to find a frame, looked at me and then just went back to whatever she was doing with the frame(didn’t acknowledge me, assist me or even flag another employee to assist me if she was busy). And they honestly expect to make a sale? Ridiculous.

Thanks to my awesome employer vision plan, I had a wide selection of doctors to choose from, but decided to settle on Visionworks since it was inside Springfield Town Center and I had some shopping to do(why not hit 2 birds with 1 stone?). I was able to call to make an appointment and they were able to take my insurance information over the phone so I didn’t need to bring my card or benefits package in. The eye exam was straightforward. Dr. Arthur is very sweet, professional, and all of my questions were answered. However, the sales experience wasn’t stellar. The sales associates didn’t offer to help me pick out glasses because they were having personal conversations on the side. There weren’t many brands to select from, but eventually I settled on a pair. I was told that I wouldn’t receive them onsite and it would take 7 – 10 days. I’ve never had to wait for more than a few days from other vision establishments, so this was a foreign feeling to me. A few days later, I received a phone call that my glasses didn’t get past inspection, so it tacked on a few more days to the wait. I just picked up my glasses today and the sales associate handed me my new case and that was that. No suggestions, no inspection, no adjustments… not a very personable experience at all, especially after spending a few Benjamins on brand new glasses.
