This store is PACKED with stock! The staff is always friendly and not care salesman over bearing like some places. Dudes hanging out in the store playing were all friendly. Owner or Manager, I don’t know which is always there and Seems to have a genuine investment in keeping people Happy. I will continue to make this my local gaming stop even if it is to rifle through the miniatures and get painting supplies.

Dirty!!! I play MTG and this place was filthy. Their singles were all placed in old and smudged sleeves and leaving marks on all the cards. I wanted and didn’t trust to touch anything in there. This place is just plan gross.

This is a great little shop. They don’t have a huge supply of comics or collectibles but if you’re into table top games it’s perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s a little small, dusty, and disorganized but that’s because they have a large selection for such a small place and it also helps keep the«window shoppers» out.

This store was previously located in Old Town Spring(400 Main St Spring, TX77373) and simply moved locations, its still owned and run by the same people. I have a previous review on the previous Unilocal page for this same store. This store has moved just East of Aldine Westfield on Cypresswood in the Shell Gas Station parking lot. Swords & Superheroes in Spring on Cypresswood continues to disappoint, after visiting on numerous occasions and finding it closed despite the posted hours, the staff and a couple other people were crowded around a TV playing a video game when I walked in to this new location. No one looked up. Two 4’x6’ game tables dominate the center of the room with piles of dusty and damaged, poorly maintained terrain underneath and on top of the table. Organization-wise this place has product stacked from floor to ceiling in a random haphazard order, most things are in piles. Numerous out of print product at above retail msrp prices in poorly handwritten numerals. When someone finally spoke up it was to ask if I needed help checking out anything when I already had stuff in my hand, I felt more like I was interrupting their game than shopping in a store during regular hours. I did find some old out of print JR miniatures terrain at a decent price, but I think this stuff came from Swords & Superheroes acquisition of Little Wars store inventory when they went out of business. Everything is so cramped and piled up that its tough to get around in the actual store. There is a large selection of out of print models for 40K, yet those same models can be picked up from the Manufacturers website in their collectors section for at almost half of what these guys are charging. There is a musty odor in the air, dim lighting, poor service, no outside food or drinks and I’m not going to overpay for something I can get at another local store. When I was paying for my purchases the kid at the counter had to guess at the prices because of the illegible handwriting and I had to argue with him about several of the interpretations. Additionally the point of sale system is manual entry only and the kid didn’t know how to give me an itemized receipt, so I had to trust that he entered everything correctly, nor is the register set up for the proper taxes, the kid had to look at a torn and tattered hand written reference sheet to guess at what the proper taxes should be. I almost said cancel the transaction, but I wanted the terrain. I’ll continue to step into this store and see how it progresses, but over months of being in the new location and multiple visits very little has changed and I can’t bring myself to purchase anything more from them.
