I stood in line for approximately 5 — 10 minutes 4x within 2 weeks at this Starbucks. I didn’t mind the wait, what I minded was finding out each time I reached the counter that they did not have any Pike brewed. Each freaking visit. Pike is standard coffee for all Starbucks. I always expect it at any Starbucks I visit. On the fourth visit, they finally told me they don’t brew Pike at that location, because they don’t sell enough of it. Really? If you don’t brew Pike you won’t sell any of it at all. There was no sign, and nothing to indicate that Pike was not on their menu. They offered a pour over, which I agreed to on my first visit but it took an extra 10 minutes. It is coffee, not a Foo Foo drink. I don’ t HAVE20 minutes to wait for my coffee. Pour and go. The place is fairly busy too… oh, and they have no green stop sticks so people are spilling their coffee all over the floor as they leave the mall. Good GRIEF!

Two absolutely lovely ladies I had the pleasure of getting my coffee fix from this morning!!! Very friendly and caring! People like them make the world go round!!! Such a cute little set up with tables and chairs to enjoy your coffee and snack at while waiting on all the stores to open! My new favorite is ham and Swiss panini!!!

Quality of coffee is terrible. I avoid all starbucks at all costs wherever I go. The mass production has taken the value away.

Better selection of pastries than the smaller stores but staff seems a bit frazzled and unfriendly.

Signs on I-65 are infuriatingly misleading. This location is 2.5 miles from the highway, accessible only via residential street littered with stop lights, and in a shopping mall with no signage visible from the road.

UPDATE on 2÷8÷14: These lines are still atrocious. Dear Bigwigs at Starbucks: I do not know what the answer is. Maybe one option is to put another Starbucks in the mall in Springfield, Missouri. That’s exactly what Auntie Anne’s has done. This is the Starbucks at the Battlefield Mall. They need to either extend the size of this one, or put another one in a second location somewhere in the mall. Great coffee. Helpful servers. But they are swamped every single time I stop by. If I’m in a rush, I can’t get coffee here. One time when I was thirsty & in a hurry, I grabbed a coke at the cookie store nearby, even though I wanted coffee. There wasn’t a long line at the cookie place. Update 3÷9÷13: Every time I’ve walked by, or into, this Starbucks at the mall in Springfield, there have been no less than 5 people in line in front of me. Typically 10 or more. This Starbucks is your run-of-the mill Starbucks. I’ve never had a problem here, but I don’t go out of my way to come here because it’s in the Battlefield Mall. If I’m shopping, then this place is convenient, otherwise I’ll skip it. The staff has always been amicable and treated me well. They’ve also been able to stay up-to-speed with my drink orders which I customize to the nth degree. The downside is they have no wifi. The upside and downside is that it’s in the mall. *shrugs* Check out my post about the Starbucks on Sunshine and Campbell for other commentary about their food selection.
