Came here for dinner with my family to celebrate a holiday. The food was good: I ordered the El Greco pasta because it was praised by Emeril Lagasse and had raving reviews from my family members. My family ordered various seafood plates, ranging from shrimp to grouper. We also shared a Calypso Calamari appetizer. The calamari and pasta were both delicious. The pasta was a huge serving that really could be shared by two people(or, perhaps they should offer a half-size portion for a lower price — I ended up eating mine for the next three meals). The menu was rather expensive($ 11 for a chicken sandwich, for example) — for a family of four, the entire meal can run upwards of $ 100. Something to keep in mind if you come here in a group. Unfortunately, this is not a restaurant for vegetarians. While scanning the menu, apart from salads, El Greco pasta was the only vegetarian option. I also noticed, while using the women’s restroom, that they are in serious need of renovation. Ceiling tiles appeared to be falling out and yellowed with age, and I worried about possible mold that I could be breathing-in. The restrooms, in general, just did not feel safe nor clean. Hopefully, with time, this will be added to the to-do list because I think that R Beach will be sticking around for awhile.

I’m not really sure where to go with this review, to be honest. A few of us walked in around 10:45 on Friday night and we were led to the very back of the establishment where a DJ was blasting Latin music for two people who were dancing. The hostess walked us over the dancefloor and sat us at a table with a speaker in our face. We couldn’t hear ourselves think, and the hostess couldn’t hear a damn thing I was saying. It took us about 10 minutes to get drink and food orders in, but once we did, things moved quickly. I ordered nachos for me and La Chica to share and my son ordered a burger. No questions were asked. I wanted chicken, but beef was assumed and ordered. My son wanted medium-well for his burger, and luckily for him, that is what the waitress assumed and ordered. I guess you get what they order for you here! I sampled the burger, and it was pretty damn good. The nachos were very pleasing as well. I like that they bake them after piling on the cheese. It made for very crispy chips that were smothered in cheese, meat and grease. The portion size was enough for 3 people to split as an app, or for one person to enjoy as a meal. The vibe was like your typical Florida waterside restaurant that borders on the edge of being a dive bar. The dancefloor eventually filled up, and most of the folks getting their groove on probably should have been home and getting ready for bed. It was a strange mix of late-40s/early-50s rednecks and Latinos. The only thing missing was some bikers. Would I go back? I don’t see why not, but I would request a seat away from the dancefloor.

Showed up last Saturday night for dinner and said we had to have reservations nothing to mention about reservations on a website. Drove all that way for nothing, denied entry.

Had another fun night of dinner and dancing. Wednesday nights are always fun with Norm and the guys playing live Jazz. Even the music played in between sets got everyone up dancing. Food was great, especially the swordfish.

This was our first visit. Both myself and husband had the ribeye. It was cooked just as we asked. Service was à bit on the slow side as they had a retirement party in he Tiki Room. We will go back.

Ignore the negative reviews. They have obviously been left by their competition. This place is a cut above the rest. The building is older like most of the buildings in the area but don’t let that fool you. The food was awesome as were the waitresses. I ordered the shrimp alfredo and it was absolutely delicious. The shrimp were huge and the sauce was thick and creamy. My wife had a fish sandwich that was really good as well(but not as good as my alfredo). The owner even came over to our table to make sure everything was good. We’re planning on moving to the area soon and this will be one of our regular places to eat. Go check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

Ate here twice now. First time had chic quesadilla. They were great. Very tasty. Service was good. Today, not so good. Had grilled fish sand. The blandest fish I ever had. It didn’t even last in bread. Had to eat without. The atmosphere is nice, you have view of canal. They have daily specials. Price is so so. Parking is ample and easily accessible.

I found this place by way of my landscaper I am not from the area and wanted a nice place to grab a drink and a bite. So on the word of my landscaper I went and I did in fact enjoy the evening I thought the food was exceptional the servers were prompt and courteous. The only thing missing were the mints upon my departure they did not have any mints. Lol So I guess I have a new spot in Hudson when I’m in town.

I was in here today and had terrible service. It took over a hour and a half to get our food. Getting beers and our drinks refilled took a along time also. The manager told us that«the food was worth the wait«but just because the food is good doesn’t mean they can slack on service. The food we ordered did not merit the wait. Also there was a live band playing in the back and the music was so loud that it was impossible to have a conversation at my table which was in a different part of the building. This was the second time this has happened at this restaurant and it will be the last time we ever go back

We love this place! I was in Unilocal writing a review for a bad place and thought I should share what a fun place this is. We probably go an average of once a month but they remember us! The food is always well prepared and the ambience in the tiki room is just spectacularly«Florida.» The owner and his wife are always there making everything right and the jazz on Wednesday night is super. We love to dance and its a great place to do it. It doesn’t get too much better than this in the Hernando Beach/Spring Hill area.

Wow, really? The DJ actually called my wife a B*$%! for requesting a song!!! He also happens to be the owner, but regardless, you are going to call a customer a B*&^%? Seriously? Just play the song and be happy we are paying 5X the market price for drinks. DONOTGOHEREEVER!!!

We’ve been here a few times, and have been pleased every time. You can’t beat the specials. The prices, quality of food, and portions are all very good!
