My wife and I are big fans of Anthony’s, but tonight was particularly pleasant. The reason was twofold: the food and the server. My wife had the 4-course meal, which consisted of calamari, Caesar salad, True cod, potatoes and asparagus … all topped off with a hot fudge sundae! I ordered the crispy seared oysters from their special oyster menu, and it was a great choice. Both of us were thoroughly impressed with our choices, as everything was cooked to perfection. The flavor of the food, however, was enhanced by our server, Katie. Not only was she thoroughly accommodating, she was kind and welcoming. I’m sure she was busy, but she made us feel as though we were the only customers there. I watched her gently assist an elderly couple out of the restaurant, holding the door for them and thanking them for coming. I heard the couple behind us commenting on her exceptional service, which mirrored our sentiments as well. I recently had shoulder surgery, so I was bound in a stabilizing sling, and she showed a great deal of concern and compassion for my wellbeing. For years I worked for the Walt Disney company teaching gracious hospitality to the staff, and Katie is a prime example of what I would strive to instill into those I worked with. Any establishment would benefit greatly from having Katie on their team, but lucky for us, it’s one of our favorite restaurants that got her! Randy C Watts

The staff and food exceeded our expectations by a mile. We were enthusiastic about the restaurant when we arrived and the chef gave us the popcorn shrimp appetizer on the house. The non-alcoholic drinks we had were exceptional and the fish and chips were tender and rich in flavor. The only thing lacking was more salt on the fish and chips. However, I really liked that the crust on the fish was thin and was not coated in tons of oil! I will definitely be coming back here. The atmosphere is clean, friendly, beachy, and relaxing. The colors in the restaurant made me feel like I was back in California where I am from! Highly recommend!!!

Great place… Food was great… Their bread is really good… It’s kind of a buttery flatbread. The rockfish tacos were really great with the mango salsa. They have a great sauce called chili water(sweet chili-ish) sauce… The crab was really good too & the prawn dogs were tasty with a mustard sauce. I’ll be back for sure!

As someone who absolutely loves seafood, this restaurant is pretty good. It’s hard to come close to the seafood I’m used to on the coast, but Anthony’s comes quite close. Their options for Happy Hour are probably my favorite. I don’t drink, but I love the appetizer options they have available on the happy hour menu. For someone who enjoys smaller portion sizes, an appetizer is perfect for a meal. The only reason in not giving a full five stars is sometimes there’s a delay when waiting for service, even when there aren’t many people in the restaurant, but the wait staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes the restaurant offers. I’ll continue to come to Anthony’s Beach Café for my seafood fix. Thank you for excellent customer service and for delicious food!

BEST Happy Hour on the Hill; 3−6p, and 8pm — close. A 9 oz pour of house wine is $ 5 and they have several Happy Hour menu items for $ 5 and $ 1 oyster or shrimp shooters. Staff is very friendly and the food is amazing. A must try!

Anthony’s at the Falls, or where ever, is a go to place for us. The Beach Café, nope. I had fish tacos, and Mrs. C. had Fish and Chips. The fish tacos were almost tasteless, and the salsa was even less so. The tiny portion of Salsa was laughable. They did bring more, but sheesh, less than a quarter cup? The fish and chips similarly were very tasteless(well the fish, the fries were ok). The waiter apologized that they had changed the batter. The fish did not even look appetizing. The portions tiny. We usually share a meal as we are lite eaters. We did not share here as we wanted to get a feel for different foods. Fortunately we did not, as we would have left very hungry. As it was the only reason we were not hungry was the food kind of took away our appetite away. Throw in the fact that the place is terribly noisy(and there was a very sparse crowd when we visited) and it was just not a good experience. To their credit they asked how we liked our food and we were honest with them. The manager came right out to apologize. She gave us a couple of desert coupons to use at a future visit. Unfortunately, I doubt there will be a future visit. There are far better places to got what we like to eat,

We visited a while ago and we will not be back. We ordered the fish and chips and the fish was literally thinner than my phone and not tasty. The fish taco(not plural) contained a flavorless slab of fish and not any other favors in the taco to add any appeal. On a bright side the atmosphere was nice and wait staff very attentive.

Food is good and atmosphere is great. The only complaint is the late afternoon sun. Since last November we have been told that something would be done to block the sun. We like to sit at the bar but without anything to block the sun it is unbearable. I do not think the problem is with the restaurant but with the landlord. Also, the outdoor umbrellas are way to small. Everyone at the table can never get out of the sun at the same time. We love the staff and will continue to eat here but please put something in to help block the sun especially at the bar.

One word. Awesome! Great food… great service. I’ve been here 4 times in last 5 months or so. First time wife wanted to go food toeat at home. Loved her salmon dish. I loved my dish. I got an app of fried oysters, which my wife didnt eat but she doesnt like oysters. Acquired taste but I loved them. Since then my last three visits were for lunch. Aaron was my server the last two times and the other time at the counter was a wonderful lady who was great also. First lunch was fish and chips because I was jonesing for them. Great fish and chips. Next lunch I came in and Aaron suggested shrimp blt. I love sandwiches and blt is one of my faves. Add shrimp and a cup of chowder? THEBOMB! Happy hour from 2 to 5 also gives you one dollar shrimp shooters. I get one traditional and one zippy. Normally i like hot but traditional is my fave. I still get one of each. Great place. I come and order my sandwich and read usa today and espn on my phone to get away from life for an hour. They are awesome here. You gotta try it.

I came here alone for a quick lunch and was surprised by the uniqueness of their menu items and how reasonably priced everything was. My waitress was wonderful and I saw the(who I assumed was the) owner help sit people, bus tables, and check on guests. I did not feel like my portions were small and I thought the quality was perfect. This isn’t Seattle so the fish isn’t amazingly fresh(go to Seattle or somewhere on the coast for that). Overall, I would come back for their amazing happy hour menu, the quality of the food and the reasonable prices.

Finally had the opportunity to visit and grab a quick bit to eat… that is what I thought but we stayed a few hours! Wasn’t too sure if I would like the place but I have to say I really did. I had the Beach Café Prawn Salad(basically a caeser salad with sauteed prawns on top) and it was awesome. They have a small selection of wines but they had the one I loved so my meal was even better. We sat inside but if you can grab a seat outside you can enjoy the nice summer weather and an even better sunset. I will be a repeat customer at this joint!

My fiancé and I came here to enjoy a meal together, but weren’t pleased one bit. Our server basically ignored us and when we told them we weren’t planning to return the manager tried to offer us coupons, but we declined. This restaurant is not in a good place, it’s for a beach location with all the decorations and windows. Too pricy for the tiny portions.

We enjoyed Anthony Beach Café very much. Clam chowder is really good order a bowl instead of a cup. We go whenever we ate hungry for some good fresh fish tacos and drinks. Service was very good. Thank you Anthonys.

I can’t quite put my finger on why my experience here was only good for three stars.(Maybe I should give it three and a half stars.) The food was good, but there was nothing exceptional about it. The fish and chips were similar to most other fish and chips at most other fish establishments. The ambiance was not very inviting unless you literally just jumped off your surf board and zipped in for a quick snack, not a full meal. It definitely feels like a café. I expected to see sand on the floor. The hostess greeted us and seated us right by the door. This is never my favorite table at a restaurant and it is usually reserved for the(un)lucky group who get the only remaining open table when the restaurant is jam packed. When we arrived at 11:30 am the restaurant was completely empty. By 12:45, when we left, the restaurant was almost full. I may be tempted to try this restaurant one more time but there are a whole bunch of restaurants close by that I need to visit first. The high point – NoLi beer on tap!

My family came here to celebrate a birthday. For our group of eight, the waitress pushed two tables together. Unfortunately, the tables were near the door, which was a little cold for those in our party on one end. At 11:30 a.m., we appeared to be the first patrons of the day. Inside the décor is fun displaying past era’s swimsuits on the walls and other beach paraphernalia. However, it feels like a diner from the 50’s, and I certainly would not enjoy a romantic dinner here! I ordered the Hawaiian Cobb salad, asking if they could hold the won tons(didn’t feel like heaving my meal later – mild allergy). The flavors were perfection together: mangos, shrimp, bacon, avocado, tomatoes, bleu cheese and lettuce. Although I ended up being the last person to finish my meal, I ate it all, minus a few bites my daughter and son-in-law taste tested. I didn’t order a drink but two in our party ordered hot tea, which came lukewarm in cute little teapots. Since it is rather difficult to steep tea in something less than hot water, both were sent back. The waitress explained that the ceramic teapots just weren’t retaining heat. Would I come back? Absolutely! There is Key Lime Pie in a jar that I must try, I just didn’t save room for dessert, besides birthday cake was waiting at the house.

The food was good, not great. Our server was nice. The price however, not so good. We paid $ 13 for 2 little fish tacos and a side of chips and $ 25 for whatever seafood platter my husband got. The very causal beachy atmosphere just does not match with how much you pay. Lower the prices a bit and we will consider returning.
