We were slow to discover Nathan Bills. We have visited for dinner and even joined the crowd on last St Pats day. The service is always friendly. You don’t have to be Irish to be welcome here. The décor is a pleasantly pubby style. My favorite dinner choice is the fish and chips. It’s a huge portion with a crispy batter. I’m glad we live nearby. There is a wide selection of beer and ale, a whole page of selections. Sometimes they’ll be out of something but there’s always plenty of choice. The wait staff tend to be young so they can’t help you choose, ask the bartender or other older staff.

Great bar and restaurant! Welcomed our group in and accommodated us pushing tables together and taking over a corner of the bar area. The service was great, and the food quite tasty(especially the app sampler platter and buffalo chicken skins). Would recommend to anyone looking for a drink and a bite to eat!

Love this place! Always comfy. And if the Curried Zucchini soup is on the menu don’t pass it by. It’s amazing!

I’ve been here for lunches and the night scene and it never disappoints. The waitstaff is pleasant and attentive. The owners do a lot for the community they serve, you always see their name on mass live. I love their sampler for an appetizer. Their sauces are homemade– you can tell! I’ve never tried it for dinner, but for lunch, I’ve had a good sampling of the menu. I love the potato balls and Irish egg rolls. I also love their dry rub in the chicken wings. Keep it up!

Awesome neighborhood bar! They have a great food selection and very accommodating. Definitely an awesome alternative to going downtown or the dump around the corner known as Pasquales.

I’ve only ever been here for drinks but it was a good experience. I used to be a fan of O’Brien’s pub when I lived in the area but from what I’ve been told that place has taken a turn of sorts so at the recommendation of a few friends I decided to setup camp on a barstool at Nathan Bill’s. The beer selection is good with the regulars that one would expect in New England and a few curveballs as well to keep your pallet excited. The only thing that I wouldn’t recommend is the trivia. I have been there twice on Trivia Nights now and its more geared towards the college crowd. If you’re a mid-level trivia savant at some of the other establishments around, you’ll lose interest quickly at this one. The quality of it just doesn’t cut it.

I have been here for lunch & dinner several times. The food and service has always been great. My only complaint is there’s always an issue with keno. Either the machine is down or the manager hasn’t signed on yet or something.

I have been here 3 times now. Each time we have had great service and food. The beer that we have gotten has been good also(although nothing special). As far as food goes I would recommend the potato skins which is pretty much the half a potato with topping on it(delish) and the French fries. I have gotten the wings which were good but I don’t think I would recommend the house sauce. There is also trivia night on Tuesday which starts around 9. I will be back here as it is relatively close to my house and haven’t had a bad experience yet.

From my one time there, i found it unimpressive and overpriced. I’ve only been once, so maybe it was just our server, but she was pretty bad. Forgetful, ignored a lot of the party, a bit dim. The beer selection was pretty typical, nothing special. Seating was ample which was nice. The food: Some bad, some good. Most a rip-off. The Irish Balls — excellent appetizer! Delicious, I would eat a ton of them if it wasn’t 10 bucks for 5 little balls of fried potatoes. They must make a killing off of these because there is really nothing to them, and no reason to charge so much. If these were 3 bucks, I’d probably spend way more at this place and get stuffed on those. The Nachos — decent tasting, lots of toppings, again, over priced for what you get. The jalepenos on them were fresh though, which is a nice change from the grey-green jalepenos from the can that most bars slop onto their nachos. Stuffed Mushrooms — stuffed with crabmeat — fake crab meat, again overpriced, but tasty. Fish and Chips — awful. Don’t bother unless you love batter. Seriously, the pieces of fish were like donuts. You’d think a bar with so many fried items on the menu would know how to make fish and chips. Patty Melt — not awful, but nothing to write home about, other than that there was so little cheese i had to pull the sandwich apart to make sure it wasn’t forgotten about. I asked for Medium rare, and it was nicely cooked medium rare meat though, pink in the middle, but somehow dried out a bit. The fries were excellent. They like to keep the doors open so that everyone inside can enjoy the people smoking just outside the door. And of course, dinner was accompanied by your typical acoustic duo playing songs everyone’s sick of and no one really wants to hear anyhow. Not a bar to get excited about, and not a place I would go out of my way to go to. If someone said«Hey lets go back there!» I’d say«Let’s find some place else» But, if I was shopping in the area, and was desperate for a quick bite, I’d consider it.

This place is a dump. The bartenders are probably hired for looks because that can’t make simple drinks. Stay away from this crap hole.

Great all around place. Food is amazing, the clam chowder is to die for. Also the buffalo chicken tortellini is great as well. Attractive waitresses who know the menu and drink selections avidly and are punctual on service. Live music on certain nights as well as a large beer selection on tap. Highly recommend a visit.

Been here a few times now for food and drinks. The atmosphere is classic Irish pub/neighborhood bar done in dark stained woods with muted green and brown paint on the walls and ceiling and low lighting. You feel relaxed the moment you walk in. The liquor and beer selections are fine although more choices for single malt scotches would have been nice. Now to the food. Very solid each time and reasonably priced. Nothing fancy mind you but classic pub food executed very well. Thier«house» wing sauce is very good, nachos are stacked high and plentiful and each time my burger actually came out medium rare. With many other burger places offering only«pink» or «no pink» in terms of doneness, its nice to go a place that actually will serve you meat from rare to well done and do it right. Plenty of large screen TV’s all around if you want to check out a game with some friends but the volumes are down so they don’t over the room if you want to go there with your girl or other couples. They just were voted Best Neighborhood Bar by the local Arts and Food Paper and have established a very solid reputation quickly. My last visit there was for lunch the day after St Patricks Day. Needless to say, the staff was tired but our waitress was cheery nonetheless, the food was on the money and the place looked great. You would never have guessed there was a mob scene there until 2am the night before and people were there until 6am cleaning and prepping. From where I sit, if they can make that kind of recovery the day after St Patty’s Day they can do anything!

We went here last Saturday night and sat at the bar for dinner, drinks, and to listen to the band. For pub food, it was very good. We had boneless wings and«Irish Balls» for appetizers, and they were both excellent. The clam chowder could have been served much hotter in temperature, but it was honestly some of the best I’ve had in the area. Everyone in our group enjoyed their sandwiches. The bar staff was great-very attentive and friendly despite the place being very crowded.

What should a bar not do… 1) run out of the most popular beer on a normal Saturday night 2) stop selling food at 10pm 3) give customers plastic cups over glasses because they don’t want to do the dishes 4) tell overly drunk customers who toss their beer to leave, then just walk away and not see them out 5) make last call 40 minutes before the bar closes 6) let underage kids in What bar does this… Nathan Bills. Why? Because customer service doesn’t exist here.

I’m a little shocked that I liked this place so much, but I was pleasantly surprised! They have a decent tap selection, including a few IPAs as well as seasonals. The mixed drinks(according to my friends) were pretty good too. Thumbs up for the bar. The food is what really surprised me. I opted for the appetizer sliders as my entrée and they were delicious. They were surprisingly flavorful with tasty bacon mayo and caramelized onions. The mini buns were really good and the beef itself was yummy. My friend had the quesadillas and said they were really good too. We shared sweet potato fries(fresh out of the fryer, but pretty generic sweet potato fries). This place is pretty close to my house so I’ll definitely be back for a beer and some bar food.

Stopped in on a Saturday night to check this place out. Interior seemed nice and modern. It was moderately busy with mostly a younger college type crowd. I was impressed with the nice selection of beers on tap and amount of TVs. It was mainly a sausage fest in there with not many girls. They did have a few guys feeling each other’s pecs and putting each other in headlocks. Maybe thats when the girls left I don’t know. I liked all the sixteen acres street signs on the wall. Nice way to represent my hood. Just stopped in for a beer and not food. Would go back to try the food sometime.

Good food and lots of beer on tap. Drinks are priced decently and a full liquor selection. Can’t loose with a shuffle board. Nice place overall.
