We came to Sk8town for my step-son’s 7th birthday party. Let me start by saying that the service we received by the party coordinator was wonderful. She was a school age young lady that made us feel like a priority, had a great attention to detail, and impressed us with her professionalism. We had purchased tokens during the party for the kids to play games after the birthday party ended. They received tickets from playing those games. We waited in a long line for the kids to be able to purchase items with their tickets for over fifteen minutes. During this time we watched other staff just hanging out, talking, and not coming over to help the one girl working by herself trying to help all the kids pick out items with the tickets they had. I walked to the front desk and waited patiently for someone to notice me. I finally asked a man for help at the prize area because we had been waiting in line for over fifteen minutes. He replied to me harshly, saying«I guess we should just IGNORE all the rest of the people, so we can take care of you!» At this point I did reply to him with the same rudeness he provided me; another gentleman behind him went into a back room to address the issue I assume, because after I returned to the line more staff appeared and we did receive service. When we got up to the prize counter, my wife pointed out the man I had been talking to and asked a girl who he was. She said he was the manager, Cody. It was very surprising to find out that the manager had talked to us like that! We knew the place was busy. I knew I would need to wait to speak with someone when I originally walked up the front to ask for assistance, and just needed a professional response saying they would do what they could to help us. We had just gotten finished spending a considerable amount of money, and a professional response would have been the bow on top of the service we had already received from the party coordinator. It was because of her service to us that I felt comfortable enough to approach the front asking for help to begin with. However, I will never give this business my money ever again, based off the actions of the manager, Cody. It would be understandable if the rude response was given by an employee needing coaching by a superior, but there is no constructive criticism that can fix the lack of professionalism at Sk8town, since it’s coming straight from the top. We gathered our things and walked out with no intention of coming back, and will never provide a referral. Pros: Service by party coordinator was personable, professional, and made our sons birthday memorable. The skate rental staff member was polite and prompt. Cons: Extremely rude and unprofessional Manager(Cody), who is not apt to sufficiently handle a high volume of customers. Frankly, he shouldn’t have been put in charge of running an establishment. Also, the pizza was very greasy and not worth the money.

This is for kids. I visited this location and it was full of children. Their parents drop them off and let them do whatever here. There was no control at all. I don’t recommend this place at all if you wanna have a good time. Most of the kids here were 16 and under. My son and I did not have a good time at all. I saw one adult. Oh yeah and a cop.

This place is a little dated but honestly, their staff was very nice and informative. I stopped by here to check out the scene for having a birthday party. Although they didn’t make the cut, they were very nice. Also, I didn’t like the fact that they nickle and dime you to accommadate guests… clearly that money isn’t going towards renovations… WOMPWOMP

First of all this place is great for kids. Made babysitting pretty easy. My only complaint are the food prices and the Pro shop. Come on folks… expansion is good… selling a wider selection of gear is also good. Then again I just have to digress because lets face it, there are no pro’s so I guess something is better than nothing? Pros: The rink is is good condition. Rental skates aren’t terrible but if you have some Riddell’s, bring em. Hours are good so it’s a fun place to set up a retro date. Dudes, show her your prowess in-line or on all fours(hahaha see what I did there!). If you’re lucky you might catch a derby girl working on her skillz. All in all it’s fun that has passed the test of time. Cons: As with any rink, they gotta pay the bills some how so to keep the lights on and the rental prices cheap, you’re going to get raped at the Concession stand. That 16 year old is totally serving you that lamp heated poor excuse for a microwave pizza slice for the same price as a Grimaldi’s hand crafted stone oven(gave a damn when they made it because it’s a craft) pizza. My point, eat somewhere else… or be a darling and contribute to keeping the lights on. I mean, dig picture… duh. The take. It’s fun. That’s why it’s here. Sure the security skating on the floor is probably still in high school but again, it’s fun and that’s why we’re here. So, if you know how to skate, knock the dust off those trucks and ball barings, and get on the floor for some good ol’ fashioned cardio. If you don’t know how to skate… well at some point you didn’t know how to ride a bike. Get with it, strap on some skates, leave your pride in your tennis shoes and GRABTHATRAIL. No shame! Go have some fun, and eat some over priced pizza. Just use caution and watch out for the kids.

SK8 Town is pretty much exactly the way it was 30 some years ago when I was in junior high. Good place for a kid’s b-day party or to get some exercise while listening to teeny bopper music you’ve never heard. There’s skee-ball, some video games and mediocre but filling pizza. I’ll also give ‘em credit for having several employees on the rink at all times to keep the peace and help kids(and adults) get back up before they are smooshed.

My first time at this place and also my last time. Was there for a friend’s kid birthday party and the place was a mess. Employees were rude and as well as the manager Cody. Don’t waste your money here

Here for a 6 yr olds birthday partay. Yes, it’s dated. Reminds me of rinks when I was a kid and I’m in my thirties. But this place is great fun! Good service from staff as they were very attentive. I’m sure parents save some money on a party here for their kids and kids have a fun time. Win/win CON: sink for washing hands is outside both boys and girls restrooms. Strange and health concerning. Seems it was an after thought?

This place needs a MAJOR overhaul. Everything is dated and even the floor had several bumpy patches. It’s clear that they don’t maintain anything. No wonder so many kids(and adults) were falling. Champions Roller World is much better!

Some of the décor is a little dated, but well maintained. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. Rink is in great shape. Makes for a fun and affordable outing for the whole family.
