Tony’s New York Pizza II

When we want to take out pizza, this is one of our favorites. We call on the way home and pick it up usually about 15 minutes after we called. We love to get their cookies to go too. They do have a nice dine in area too, but since it is so close to our home we always get it to go.

I am 55 years old. So, if I was average… and actually I am above average, my mommy told me so, I have consumed 2530 slices in my lifetime. Therefore I probably qualify as a real pizza expert.
Also, I have lived in both Chicago and NY so I again qualify! Now, my personal favorite pizza is Neopoletana style cooked in a brick fire oven. However, sometimes, one just needs a slice of NY pie, some garlic knots and a pepperoni roll.
I have found that place in Houston.
Antonio the owner is from Long Island and makes what I think might be the best NY slices in town. I ordered a pepperoni slice and the wife asked for Margharita. They added the basil, tomato slices and some extra fresh mozzarella to a cheese slice to make it. Antonio gave them some extra time in the oven so they were nice and crispy. I really loved it. The garlic knots were fresh and soft. The marinara sauce for dipping was a little bit sweet for my taste, but still pretty good.
I love this place!

This is the closet to NY pizza I have had since moving to Texas 5 years ago. The crust is exactly the way it is supposed to be unlike all the pizza places that only offer thin crust pizza. I used to love their white spinach pizza but they went from using real spinach to spinach leafs that are in salad mixes. So now I just order the traditional pizza which is fine by me.
I have ordered sandwiches from here but I personally prefer the pizza and the cookies.
The employees are always nice which is a huge plus.

Only pizza I like now! love Tony and his pizza!!! They are fast and it’s so good. He’s from queens New York so this is the closest you can get to real New York pizza. After you have Tony’s nothing compares!
And on Tuesday’s you can get a slice of pizza for $ 2! 2 slices max which fills you up!!!

Well worth a visit, just stumbled across this place. This right here is a very friendly environment and true fast food. Lol I will be returning again. Reminds me of home. Bravo

My favorite pizza place, New York style so thin and very cheesy. I usually order to-​go, they have interior seating but it’s a little on the «tight» side.

Pizza was great. Restaurant was pretty dirty. Way too many employees for it not to be clean.

Best place around for New York style pizza. Their cannolis are amazing too! We always order for delivery and for not being a chain they have fast delivery considering the competition in the area.

I live very close to this place, and get food from here every week. Thursday is cheese pizza day, wings are good can bit salty depending on what sauce you like. The Philly cheese steak is the best one I think I’ve ever had, easily feeds two. Seriously the best ever. The pizza is totally ninja-​turtle cheesy delicious. Light sauce, floppy crust, as far as ny style pizza or any pizza, in the area Tony’s is the best, hands down. The menu is big, don’t be afraid to explore it, I have yet to be disappointed in anything I’ve had. Garlic knots are an excellent add on.

Love the location on Jones road, and this one is close to my parents, so I turned them on to the best pizza in Houston. The locations are consistent. Best NY pizza in Texas. Never disappointed! Got the giant 28″ this time. This pizza is just as good or not better heated up the next day. Never a morsel of this pizza ever wasted.

Had them deliver delicious pizzas and wings at 9 PM at night on a Saturday and it was perfect. Perfect garlic knots. sooo moist and garlicky! !The pizza is always tremendous and the wings!

Natural ingredients — authentic taste — really enjoyed the pizza here. I like finding local food places that offer something different from the franchises. I would definitely recommend Tony’s pizza for a smaller shop and more original local flavor.

Finally got around to getting a delivery from here. Friendly, patient people on the phone. We got an order of lemon pepper wings, and a BBQ chicken pizza and garlic knots.
The knots were intense. So good. I hate when places skimp on the garlic in a freaking garlic knot. This place’s knots could kill twenty vampires each.

The wings were very good as well. Crunchy, not too salty, and flavorful. I’ll have to try the buffalo ones next time.

The pizza chicken was really interesting in there sense that they took breaded chicken pieces that were flavored like wings and put then on top of the pizza. Excellent idea compared to bland chicken squares you get elsewhere. It could have used less cheese, though. Solid crust but it didn’t stand out as exceptionally as the reviews made it to be. Very good nonetheless.

I really want to try their cookie. My friend has been raving about it. Will definitely do so next time we have folks over.
Great place

Had the 28“er delivered. Pizza was great with the chewy center and sour dough crust. The driver was great, met him down stairs and he insisted on bringing it up. As he was leaving the dog snuck out and he helped chase her down. Really nice kid, friendly and polite. If you know what New York pizza is you’ll love this place.

I received a 10 dollar off coupon for Tony’s in the mail, and i was anxious to try it. Most of the reviews claimed that this was authentic N.Y. style pizza. The pizza was ok, but lacked any flavor. It was very generic. The coupon was for dine in only and the place was a mess. When the girl behind the counter had a chance, she picked up the dishes off the tables, but never wiped any of them off. I saw several customers walk in, look around for a clean table, and after failing to find one, grab paper towels off the rolls and wiped the tables off themselves. The floor was disgusting. It was not busy when i got there, there is no excuse for the place being that dirty.

Recently took family here who were most pleased with the pizza. According to them «NY pizza has arrived in the H» I would hope they know what they’re talking about… They were born and raised and currently living in NYC, Brooklyn NJ and Long Island. If that’s not proof that Tony’s is serving up NY style pizza then… I don’t know what to tell ya. To each its own

I ordered a slice of Tony’s supreme pizza and really enjoyed it. There was nothing friendly about the service, but I can’t complain about the pizza itself. There were generous portions of olives, pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham, peppers, and mushrooms. The crust was delicious as well! If Tony’s pre-​cooked individual slices taste nice, I can imagine their freshly baked pizzas are stupendous.

Been wanting to try this place for a while and glad I did. Moved from NJ 10 yrs ago and while there are a couple of decent pizza shops in the area, it wasn’t quite the same… Until now.
Ordered 2 plain slices for lunch with a fountain soda and was in heaven.

I have my personal favorite pizza place by the house, but now and then the body craves something a bit different… and when that craving hits, Tony’s is my go-​to alternate pizza spot. This is New York style thin crust grease bomb pizza; it folds propertly and tastes delicious!
The staff is very efficient while not what I would call «friendly» (they do their job, but their customer service is not going to wow you anytime soon). Our personal favorite is the New York Meat Lover’s, it comes with several meat selections with large slices of Canadian bacon and pepperoni and giant chunks of ham, sausage, etc.
Also really like their wings, fried crispy on the outside while moist and juicy on the inside.
They have a pretty large menu with lots of selections. Haven’t tried the sandwiches but will next time. Very limited seating and can get crowded. Does have BYOB/​BYOW service which is nice, there’s a gas station right next door if you want to grab some beer to take in.
Foosball, Ms. Pac Man/​Galaga machine, and checkers at your table are avialable while you wait on your order (but don’t get too involved, the food doesn’t taket hem long).
